NOW ON WITH THE CHAPTER

Chapter one- New Student

Gaara was just about fed up with a certain blond friend of his. “Come on Gaara! You need to get passed your old relationship! All they did was hurt you right?” Naruto asked as he slapped Gaara’s back. Gaara growled. “Would you stop meddling?” he asked in a low voice. Ever since they met in middle school, Naruto had been trying to set him up with a ‘nice’ guy for once in his life. “Buuut Gaaraaa!” Naruto whined. “No buts, I will be fine on my own, I love myself that is enough..” Gaara said as he went inside the classroom.

Naruto had left him alone once he spotted his boyfriend, Sasuke, and had ran over to glomp him. Gaara had decided to start drawling when the teacher, Iruka, called for attention.

“Alright class! We have a new student today, his name is Shino Aburame, please treat him kindly as I am sure all of you remember your first days.” Iruka said loudly. To Shino he said softly. “Give some information about yourself.”

Dressed in the most interesting outfit Gaara had ever seen, the boy Shino began to explain things about himself, not that Gaara was really listening. Dark glasses, spikey hair, and a jacket that the red-head wanted to undo.

Shino slipped his hand into his pockets and began to tell a little about himself, “There is nothing to say, I like bugs, that is really about it…nothing else needs to be known until I decide that I actually want to be a friend of someone in here. To the girls, just leave me alone, I don’t like your type.. Boys, feel free to try and talk to me..” Shino said and fell silent.

Sakura, a girl with a loud voice and too many opinions, spoke up. “So, that means you are gay right?” she asked. At a nod from Shino, Sakura groaned. “All the cute guys are either gay or taken..” she said, stealing a glance at Sasuke. She had been crushed when she found out that her crush since elementary school was, or rather is, gay. Her best friend Ino was worse off, she had gone on a rampage at Naruto for ‘stealing’ Sasuke. Let’s just say Sasuke gave Ino a piece of his mind.

Naruto had a grin that was almost as bad as the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. “Psst! Gaara! You should go after him before another guy scoops him up.” the blond whispered to his friend. Gaara sighed. “I was already thinking about that.” he said in an almost growl.

Iruka blinked at his students but let it go. “Shino, please take the seat next to Gaara, he is the red-head in the back dressed in black, he can help you with anything you need.” he said to the boy.

Without even nodding at Iruka, Shino made his way back to the seat he was directed to. Gaara’s breath caught in his throat. “Oh. Hi, my name is Gaara.” Gaara said after swallowing hard. “Shino.” the brunette said simply as he sat down. Oh Yeah, Gaara liked him a lot.

Class went on normally, well as normally as Iruka’s class ever does. “Well that ends the lesson for today, you guys have 10 minutes of free time.” he said. Almost at that moment, a silver-haired man came into the room with what looked like a lunch bag. “Kakashi! What are you doing here?” Iruka asked softly, in a semi-annoyed manner.

Kakashi grinned. “Come now Iruka-koi, didn’t you say you wanted to eat lunch with me today?” he teased. Iruka blushed. “My students don’t need to know what I have planned on doing!” Iruka yelled softly. Kakashi just leaned forward and kissed the other man. “Kakashi!” Iruka yelled. “The one time you decide to be early!” he said.

Naruto was chuckling at the antics of his two favorite teachers. “They always seem to fight around lunch time…” he said softly to Sasuke. The dark-haired youth simply smirked. “I like this, it is entertaining.”

Gaara was shaking his head at his teacher and the one he called ‘Always Tardy.’ Kakashi.

Shino looked on and looked at Gaara. “Do they always fight like this in class?” he asked softly. Gaara blinked at the question. “Yeah, they do..not all the time but most of the time.” the red-head explained. “You said you like bugs right?” he asked the brunette. When Shino nodded, Gaara smiled. “I know a place that you would love in this school.” he said.

Shino looked at him. “Really? And where is the” he asked. “This school has a HUGE bug collection in one of the wings. It is a brilliant collection.” Gaara said with a smiled, one of his first in a long time. “I think I would like it if you showed me that wing…” Shino said softly.

At that, The bell rang, and Gaara couldn’t have been more than happy at that moment. He felt like he was in heaven.

He just hoped that heaven wouldn’t be yanked away from him…this time…

Sorry guys I had to give you a teaser so you’d want to read more. ^-^ I know…I know…All the guys in the story are gay..but come on! Would you have it any other way? I didn’t think so…! One little author’s Note- This school has a dormitory and Shino and Gaara will be room mates. ^.~ gee…wonder what will happen in that room..
