This is an interesting story. I'm not sure where you're going with it yet. What will happen by them going to Suna for two weeks? The obvious thing is that Naruto will have a brief romance with Gaara, but the whole rushing to Suna for a quick romance with Gaara after getting into an argument with Sasuke-thing is so overused. Plus, after what happened with Shin (and Sasuke adding to the mix) another romance would be kinda inappropriate right now. Naruto is trying to get over an abortion/being betrayed by his lover.
Perhaps the guys Shin was working for will capture Naruto while he is in Suna (or try to convince Naruto to willingly betray Konoha)?
Or maybe the real problem of the fic is Naruto himself? Kakashi's words make it seem like Naruto has unfairly blamed his friends for not becoming Hokage and other things he thinks are betrayals (but are really not). The thing with Shin at the beginning of the fic was surely a betrayal, but some of the other things?
I think it would be a good twist if there was a valid reason why Naruto didn't get to be Hokage, and not just the usual prejudice. Like they'd wanted him for the job, but his attitude had grown poor by that time so they had no choice but to make Sasuke it? Because if it was partially Naruto's fault then it gives him room to grow as a character. He can fix his attitude (or whatever the problem was) and steal the title of Hokage from Sasuke!
The Naruto in this fic is so very different from canon. I was shocked when it turned out he'd been fantasizing about killing Sasuke! The Naruto I know would never do anything like that for anyone but the worst bad guys (and maybe not even then); however, he wasn't just fantasizing about killing anyone, it was Sasuke, his most important person. How did it get so bad between them? Was it just the Hokage thing, so something more?
So it seems that Sasuke is in love with Naruto, yet he never bothered to confess his feelings until that moment on the couch when he kissed Naruto. Why not? Had he tried before but Naruto rejected him? If he couldn't get Naruto's love, then what kept him from reaching out to Naruto all this time and at least fixing their friendship?

I really think Naruto is interpreting too much in all the berayals he experianced!!! Its like he said to Kakashi it is not like the world is revolving alone around him!!!! But I hope he will be able to see that some time!!! Thanks for the update and see you again soon!!!!

Wow, this looks to be really good! Excellent first chapter, great plot you got going. I'm looking forward to reading more and finding out what happens.
