Silver Screen

---

Sasuke bit his lip as he looked over the village. There wasn't much he knew beyond these walls. there wasn't much he cared for in them. He glared scornfully at the only non active part of the town. his family's compound. There wasn’t much else h could do or say about it. just watch.

He looked at the photo of his team. To his left at the blonde by is side.

This idiot was always in the way always pushing some sort of ridiculous challenge at him. The challenge to remain human, the challenge to give up on revenge, the challenge to be what he always wanted, strong.

The retard was a challenge in himself. God it seemed the blonde liked getting him into trouble. So many lectures he'd received from Kakashi sensei always was dobe's fault.

Well not really but he's never admit that it was his fixation on Naruto that got him into trouble. During many night of trying to convince him self otherwise, Sasuke knew that it was not Naruto's power, improvement, sunny disposition, skill or ability as both a ninja and as a friend, which made him fixate on the boy.

No, of course not.

The only thing he got so riled up about was that the stupid blonde was...

Sasuke couldn't think of anything else so he moved on to the next member of his team. Sakura.

As much as she annoyed him with her constant need to be saved and shouting her love out to him. He was some what fond of her. She was lively and often cared about him doing small things just out of thoughtfulness rather than those elaborate shows of affection she believed would catch his eye.

With a sigh he placed the photo in his pocket and looked down at the city. He hadn't been here in almost ten years. Would it be different? Would every thing have changed. Did what was left of his team survive?

He was sure it did.

Naruto had been their morals and strength. Sakura had been their mind and heart. He, Sasuke, he had never known his purpose, in the team or in life. Soon he would hunt down Itachi and need to find a new purpose or a nice grave.

Until then he figured he'd need to make his peace with the ones he'd left behind.
