Between Love and Hate

Prologue


“Come on everybody!!! Sing with me!!!!!”

a blond yelled to the big audience. This was their normal routine in every concert. They needed to satisfied the crowd and make sure they all liked it. It was something very typical in the music industry and every new musician knows that.

They are Crimson. The band that was discovered in a High School party for the seniors. They had been lucky when the son of a very well know manager and business owner had spotted them and heard them sing. Many believed it had been pured luck and that they didn't deserved this but after months of being in every hot TV show in Japan even those who had not believe in them had started to like their music.

Crimson was made of a four man band. Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Shikamaru Nara and Hyuuga Neji. All four had a different look and personality, they also had different view on music. It's still a mystery to many how they had become friends much less how they had become a band when all four were so different.

Naruto Uzumaki – He was the energy of the group. Always had a smile on his face and his style was somewhat messy but it just spoke him. His tan skin made his azure eyes stand out, making him one of the favorites among the fans. He was somewhat feminine with curvy hips and blond long hair. He's the vocalist for Crimson, although the other members sing their own songs from time to time, Naruto sings the most.

Sasuke Uchiha – his looks are dark making his personality just as dark if not darker. If Naruto is the sun then Sasuke is the moon. He's mysterious, something many girls find sexy, and quiet. He could be describe as the opposite of Naruto. He's muscular but not too muscular. He works out at least four times a week and he doesn't spend much time with the other band members, he's only seen with them during concert, singing sections ect. He plays the drums.

Shikamaru Nara – he's lazy, but most girls find him extremely attractive, especially when his hair is down. His looks aren't dark, but they aren't bright either, he could be describe as something in between those two. He's very friendly but he doesn't trust people so easily. He's very smart and is the main head behind all of Crimson's negotiations and contracts. He's Crimson's guitarist.

Neji Hyuuga – Mysterious, quiet, sexy, elegant and somewhat girlish he's the fans favorite. He finds it strange that the rest of the guys don't get jealous that the people like him more than them but all they ever say is “ so what, you get more popularity. It only means more rabid fangirls/fanboys. I bet you're jumping for joy at the moment.” It always got him in a bad mood whenever they reminded him of the crazy people that would kill him if they were left alone with him. He has a crush on one of the members and he's Crimson's keyboardist.

“Thank you all so much!!! We hope to see you very soon once our tour begins!!! Love you all!!!”

and just like that, the show was over. On stage everything was a big pretense. When cameras were rolling, that was a big pretense too. They should've all been actors instead of singers because when they're all alone with no one to see them, the only thing that connects them is the hate and love some of them shared. Their music is the only thing that keeps them and Crimson together.

“Is that all for today Kakashi???”

Neji asked once he had finish changing into normal blue jeans and white t-shirt.

“Yea, that's all for today. Are you all spending the rest of the night together before we have to head out back to the apartment???”

all he received were death glares from four pairs of eyes. Shaking his head he made his way to the car and hoped that those damn idiots all had their phones with them so that he can go pick them up. Seriously, the tension between those four was so thick that not even a knife could be able to cut through it.

“God help me. Now I know why the other drivers all quit their jobs. Those brats are impossible.”

he said, looking up at the sky with a sad smile on his face. He was no magician or physic, but he knew that those four were going to go through some tough shit before they would finally admit to each other how they feel. He knows from personal experience that there is a very thin line between love and hate all those brats seen to be doing is erasing that line.

Azure eyes watch the dark figure walk away from his sight once more. It's always been like this, he's always been Sasuke's shadow. The only way he knows how to express his feelings is with hateful word and glares, something the dark haired teen seem to return full force.

Tears formed in his eyes as he turn to walk the other direction. That's all they always do. Is not just him and Sasuke. Neji and Shika also take different paths after a show or concert. He knew deep down in his heart that they weren't going to last long. Very soon, one of them was going to walk down a different path and never come back.

We're all so different. I still can't believe we all became friends but I still wonder how that happen.

He thought as he turn a corner and got into the car that was waiting for him. They always did this too. Call someone to come pick them up and take them wherever they needed to go until the early hours of the morning.

“Where would you like to go today Mr. Uzumaki???”

he sigh and closed his eyes, Sasuke's smiling face from years back appearing behind closed lids and a smile appearing on his face.

“Take me somewhere I can get drunk fast. I don't want a crowded place though.”

the driver nodded and started the engine, not soon after they were already on the way to the drive way.

“Well, I guess I'll see you tomorr-

“Whatever, just get going and don't bother me.”

white eyes filled themselves with sadness. He had tried everything to get closed to the guitarist, but everything he did it was simply ignored. He nodded, knowing full well the other hadn't seen him and just turn to leave. Shikamaru never look at him. Not once have those dark eyes met his and it hurt.

He tighten his arms around himself and kept walking. It was cold and winter will soon be here, freezing everything in its path. He hoped that winter could also freeze his heart, at least that way, he wouldn't hurt so much.

I love you. Can't you see that Shikamaru? Can't you see me?!?!

Rath – I know that, God also gave me the privilege to use that voice as I see fit. And if I don't feel like talking then I won't talk. I hate people who talk my ear off. Its annoying you know

Chibi – that true, but you could at least say something to our wonderful readers.

Rath – me being here is enough. If I didn't love my readers then I wouldn't be writing this story since I am the author of it. You two are just helper and betas. Not even good ones to begin with.
