I hope you get a chance to update soon. This beginning is hilarious and Shikaku is just like oh shit what have I done. Hiashi being sort of resigned and having held on to the sheet of paper leads me to think that he needs to get Neji out of the Hyuugas. It is refreshing to see him or at least see Hiashi appear to care about Neji.
This story has the potential to be amazing and I look forward to your next installment.

This is a great opening to what could be a wonderful Shikamaru/Neji story! I say go with it, and what ever else comes to mind, write it down. You can go so many ways with this plot (which is a great plot by the way, wish I thought of it ;p) I a looking forward to the next chapter which will hopefully be soon!
