No I don't mind Neji and Gaara being together. I wonder what would happen when Neji finds out that Gaara's hiding a fugitive though. Also I wouldn't put it past Itachi to hire his own private investigator to find Sasuke either.

Yay, new chapter! Things are heating up now that Naruto knows the truth (as far as Sasuke knows it, that is) and Itachi has arrived on-scene. I like everyone launching multiple investigations (Kakashi and Iruka, Itachi and his independent investigator, and now Sasuke, Naruto, and Gaara). I wonder who will figure it all out first? (Or probably what most likely, since the police have different resources than what Itachi has, or what Sasuke and Naruto know as the principles involved, they'll all figure out different pieces of the truth.)
Since you brought up Gaara and Neji in your A/N at the end, I'll say that my feelings on side-pairings is that they aren't bad in and of themselves, but I usually find them to be a distraction from the main fic. (A lot of the time, the side-pairing stuff is so marginal to the main plot of the fic that if I completely skip over it, it doesn't affect my understanding of the fic at all.) Personally, the best part of the fic to me is all the intrigue, all the twists and turns with Naruto, Sasuke, and Orochimaru. If Gaara and Neji are directly contributing to that (the way Kakashi and Iruka do), I don't mind reading it, but if most of the time they're off doing their own thing, I'll probably end up skipping their stuff.

damn, you up dated quite a bit... what i geet for not checking. Anyway, heh, damn, them sparks are flying. OOOOh, Itachi in the mix? cool. Well, one thing sure ain't changed from the original. the snake bastard is still a snake bastard. :P
