Nice and long chapter - with hot sex at the end too! I hope that this is not only a game for Sasuke either, and he doesn't break Naruto's heart... Actually, it was quite nice to see Naruto sort of fight back against Sasuke and be angry with him. And Sasuke is still quite mysterious: we don't know much about him, his family (will Itachi make an appearance?), his work (he does seem to spend a lot of time in Naruto's café!), or why he is in the United States... I'm sure Naruto would like to know more about these things too. :)
Will Shikamaru's hard feelings for Sasuke - or his jealousy - pose a problem? I hope Naruto doesn't end up having to choose between his friends and lover...
Also, thank you for your answer to my question. It was actually what I imagined about Naruto's background. Shouldn't he start taking Japanese lessons with the way he lives and a Japanese lover and 2 Japanese housemates? It must be a bit frustrating for him to be disconnected from his original language like that, particularly when he surrounds himself with the culture and rejects the memories of his unhappy childhood...

I wonder what Sasuke did to piss Shika off so much! I feel a little bad for Naruto. Sasuke seems to be playing games. A game that Naruto doesn't know how to win. :( It was a great chapter though. I want more and it was very beautiful.

I loooooove this!!!! I find the whole situation sexy in the extreme. Sasuke watching him, leaving him a gift, coming in and kissing him like that... and yeah like Shika said... marking him. I love possessive Sasuke. And I really like the little bits of thoughts we get from Shika. And his comments to Kiba are totally funny dry humor which is perfect for him. Look forward to lots more! :)

LOL. As a west coast native, your first paragraph almost gave me conniptions imagining the horror of Naruto's drive to SF. In NO traffic, LV to SF is a 9 hour drive. That's OK, that's a doable road trip. But if it's a holiday weekend or Naruto is driving during any part of rush hour, that time doubles, no joke. (Bay Area and Vegas traffic are always awful in general.) Now THAT'S a road trip I wouldn't want to wish on my worst enemy. Well, it sounds like Naruto didn't do it all at once, so hopefully he bypassed the worst of it.
Anyway! I kept thinking throughout this first chapter that there was something almost magical about Sasuke? He seemed like a normal guy, except not. Always staring at Naruto and staying longer each time he visits doesn't seem like something a socially well-adjusted guy with a 9 to 5 would do, and then there's the fact that the necklace is an antique and Sasuke refuses to speak English... it just gives him an air of mystery and possibly other-worldliness. I don't know if that how you want us to see him, but that's what I got out of it.
Can't wait to read the rest!

I like this little story, and I loved the descriptive writing, but I wish you would have dragged it out a little longer. It feels kind of incomplete to me. :/
But other than that it was adorable, sweet, and wonderful. <3

I love this story, its nice to get something different once in awhile and i was happy for the change in pace. Great job on the fic i look forward to more :)

it so refreshing to read a story that's different in a good way, i enjoyed this chapter very much and I love how you portray Sasuke great job on the fic , i cant wait for more <3

ohh I really like this, I like a shy but strong naruto and a Sasuke who doesnt mind the blond know he is interested, its so unlike Sasuke to stay and just STARE at him but I like that commanding and aggresive, the description of the charactors and how Naruto doesnt know Japanese but I do waonder what sort of game Sasuke is playing and does Shika have a crush on our Naruto?? hehe too cute..cant wait for more thank you for the read, huggles and smiles Mija..:-)
