It Always Begins With A Search
Hey guys!! This is my first fanfic on this site and I hope I do a good job. I will try not to make the characters too OOC but there probabaly will be a few points in time where this will happen. THis is also very short but the next chapters will be longer.Please review!! Reveiws help me understand what you as readers want. Enjoy!!

(Naruto’s POV)
There was nothing that was going to stop me this time. I, Uzumaki Naruto, was finally going to bring home one Uchiha Sasuke. Jiraiya had taught me everything he could and I even went to Tsunade baa-chan for strength training. I had left three days prior, leaving me plenty of time to find the brunette. Sakura had insisted she come as well, but I shut her out. She was only going to hinder me in finding him. Not that I doubt her abilities as a ninja, yet I can’t protect her and save Sasuke at the same time. I wouldn’t want to continue living if that snake bastard got Sakura too. No, I wasn’t going to let that happen.
Right now I was outside Orochimaru’s secret compound. Keeping my chakra cloaked, I let some of Kyuubi’s senses surface. My eyes changed to the blood red color that was the telling sign of Kyuubi’s blood lust. I suppressed that urge and panned out the area. I could see hidden traps everywhere, especially around the entrance. I smirked, knowing I could surpass them easily with Kyuubi’s help. I lowered myself from the tree I was residing in and landed with a thump in the dirt below. I straightened my back and let Kyuubi’s other senses take hold. I could hear nothing, which was odd. There should have at least be some birds or other wildlife making some kind of noise, but the more I strained my ears, the more silent the woods seemed to become. My sense of smell was a whole different story. All around me was the smell of blood and snakes. I quickly dismissed these smells, only worrying about one in particular, Sasuke’s scent.
I quickly ran to the entrance, avoiding all traps with ease. I slipped past the door using a wall shadow jutsu, hoping my presence hasn’t been noticed yet. I run down the long, dark, stony hallway, searching every door with my chakra, hoping Sasuke was behind one of these doors. Ten minutes pass and I start to panic. What if Orochimaru found out I was here and moved Sasuke? What if he already performed the body transfer jutsu? What if Sasuke was dead? That last thought stopped me dead in my tracks. There was no way Sasuke would die that easily. He was always a fighter and would never allow a snake to harm him. But what if Sasuke had changed to the point where he was no longer the person I knew? I slammed my fist into the stone wall, making the skin over my fist crack and bleed. It healed quickly , with Kyuubi’s help.
“Calm down kit. The Uchiha brat could never change that much, he’s too stuborn.” Kyuubi growled. He was trying to comfort me in some odd way, even though it came out more as annoyance that reassurance.
“I know Kyubbi but...It’s just taken me so long to find him. What if....”
“Enough!!!” Kyuubi roared. Great, just what I need, a pissed off demon. “If you’re going to waste your time with questions, you might as well give up. You have been so lost in thought that your chakra is beginning to slip through.” He was right. I quickly regained control to hide my chakra. I breathed in deeply, trying to settle my mind.
“Sorry Kyuubi.” I thought and was off again, searching for the elusive Uchiha.
