Yay! An update! So everything Sasuke has done with Naruto so far has been his way of double-crossing Orochimaru and NOT killing Naruto as Orochimaru wanted. Good job, Sasuke. Now that he's managed to get this far, I'm wondering what Sasuke's plan is both for himself and for Naruto. How long does he plan on keeping them at the cabin? And does he know about the money and why Orochimaru wants Naruto dead? I also wonder if Sasuke plans on telling Naruto the truth about Orochimaru. He's got to eventually since Naruto is in danger from him. But probably Sasuke wouldn't want to tell Naruto about that right away and risk him not believing him. What a pickle they are all in. Hope you update soon!

So Orochimaru plans on preventing the police from finding Sasuke long enough so that Naruto can be killed. Not only that, but he's also pretty confident that Sasuke (and Naruto's body) will be found. Makes me wonder what he told Sasuke to do, why he's so confident that Sasuke will do it, and how he knows it can be accomplished successfully. I don't doubt that somehow Orochimaru has thought of a way to make his plan foolproof. But I'm sure it will blow up in his face anyway because of how much he's underestimated Naruto, and how much he's also probably underestimated Sasuke. :P

I confess officer I'm guilty, lock me up and throw away the key!! I've been reading this story since the start and haven't reviewed once!!
Anyway I really like the pace of this fiction. There was some good background information about the lives of the characters in the first few chapters but you didn't spend a massive amount of time on the past which kept it from becoming monotonous, there was always something happening even if it was just an explination of how the characters came to be where they are. I'll be interested to read about Sasuke's past and see whether or not Orochimaru has something to do with his incarceration like I'm suspecting he does.
I hope to see much more from you, I'm really enjoying this story.

I really love this story. It is unique and well written. I can't wait for more and I definitely can't wait for Gaara.

ohhhh I just started reading this and I like it! Chap 1 & 2... I feel bad for Naruto. But that sneaky Orchimaru... I sense a set-up! He saw the attraction... can't have it get out that he's getting a divorce and having an affair... wonder how he's going to set it up so Naruto's the one cheating? Now watch... I'll be all wrong lol. And now for chap 3!

aaaaahhhhhh!!! I did not see the 'Naruto being a wealthy heir' thing coming. I did wonder how the heck he had ended up with sneaky though. I like that Iruka and Kakashi are on the case. Bet they figure out a lot lol. Liking this :)

Argh! Orochimaru is awful. So he never really loved Naruto and was intending to kill him after he reached 25 from the very start. On top of that, it sounds like he's blackmailing Sasuke (what was on that paper???) Can't wait to see how this unfolds!

I'm happy to see this being rewritten.

Never read the original version, but if you think it was too close to the movie it was based off of, then kudos to you for rewriting it to make it your own.

I liked all of what I read so far, particularly the depiction of Naruto's marriage. I like that Naruto was totally aware of the affair, and that he's not the idiot that everyone seems to think he is. (How lame that Orochimaru was shocked about him knowing when he was so obvious about things. He really has no respect for Naruto at all!) It's good that Naruto is the sort of character who will stick to his guns about getting out of this marriage, that he's been beaten down by Orochimaru, but is still basically Naruto.

The only thing I didn't like was the scene where Sakura wanted to check out the "sexy convict." It is hard to imagine that there would be lots of good looking inmates, as Sakura implied. (Somehow all the young dudes with good teeth who never did drugs just happened to be sent to Naruto's farm?) It is also really hard to imagine that Sakura would think it was a good idea to flirt with one of them--and especially not in the way she did by spilling water on him! (And Sakura feeling somewhat tempted to jump Sasuke?!) Since Sasuke is a convicted murder, that means Orochimaru's prison deals with serious offenders. You *don't* mess with these people. If the whole thing had happened more circumstantially, like they'd gone into the kitchen to get some water, were told it was OK to turn on the faucet, and then got a nice surprise out of it by accidentally soaking Sasuke, the scene wouldn't have bothered me at all.

Other than that, good job on the chapter.
