~Chapter1~
Disclaimer: I really really don't own Any of Naruto's characters or a story behind it. And no money was made from this, just pure fun. Or else it would happen as soon as Sasuke first saw Orochimaru mwahahaha *cough*
A/N: Ahem…My first fic, so bear with me please, and since English is not my first language I hate posting this without a beta, but hopefully I'll get one in the future *sweatdrop* And I promise there will be smut later on in the story, I wanted to keep boys in character and well…It's a difficult pairing to start with. I don't like violence so hopefully it'll be different from what anyone could expect ^_~

~A contaminated container~
Silenced echo, crawling helplessly down the dark walls, stretched out its trembling arm to brush the softest of sounds just a few inches away from Sasuke's ear before cowardly withdrawing to the safe and familiar surface of the cracked walls that didn't actually seem to care or notice their old and withered occupant.
"Sasuke..."
The voice pleaded breaking the silence. A low husky rumbling sound of a badly wounded but still dangerous animal writhing in agony.
"Sasuke..."
Uchiha felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up, overworked neurons sending millions of signals to the stunned muscles forcing him to move further. His eyes flickered crimson, activating sharingan only after a moment's hesitance, eyes scanned the darkness carefully, slowly and thoroughly following any misplaced or misshaped shadow dancing in the dim lightning. Threatened echo whimpered quietly in the corner, retreating to safety and covering its weak body with a curtain of obsidian silence. Voice fainted...
Sasuke's hand instinctively slipped onto his hip, fingers squeezing clothed kunai as he resumed his slow pace, still cautious of the new surroundings in the shadowy hallway. His quest for more power and strength had only begun, but young male already had a feeling that it will be a hard and painful path, full of betrayals and sacrifices. And though this place was giving the creeps to young and perceptive Uchiha he was ready to welcome any change within those walls. This faded voice however was agonizingly familiar, though it carried new and strangely distorted notes of desperation.
Invisible in the dark Sasuke shrugged, shaking off the sticky feeling of important thought lingering on the back of his mind before showing it back into the curvy labyrinths of his conscience. He will think about it later, after meeting Orochimaru in his hidden fortress. Truly a snake's hide he thought to himself approaching heavy wooden door framed in metal trimming and hesitating for a second or two just to let his breathing get back to its calm undisturbed pace before forming a fist to tap his tensed knuckles against the polished wooden surface.
"Come in Sasuke, I was waiting for you"
The door opened slightly with a soft creak before he had a chance to push it open and vaguely illuminated face met him in the gap, its features cringed with a faint resemblance of a smile before it disappeared into the darkness and the door swung open, letting Sasuke catch a glimpse of a large dark room, a few flickering candles in the corners providing rather dim light, bright enough for the boy to make out a face and curved in a sly smile mouth of Kabuto, standing behind the heavy door and silently motioning younger man to enter. Taking one step inside Sasuke eyed the rest of the room, noting another formless silhouette in a chair deep inside the quarters.
Giving Kabuto a small node as a greeting he proceeded forward, following the path left by a partially open door further in before it was swung shut, leaving young Uchiha with two shadowy figures in a total silence. He blinked a few times, letting his eyes adjust to the low flickering and swallowed strong desire to bring forth his sharingan. He came here hoping to get help and he expected to be treated as an ally rather than enemy. But it never hurt to be extra cautious even among friends. Lightly patting his kunai Sasuke opened his mouth for a greeting but the same low whispering voice he heard before entering, and as he secretly suspected, the one he got a faint echo of broke the silence.
"Welcome Sasuke. I hope your journey was fairly easy. Did you find this place on your own? "
Sasuke froze, pinned to his place with two clear yellow diamonds, gazing at him from their shady ambiance before their owner chuckled softly, noting his hesitance. "Well don't be afraid, you can come closer. After all, I've waited so long to finally see you again." A figure rose from its place, stepping into the light and standing before his eyes in all its brilliance. A wide, deceptively gentle grin widened Orochimaru's features as he bent slightly to deliver his intoxicating voice into Sasuke's ear." My dear boy, you finally found me, you finally came." A tip of snake's tongue slithered slowly along man's full bottom lip, almost tasting the air between them.
Granted, Uchiha was not of a cowardly bunch, but a low husky whisper rustling intimately next to the curve of his ear tightened a knot in his stomach. Desperation drove him to this man, awakening hunger for power he never knew existed. There is so much to learn but at what price? Sasuke shuddered in disgust, giving Orochimaru a sideway glance.
"My journey was safe enough, now would you mind getting out of my personal space Orochimaru-...sama?"
Hesitating before adding honorific Sasuke knew the words rolling off his lips were rather harsh and tried to soothe the blow with proper level of respect. But he felt extremely uncomfortable with the snake hovering that close to his ear. Older man arched an eyebrow, a smug smile tugging on the corners of his mouth as he retreated. "Of course...Sasuke-...kun." Yellow eyes scanned Uchiha brat carefully. "Kabuto will show you to your room now. We will talk after you rested." With a quick spin Orochimaru ended their short greeting and headed for the door, dropping to his attentive servant on the way. "Kabuto, escort our young friend to his room and make sure he has everything he might require." With that Orochimaru paced out of the dark room through the door, courteously opened by Kabuto the minute he moved towards it.
Puzzled, Sasuke blew the air out of his lungs slowly, heartbeat returning to its pace as Orochimaru left the premises. There was something about the snake that constantly bothered him, something other than fear. Indeed he was strong, and with new power he was about to obtain he will become even stronger. But Orochimaru was someone he shouldn't underestimate. Plus, he bitterly admitted to himself taking a few steps towards Kabuto, he felt a strange admiration towards the snake. Fuck, just what I need Sasuke mused at the thought, noting that there was a time when just a mere mention of Orochimaru would make him shudder in fury.
Shrugging off the thought Uchiha drew his eyebrows together, facing Kabuto. "So shall we move?" The latter twitched slightly at the arrogant tone of the younger male. Kabuto was by Orochimaru's side long enough to know Sasuke was indeed important to the snake, but what gives..? This pretty new container was so full of himself. How amusing...
Pushing eyeglasses up the bridge of his nose he nodded. "Yeah, let me show you to your room." Kabuto was smart enough to hide his irritation. Sasuke was just too young and too inexperienced. However...Kabuto chuckled internally twisting the door knob to swing the heavy wood open You, my young butterfly should not approach the fire too quickly, it's easy to get your wings burnt. He turned to Sasuke, motioning boy to follow him, eyes behind glasses filled with nothing but emotionless darkness. "Right this way."
The echo of their steps filled the empty corridors, bouncing off the chipped walls lazily. Once again he was walking those hallways, dark and unfriendly. But this time it was different, the whispering voice didn't return. Only Kabuto shared this dark empty space with him, or rather his back now about a few feet away from young Uchiha. Sasuke sighed and rushed to fill in the gap, closing on to older nin and walking just a few inches behind him. He'll have time to think about the rustling voice later, or about its origin. Right now he needed rest, that last fight with Naruto drained him physically as much as emotionally.
True, Sasuke could not kill his best friend and companion of the past few years. But that didn't mean he gave up on obtaining power, just changed the direction, still headed for his goal- kill Itachi. How ironic, most likely Naruto will never find out about his weakness, nor that Sasuke was planning on telling him that he chose to rather weigh on Orochimaru hand and foot than kill a person he cared for the most. Pathetic… That's what Itachi would call him right now. But Sasuke was willing to live with that…For the time being. Power was his to take; it's just a matter of time and will. And Orochimaru...His conscience added sarcastically, mocking Sasuke's attempt and killing any excuses in their bud. Snorting annoyingly young Uchiha couldn't fight what he already knew, but for the time being he chose to ignore that mocking voice, along with any self beating over the facts he couldn't change. Naruto was alive and he was at Orochimaru's hideout, which is reality and no reason to probe it any further.
The trail of thought snapped abruptly for he almost bumped into Kabuto's back, giving Sasuke's reflexes a chance for a comeback in their full glory. With his nose inches away from older nin' spine Uchiha braced himself, forcing down an impulse to protect his face from slamming into other man's muscular frame with both hands. Instead he forced a large chunk of chakra down his toes, looming behind Kabuto and holding on to dear life, millimeters away from embarrassing himself. His feet survived, along with his pride. And it was a huge relief to control everything, including his posture right before Kabuto turned around, facing Sasuke.
"We're here, this will be your room from now on."
Kabuto gave his companion an inquiring look, brain registering and processing millions of threads of information behind emotionless face. Black eyes framed in almost girly looking long eyelashes turned to him, showing as much nothingness as his own.
"Thanks."
Sasuke practically hissed in response, still slightly flustered from the incident that almost occurred. Turning eyes to the door in front of them he palmed its metal knob, cold grasping on his slim fingers momentarily as soon as the contact was made. His room… Nodding his appreciation Sasuke eyed Kabuto questionably.
"I guess I'll be seeing you around then, ne Kabuto?"
A wicked resemblance of a smile crooked Kabuto's lips as his eyes behind round glasses greeted the side of Sasuke's face. Spread your wings... for now, Sasuke.
"Of course, I believe you can take it from here. I'll show you around tomorrow." Giving Uchiha a small bow Kabuto retreated to the dark confines of the silent hallway, leaving Sasuke one on one with the door to his new life.
As soon as the faint footsteps merged with silence young Uchiha twisted the knob, swinging door inwards and slowly stepping inside. His room was solemnly quiet, barely lit with a few candles scattered on top of various pieces of furniture. The light flowing from narrow flickering columns of fire revealed freshly made bed with new crispy sheets tucked neatly under the edge of the mattress and topped with seemingly warm blanket of undetermined color. A lonely chair guarded small wooden desk with a couple of drawers, strategically positioned next to a wall opposite of the bed to give this small room more space. On it's left-another space filler, one massive drawer with a few compartments and a couple of missing handles. No windows. Sasuke wrinkled his nose; this room seemed so cold and different from what he had in Konoha. However it was merely a place to sleep in and spend those few hours of precious solitude he so often required to indulge his appetite for dark heavy thoughts.
"Man, this place clearly smells of suicide."
He could deal with empty walls and darkness, but the sinister atmosphere will take some getting used to. No matter, Sasuke ignored the door to a small bathroom partially open to reveal a light blue curtain separating the sink and a toilet next to it from the tall booth with the shower head, attached to a long metallic stall. He will take a shower in the morning, right now this attractive bed looked like it could use some company.
Scooting over the sheets Sasuke didn't bother to remove his clothes, although his long shorts, still slightly damp from the rain he encountered on the way here, clung to boy's thighs uncomfortably. Sighing in mild irritation young Uchiha reached into the front pocket of the soggy shorts to retrieve his sharp looking kunai, free from blood...Naruto's blood that was suppose to mark its shiny surface by now. But instead its untainted facade now mocked the boy, reminding him of a choice he made. A choice he'll have to live and die with. There was no turning back, his job as an avenger starts here.
"Sasuke..."
Voice rustled inquisitively, turning Uchiha's blood into ice, seal on his shoulder throbbed painfully. More of a moan echoing through the distance, making its way to this isolated room just to reach his ears. A sound of muffled despair, again so strangely familiar. Sasuke shivered, this place was getting creepier by the minute. Instinctively his fingers curved around the handle of his weapon, its coldness sending a few comforting waves to the strained knuckles now whitened with tension.
"What a hell..?"
A few minutes later, when the voice didn't return Sasuke finally drew a deep breath, relaxing only slightly, kunai still in the tight restrain of his palm. Just to be sure, young boy tucked his silvery sharp friend under the pillow, feeding on a faint sense of security it provided for the time being. Just in case... It could've been only his imagination, after everything he's been through. Understandable.
Comforting himself with the thought Sasuke stretched out on a bed, staring at the ceiling, arms bent with palms tucked under the back of his head. Sheets clung to the bare patches of his smooth skin soothingly, lulling young tired body to sleep. Comfort splashed throughout every strained muscle, wet clothes were soon forgotten as slumber loomed over the raven head. Sasuke closed his eyes, mingling on a border between consciousness and a wonderful land of dreams. However aware he might have been nature took its tall, sending young Uchiha into the deep abyss of lethargy. Suddenly charcoal eyes, hazed with unseeing dreams flew open, a revelation breaking the silence.
"Orochimaru..!"
Barely a whisper rolled off the pink lips, kissing the emptiness softly before disappearing under night's curtain. Sasuke, hardly aware of the discovery, fell back into his unconsciousness, with echo being the only witness to the rustling acknowledgment. It took the gift possessively, carrying the name through the old corridors, brushing it against every chipped wall until it faded into undefined twilight, timely delivered to the one who was above eternity.
!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!
"I will never forgive the old rat."
Orochimaru groaned painfully, warm streams of water running down muscular frame, hugging every curve in a soft caressing motion. But even this gentle touch of the liquid warmth brought pain to the man. He cringed gritting his teeth and hissing loudly, arms pitifully by his sides, bruised and brutally damaged by the curse. This new body he was using was indeed divine, young and strong. But little relief it brought to his handicapped soul, rightfully crippled by the Third Hokage in their last battle. Crippled, but hardly tamed, for Orochimaru was not about to give up without finding a cure. And his new container…
"Arg…Sasuke..."
A new wave of pain twitched his strong frame, twisting it into a human knot of agony. A few drops of blood dripping from his limp fingers were swiftly picked up and carried away by a silvery purity of water, running down twisted in misery body. Anything to get rid of this blinding pain, running through every nerve. Orochimaru lifted one of the aching arms slowly, yellow eyes hazed by enormous amounts of pain it caused. What a waste. He could still move it, fingers convulsed but complied with the power of this genius brain, but they would never form any seals, nor could he make this poor excuse for a limb obey him accordingly. But he was far from being defeated. Orochimaru tightened his aching fingers into a fist, new jolt of pain ripping a loud moan out of the male's throat.
"Sa...Ugh...Kabuto"
Behind the bathroom door Kabuto mirrored his master's shudder, quickly pushing the door inside and rushing to his Orochimaru dutifully with long robe thrown over his arm. Helping man out of the shower he noted a few drops of blood running down limp fingers and carefully wiped them off with a towel, hanging next to the curtain. Pity glossed his usually indifferent eyes behind glasses, now watching the agony his master was going through. Lifting the clothe off his arm Kabuto draped Orochimaru's shoulders, letting the material slide around each muscle naturally before helping each traumatized arm into the sleeve. Yet he was too occupied by the snake's current state to remember, there was no letting guard down around this man.
"Don't you dare pity me, Kabuto."
Low hiss awoke the servant nin, dark eyes meeting yellow shining gaze. Orochimaru was staring right back at him, features of a beautiful face twined with fury. Ignoring the pain he cupped Kabuto's chin lifting his head up. Long devious tongue slithered around man's neck slowly, capturing his breath as it tightened around the milky skin. Orochimaru's eyes, outlined by dark lilac, barely inches away from Kabuto's own were clouded with pain, but there was more to it, the inhuman strength shone brightly, crushing every obstacle on its way. Low husky voice crawled under man's skin as he fought for another breath.
"Don't give me a reason to get rid of you."
Finally the tight grip of the snake's powerful weapon loosened, unlocking its cage. Orochimaru opened his fingers, letting go of man's face and wiped them off against the end of his robe as if the contact could soil him. Kabuto stood still before him, eyes to the ground. Indeed, he could never expect for a mistake like that to slip out, yet along to get away with it. However weakened Orochimaru might have been, he was still powerful beyond expectations and it was not his place, nor his rank to cast any judgment on this current display of a weakness.
"Forgive my arrogance Orochimaru-san."
Kabuto gave his master a deep bow, tiptoeing out of the room backwards with his face still turned to a snake-man, perspiration misted male's temples, sweat drops streaming down the back of his neck. Close…Very close. Adjusting the glasses on the bridge of his nose he murmured his apologies and rushed to the door, leaving Orochimaru's room rather quickly. Closing the door behind him Kabuto leaned against the wall, breath coming into its steady pace. He should know better than allow something like that to slip. Few years of servitude taught him to be careful around the snake, however today he was the weak one. Perhaps Sasuke will have a chance to break that fortress with his purity and hunger for power. Kabuto was a patient man, he was in no hurry to be killed, especially not by the one he pledged his life to. Parting lips in a smile Kabuto disappeared into the labyrinth of hallways once more.
Growling in disgust Orochimaru watched his servant disappear, apologies still lingering in the thick air of the underground premises. Knowing fairly well that something like that was not likely to happen again he still however let the fury endorse him. Anger was far better than pain, and he bathed in it gladly.
His room was only slightly larger that any other, decorated in the same fashion with minimum amount of furniture. Not that Orochimaru deprived himself of luxury, but this place was more of a hideout for the time being, and earthly goods would only bring unnecessary relaxation. Only one thing carried a luxurious streak within those walls, a worthy of a kind bed, clad in wrinkle-free lavender sheets. More of a necessity in his current state really. He needed room for his injured arms. It was needed comfort, plus Orochimaru couldn't get rid of this bed for another reason. It still carried the scent, or at least a slight resemblance of a latter, of his previous passion- Kimimaro. He knew that man, a boy when he first met him, was as good as dead when he left this place to fight for the only person who touched his young sensitive heart. Kimimaro was kind and responsive, filling in Orochimaru's long agonizing nights with gentle touch and soft soothing murmurs, along with other pleasurable sounds escaping those feminine lips.
Granted, it was their mutual need for one another that bound them, Kimimaro in search for anyone who would care and show him even a glimpse of love and Orochimaru, looking for a perfect vessel and thinking he would find it in a boy with strange eyes and rather amusing yet powerful ability. The last wish however worked against him, it was not too late when he realized that his underling was not suited to be a perfect container and discarded idea regretfully. But a mere thread of emotion brought Kimimaro into his bed in search for another way to please his master, and Orochimaru granted his wish accordingly.
Leaning onto the sheets Orochimaru pressed his back into the softness, lowering weakened arms by his sides. Already an image of his new young, fierce-eyed container occupied man's thoughts. Sasuke was full of live, talented and driven by a force snake was more than happy to use. He's also a very handsome container. Wincing slightly man admitted to himself. Uchiha was just a young man, but already the seeds of beauty sprouted in this slender body, making his appearance almost femininely beautiful. A lithe frame, when not shaken by fury or anger, was a sight to any eye, pleasing the view with its appearance. Those cat-like moves Orochimaru witnessed while observing Sasuke during their short encounters could make anyone's blood boil, firing up imaginations of women and man alike...
"Orochimaru..."
Soft whisper touched man's ears slightly, forcing him to bate his breath. The echo was faint and barely noticeable even in a total silence, marred only by the sound of his own breathing, but it was there. An eerie murmur, carried by his most devoted servant within the walls of his sanctuary. Soft chuckle rolled of Orochimaru's lips, a smug smile lifting the corner of his mouth. Beautiful features relaxed visibly, making man's face appear almost peaceful. A tip of the snake's tongue slid along his bottom lip without a sound, tasting that soft echo carrying his name. It was utterly delicious. The image of Sasuke sleeping soundly in his bed, eyelashes casting soft shadows on those smooth cheeks carved another trail of thought in Orochimaru's brain, basking in glory of this wonderful new find.
His arms were throbbing painfully but Orochimaru fell asleep with a smile, still lingering upon sensual lips along with the low whisper.
"Sweet dreams Sasuke."
