Sasuke hadn’t spent much time pondering over what his return to Konoha would be like. He hadn’t the time nor the energy to waste during his time with Orochimaru. It was stay awake, keep alert, be ever ready to defend yourself, or die. Sasuke wasn’t about to default to the latter option and so, as he always had, forced himself to adapt. He learned to cope with his new environment, rising through the ranks with ease and efficiency.

Life with Orochimaru was by no means easy or pleasant, but it was simplistic, in it’s own way. All Sasuke ever really had to worry about was his tone when addressing his new master. It hadn’t taken long to learn just what sent Orochimaru over the edge. Sasuke was careful in learning all of Orochimaru’s ticks, his habits, superstitions and his definition of pleasurable moments. All in all, while he was constantly fighting for his life – and the maintaining of his sanity – he’d never been subjected to any real torture.

Not like this.

He’d known before they’d even arrived. Naruto’s particular chakra pattern was not only irregular, it was familiar. Sasuke had woken up, knowing they were just beyond the gates. He’d taken his time. Meditating, dressing slowly. When he was ready, he strapped his weapons close to his body and walked out into the hall, on his way to the front gate.

They were here, and they’d be coming for him. Sasuke made sure he was ready. He’d learned all he needed from Orochimaru, there was nothing left for him here. And while he would likely face severe punishment - likely torture – he was prepared to undergo whatever was necessary to be reclaimed by his village.

They wouldn’t kill him. He was too important, and they all knew it.

Standing there, waiting to be captured, Sasuke’s mind wandered back to his last momentous battle with his self proclaimed Best Friend. The battle at the Valley of the End had taken more of Sasuke’s soul than he’d immediately realized. It’d taken almost four years to figure out just what the agonizing feeling in his chest was. Not guilt, not rage. Nor hatred, nor fear. Sasuke’s heart, his very soul, was longing.

Until now he couldn’t be sure of what. Then Naruto was moving. Sasuke opened up his senses to feel him approach. And just like that, he was thirteen again. Heart racing, pulse surging, adrenaline rushing through his blood at the mere thought of facing him.

He opened his eyes and watched the body fly at him. Clad all in black, hidden entirely. Save those twin fathomless blue depths that burned, setting Sasuke’s body aflame.

He didn’t move. The glow of Rasengan nearly blinding. Still, he didn’t move.

Naruto stopped, landing hard before him, eyes as clear at translating his feelings as ever. Blue washed over them, blue surging through Sasuke’s chest, coating everything inside.

They stared at one another.

Sasuke dropped his weapons.

Naruto had spared him another minute, lost within him, before punching him hard in the abdomen. Sasuke could have deflected. He didn’t. Neither did he dodge the blow to the back of his head.

As he lost consciousness, he felt strong arms encircle him, embracing him tightly. All he could think, was he’d finally found where his home had gone.

Frankly, Sasuke had expected more. Torture, imprisonment, a trial at least. But here they all stood in the Hokage’s office. Sasuke didn’t spare a glance more than necessary, taking in the forms of his old schoolmates. Carefully feeling out the new bonds between them.

“Uchiha, Sasuke,” said Naruto.

Sasuke looked to him; waiting for the Hokage to arrive and rain down what he surely knew was coming to him. Instead, he watched Naruto lean back against the large desk – lean body stretching sensuously. Sasuke swallowed, but didn’t otherwise react.

“You are pardoned.”

Sasuke watched the reactions of the shinobi surrounding them.

Kiba looked ready to contest, mouth open, hand up, but Shino lay a hand to his elbow. Neji’s body tensed, arms crossed over his chest and said nothing. Shikamaru didn’t stand from where he was leaning against the wall. Chouji, beside him, gave a sniff and reached into his pocket for what appeared to be a sandwich. Lee gave a bit of a frown from his position by the window, but didn’t interfere.

Sasuke didn’t quite understand, looking them over once more, in the hopes that he missed something.

Naruto smiled at him, reaching out to give him a friendly pat to the shoulder.

“Get some rest, and we’ll go out for Ramen tomorrow.”

Sasuke looked down at the hand on his shoulder, then up, meeting Naruto’s eyes. This had to be a joke.

When he didn’t move, the others moved in closer. Sasuke could feel the hostility, but surrounded by so much, couldn’t quite pin point the cause. Still, when he refused to move again, Neji stepped between them.

“You should thank him.”

Sasuke met the Hyuuga’s eyes, finding Neji to be much taller and just a bit broader than he remembered. Kiba gave a low growl to his left and folded his arms roughly over his chest.

“Neji,” Naruto said softly, hand catching the brunette high on the arm, and gently pushing him out of the way. “It’s all right.”

Sasuke felt a sudden surge of rage. The soft tone, he’d never before heard. Dripping with emotion and intimacy. He watched Neji step aside, but keep close, standing behind Naruto now, chest inches from the blonde’s back.

“Tch,” commented Shikamaru. “You could do yourself a favor now and save us the troublesome corrections later.”

Sasuke looked over his shoulder.

Shikamaru waved away a yawn and rubbed at his eye. “Now say, ‘Thank You, Rokudaime,’ so we can all get home to bed.”

Sasuke blinked, then turned to look at his former teammate who grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. Rokudaime…Kami-sama….

Learning that Naruto of all people had actually been named Rokudaime was a bit of a shock. While with Orochimaru, Sasuke had learned certain…secrets…and was positive they’d keep his friend from his lifelong dream. Apparently, he’d been wrong. Very wrong.

Much to his surprise, Sasuke found that Naruto – the once hated brat of Konoha – was a rather beloved Hokage. He’d slowly earned everyone’s respect, if not their devotion with nothing more than his determination and completely irrational point of view.

He’d only recently come to office, but in that short time, Konoha had grown. New clans choosing to devote themselves to the Rokudaime, travelling from all over to settle into his service. His core group, were what was left of the rookie nine, and the odd – to Sasuke – addition of Gai’s former team. Naruto even had the sworn oath of the Kazekage – forging an alliance, the strength of which had not yet been seen between shinobi villages.

The villages that did not ally themselves kept out of the way, fearing the dual strength the alliance with the Hidden Sand provided. And those who would war with them had yet to make a single move. In Naruto’s first year, he’d accomplished far more than anyone had imagined, far more than most had thought him capable of. And as he proved himself, his people became more comfortable with him in such a seat of power and influence.

Naruto had won the right to the title over the course of his life. A life Sasuke now realized, he didn’t know at all.

Trailing the Rokudaime wasn’t an easy task at all.

Naruto’s senses were far keener than Sasuke recalled. And with his personal body guard – a one, Hyuuga Neji – anything the Rokudaime missed would easily be caught in the gaze of the elder shinobi’s Byakugan.

Sasuke didn’t want to push his limits, but as Naruto hadn’t given him any, he decided it wouldn’t hurt to take liberties.

Settling on his perch, Sasuke used Sharingan to see the pair in the office more clearly.

Naruto crossed the room and dropped into the chair behind the desk wearily. After closing the door, Neji paused, before moving across the room to him. He circled around, coming to stand behind him. Sasuke decided he needed a better vantage point as Neji massaged Naruto’s shoulders, the blonde’s head tipping back, eyes closed, mouth open slightly.

The window was open, and the wind carried the soft moan to Sasuke’s ears. Dropping down beside the window, he listened.

“-pushing yourself too hard,” Neji was saying. “You’re going to injure yourself if you keep this up.”

Naruto groaned. “Neji, I have to do this. My word-”

“I know, I know. It’s your way of the ninja.”

Naruto nodded, leaning further back. Sasuke watched the way his shoulders bumped Neji’s hips, before his eyes fluttered open. Neji met his gaze, before leaning down. Sasuke watched them kiss and felt the darkness within him stir.

“Mm,” murmured Naruto, caressing Neji’s face. “I’ve missed you.”

Neji smiled, and it was so tender, Sasuke felt ill.

He rubbed over Naruto’s chest, leaning forward until he could kiss along his collar. “You’re the one who said ‘No sex on missions’.”

“You distract me,” Naruto replied, with a private smile.

Neji moved around the chair to the desk, leaning back into it. Naruto leaned forward, splayed hands smoothing over the older shinobi’s body. “We haven’t…” He kissed over the soft fabric covering Neji’s navel and began to work the buttons loose. “For a long time.”

“Too long,” Neji agreed, as he was freed and tongued.

Naruto moaned, Neji’s hands moving to curl in his hair.

From his perch, Sasuke could see Neji disappear between Naruto’s lips. Each bob of the blonde’s head causing the Hyuuga to groan a little louder, falling further back against the desk. Naruto kept going until Neji was panting hard, propped up on one elbow, while his arm stretched out to caress his soft hair.

Naruto pulled away smiling and licked his lips, meeting Neji’s pale eyes. “I have a mission for you,” he said, crawling over him. Neji moaned, head thunking back against the wood. Body over the other’s, Naruto leaned into him, smiling at the accompanying moan. He ground his hips against Neji’s and hissed softly.

Neji’s hands grabbed his rear, squeezing as his legs swayed open further. Naruto smiled and tongued his ear. “I want you to submit to me,” he breathed. Neji arched beneath him. “Do you accept this mission?”

“Yes.”

Sasuke watched as clothes were shed slowly. He’d never thought Naruto would be the type of lover to take his time. He supposed the blonde would take sex as he took everything else. Fast and hard and blow for blow. He wasn’t entirely wrong.

Neji gripped the table edge as Naruto bit down his spine, fingers twisting within. His long dark hair spilled over the side, sticking to his neck and shoulders. Naruto reached up and moved it aside as he positioned himself. Using the chair for leverage, and the desk for balance, Naruto lay one hand to Neji’s lower back and entered him.

Instead of a moan, Neji’s forehead made contact with the desk. He beat it there twice, before arching back and gasping. Naruto was slow at first, taking his time, drawing it out, teasing him. But as he found his own pleasure deepen, he accelerated. Wrapping Neji’s hair about his fist, he pressed his elbow into the desk at Neji’s side and began to thrust harder.

His thrusts grew in speed and apparently accuracy – as the Hyuuga vocalized in guttural tones at the ceiling. The desk began to shift beneath the force of Naruto’s thrusts, and Neji had to steady himself, red welts emerging against the pale flesh of his hips and thighs.

Reaching between them, Naruto grabbed Neji and began to pump him in counterpoint to his thrusts.

Sasuke’s heart was racing. His pulse was pounding. And he could feel his throbbing, swollen member, leak tears of injustice against the cloth of his pants. He refused to touch himself. Not while Naruto was taking. Not while Naruto was with someone else.

But it was hard to watch. His own personal trial to endure.

As Neji came, his eyes seemed to stare Sasuke down. Finding him in the midst of the darkness and issuing the challenge. Sasuke growled, chest tight. He’d take that challenge, damn him!

Naruto was making small sounds of effort as he neared. Hypnotic little moans that ground deep into Sasuke’s being. Neji bucked back against him, eyes holding Sasuke’s.

Naruto came, with a shout and collapsed against Neji’s back.

Sasuke and Neji stared hard at one another for a long moment, while Naruto gathered himself. Neji only looked away when Naruto began to softly pet his back. Turning to face his lover, he kissed him tenderly and caressed him.

“Neji, I love you,” Naruto whispered, moving into his arms.

Neji drew him close, kissing the top of his head. “I know,” he replied, looking to Sasuke once more. Sasuke felt the jolt reverberate through him. Then Neji dismissed him all together. “I love you too,” he replied softly, stroking over Naruto’s side and kissing his shoulder.

Naruto hummed happily and closed his eyes.

Sasuke stood and took his leave. He’d need a plan. And he’d need it to be absolutely, undeniably perfect.
