Now this... this story line is really really interesting. I think this is the best plot I've read from the stories you have on here (though I admit I haven't read all of them). And what a plot it is. It's very original making Naruto an orphan from someone other than the Uzumaki's and his plant affinity is unique. Naruto's test was still too easy for him but I really like that he has this mysterious past that brings up a lot of questions and possibilities. Sakura is ever annoying but that's normal. Sasuke is a bit of the extreme spoiled brat which would partially be explained by his clan still being around... but would he really be that stupidly arrogant and ignorant especially with an older brother like Itachi to look up to and impress?
Anyway... I also like that you have Kakashi ignoring Naruto and giving misleading reports about him but not actively abusing him. It's also great that we don't know why Kakashi is being that way. It is something that shouldn't be given away too soon. I like the fact that you are not solving everything so quickly in this but the plot is still progressing :)

Another chapter well written.The way you portray Naruto is so cool. Smart,but not snotty smart. The mystery jonin had me going crazy until the end. Ah, very clever of you.I would never have guessed who it was. Minato seems smitten with the young Uzumaki. Could love be in the air ?I wonder.
