Just This Once

A gorgeous flaxen youth lay on his back, counting the stars in a futile effort to stay awake. Unfortunately that didn’t stave off the boredom for long so he started to make a star disappear by closing one eye and covering the star with his thumb; when that lost its value, he just sat there for a second contemplating on ‘why night watch sucked’.

An almost inaudible giggle carried from across the camp, belonging to the white-haired sanin clutching a bottle of sake, like it was more precious then gold

‘Stupid pervert,’ thought Naruto with a huff, ‘bet he's dreaming about girls in the baths again’.

Another giggle from the sleeping drunk and a lecherous grin appearing on the culprits face, all but confirming Naruto’s suspicions.

“Mmm, you should of told me you wanted to role-play I would of brought the syrup and toys, ladies,” murmured the hermit hentai.

Naruto’s face flushed scarlet, ‘Do I really need to listen to this the entire night? Again? What the hell, he is even more perverted in his sleep. Is anything sacred to this man?’

The man murmured something else that only made him blush all the more and was in the process of hitting his perverted sensei in the head. Luck was on the white haired pervert’s side when he ceased talking in his sleep and started to snore loudly.

‘Talking about nuns, the pervert has no shame.’

Turning to the fire Naruto noticed its flames beginning to wane, and promptly threw another log on it making it crackle loudly.

‘Its funny just looking at fire makes me think about Teme. Beautiful in a mysterious way but will burn you if you get to close. You said I was your best friend when you tried to kill me but I still forgive you. I have to...I need to get stronger to rescue you from that filthy snake, even if you try to be the arrogant prick you are. I’ll bring you back kicking and screaming.’ Naruto let his hand waver over the fire.

“You didn’t have to leave to become an even stronger ninja. You could have become stronger here… with me. You were my precious person, no wait a minute, you are my precious person. I’m not coming for you because Sakura wants you back any longer." Naruto hung his head in defeat. ‘I just want to see your scowling face again Teme. I won’t even mind if you even call me a dobe...I just-‘ Naruto dropped his hand and pulled his legs up and held them up against his chest, taking what little comfort it gave him.

Tears started to fall down his face, “I just want you back Teme.” He whispered.
Wiping away tears in shame, ‘I’m such a baby, what would you think of me, if could see me like this?’

Brushing his face over again he glanced over at the star streaked sky, ‘My one wish that is stronger than becoming the Hokage is that, where ever you are you still think about me sometimes, even as just a dobe.’

Emotionally exhausted, and tired of his futile attempts of night watch and the snores of his perverted sensei, he gathered his sleep gear and walked a little ways from camp.

‘I know I can’t sleep on the job, but I can at least meditate for a while. I just need… to stop …. to get away from this, this reality for even just for a moment.’


Quickly Naruto erected a few traps to provide some form of protection as he was meditating. With satisfaction he was able to settle himself in the middle of his sleep gear and began to meditate but alas with his short attention span he began to fall asleep. Meanwhile, the spy in the woods finally found his window of oppurtuimity to strike. The trespasser was clad in a lavender gi with an Otto headband tied firmly to his forehead.

The spy studied the perverted sanin for confirmation that he was truly drunk, before approaching his prey.

”Yes ladies there is enough of me to go around,” said the sanin before once again snoring.

The Otto ninja shook his head in disgust and began to gracefully walk towards Naruto.

Before reaching his prey he activated his blood limit, quickly destroying the traps that surrounded the vicinity of the blonde. With his task finished he crept closer to the ninja “Naruto,” he murmured.

Kneeling before the other ninja, Sasuke brushed the hair away from Naruto’s forehead, which seemed to have become shaggier since the last time that they met.

‘You are truly my best friend dobe. I could not kill you then and I certainly can’t kill you now. You were the only one who made me feel. The only one I would come back to when this is over.’ Sasuke onyx eyes sparked with something before it disappeared.

‘I don’t have the right to be with you now, that is until I avenge my clan, but maybe-,” he stopped his musings when he saw his dobe shift a bit in his sleep. ‘His Teme huh, I kind of like the sound of that.’ A tiny smile appeared on his face as he lent his face toward the other. “I think I like that a lot, my dobe,” he said possessively.

He bent down and closed the distance sealing Naruto’s lips with his own. He breathed in deeply of the scent that was only his dobe, wild and untamable like the forest surrounding them, Drunk on Naruto's scent he began to feverishly kiss everywhere his lips could reach. Eyes, neck, nose until an answering moan signaling that the blonde was about to wake up.


Sasuke stopped his ministrations momentarily to look at the bleary azure eyes that looked back at him. Silence was in the air as onyx eyes studied azure ones.

“Sasuke,” Naruto said desperately as if he was dying of thirst.

“Hnn,” was Sasuke’s only reply but it was enough. Naruto leaned up and quickly kissed the slightly chapped lips hovering above him. He began to groan when his kiss was returned; the kiss was quickly becoming more passionate.

Sasuke taking the initiative began to pull the other’s black shirt over his head. Bending his black head over a dusky nipple he caught it between his teeth making the blonde gasp in surprise.
