Ahh, so it is finally revealed. Seems like Sasuke used to be apart of things Ithachi is doing now for Shikamaru to be the way he is with Sasuke. Poor Naruto. I understand how he feels about not wanting to abuse his friendship and I hope ge finds a great way to make it up to him.^^

That was a fun chapter! I enjoyed reading about Sasuke's job and seeing Karin squirm under his glare about the key and I'm happy to see Suigetsu in this and hope he's more fun as the story progresses.:d

I, personally, enjoyed the first half of the fic more than the second half just because I feel like the fic switched genres on me once Itachi appeared. I liked the quietness of the first half of the story, the subtle way Sasuke was slowly revealing himself to Naruto, the hint of mystery that surrounded him. That sort of thing appeals to me, and that's why I started reading the fic. Then when Itachi showed up, the story lost a lot of its easy-going feel in favor of adding an organized crime element to the fic, which in general is not something that appeals to me.

There's nothing at all wrong with the story, it's just that organized crime stuff is not to my personal tastes and I wouldn't have read on if I'd known it was going to appear. What I'm saying is, I wish it had been foreshadowed in the beginning is all. You know how in most horror movies there's some kind of small scare right at the beginning of the movie (the heroine hears a noise and thinks someone is in the house, but it turns out to be an open window)? The producers do that to let us all know, yes, this is going to be a scary movie. I think if you'd done something like that, like have Naruto briefly run into Shino (and realize he's yakuza) in the first chapter or something, then I would have been better prepared for the second half of the story and would have missed the first half less.

Excellent story. I made sure to look for any updates. Not too long and not too ulcer inducing. Kudos. Kudos. I hope you write more. And I am sure you know that your must write for your own pleasure and not others. Because if you aren't enjoying it then the reader will not truly find the connection with the writers heart. KUDOS!!

Oh wow! This whole story had me dying in laughter. Naruto was hilarious. He didn't want any "unwanted drama"! Hahahaha! I don't blame him. Sasuke and his family got some serious issues especially, his mother. I mean I wouldn't hug some complete stranger just because someone makes my child happy. I would at least give them a nice hand shake and polite chosen words. Damn, well Japanese do have a different way about things. You had their traditions down. Shikamaru and Shino? I never would've guessed. It was a lovely story and amused me greatly. I'm glad I stopped to read it.
