Sasuke traveled swiftly along side Orochimaru, silently following an unseen trail.
they had been traveling this path for days as usual Orochimaru seemed to be deep in thought whilst sasuke brooded on his victory over a tired Naruto Uzumaki,
how had he been so strong?, suddenly Sasuke's Sensei stopped.
"where are we?" Sasuke asked hesitantly
"You are here to search these ruins for anything... how shall i say unusual" orochimaru answered
"then you will report to me, you just have to follow your mark to find me " the legendary sannin answered
"what kind of unusual? and what is this place?"
"ah that would be telling."orochimaru said vaguely
"Tell me, i'm not here to play games, tell me" Sasuke said annoyed
"fine fine, these ruins were once, according to legend,home to the most powerful clan in the 5 Shinobi Nations" replied the shady master
"so i have to look for signs of a powerful clan that nobody knows about?"
"Precisely" came the reply before Orochimaru disappeared in a cloud of Chakra Induced smoke.

hours after their little discussion sasuke had found no evidence of any kind that proved any kind of clan lived within these seemingly insignificant ruins
even with the sharingan he made little progress until he hit the centre of the ruins where he saw beneath the various layers of foliage was a symbol.
a red fox with 9 red lines extending from it. curious sasuke hit the symbol, causing a sound to resonate indicating a tunnel of some form beneath it.
preforming the nessecary signs sasuke said " Katon:gokakyu no jutsu" directing his fireball at the symbol aiming to burn it away but the intense flames merely burned away the plant life obscuring the emblem
enraged orochimarus apprentice gathered lightnig based chakra in his hand until black lightning could visibly be seen in the palm of his hand as he hit the symbol with it shouting "Chidori!"
as the chakra dissipated and the smoke cleared a small crater had appeared around the symbol with a small hole where sasuke's jutsu had hit,although it had jagged edges it seemed safe enough for sasuke to lower himself
into the darkness, briefly remembering his words " i am not afraid of the dark", before being consumed by it as he fell. minutes later sasuke landed in a partially submerged labyrinth lihgt reflecting on the water, dimly
lighting the corridor.

the sound resonated in the corridors however seemed to be coming from one general direction, curious sasuke followed the sound through the never ending labyrinth. first he turned right, then left then right then right again then left, or was that right
this continued for what seemed to him like hours until he emerged in a massive room half of it cut off by huge pillars of metal each inscribed with powerful seals preventing anything from entering or leaving that portion of the room.
to the right sasuke saw the strange emblem again just above a table where a small candle burned dancing to an silent melody. in it's flickering light sasuke saw an ancient scroll yellowed with age curious itachi's brother approached the document

The History of the Uzumaki Clan

Sasuke recoiled in surprise however curiousity outweighed caution and the boy sat down and read the contents of the tome:

This is the history i have of the Uzumaki Clan
i have made it my buisness to know all there is to know about the Uzumaki clan
They are the natural enemies of the Uchihas
They have been feared through out history because of their great power
each generation of the Uzumaki clan is born through the union of a demon and human
every uzumaki has been labelled as a Jinchuriki in addition to their powerful kekkai genkai
at the clan's beginning a deal was struck with Kyuubi the Nine-tailed fox
it would provide 1 Uzumaki from each generation to have a portion of it's power
However in the middle years of the clan the elders sought power and using a kind of sealing jutsu
to seal the spirits of 10 generations of Uzumakis who possesed a portion of Kyuubi's Chakra
they summoned the demon and imprisoned it
with this deed the elders thought they could gain more power then they had wit to think of
however something had gone wrong within 1 century of her imprisonment kyuubi's Chakra
Grew until it convinced a young boy to let her free and release the seal.
i was that boy
my reasoning was simple if Kyuubi was free it would seek to destroy the clan that had imprisioned it.
however something had gone askew 1 Uzumaki had escaped from the havoc
before kyuubi vanished to return to it's own demonic realm
enraged i journeyed around the world using forbidden jutsu toincrease my power until i had chakra rivalling Kyuubi's
however this came at a cost, i was dieing.

Sasuke see's several pages have been renderred illegible by the dripping water unnerved sasuke turned to more recent entries

by the time i reached Konoha i was half dead,
their i poured my chakra into summoning Kyuubi
Briefly i saw it appear before spiriting my self away from it's destruction...
i hear the damage to konoha is extensive and if Kyuubi Kills that wretched brat my sacrifice will not be invain...
i have not got much time left even after sealing my chakra away
i have found out that ridiculous hokage has given his life to seal the fox in some wretched baby
i believe the boy is an Uzumaki to be able to survive the sealing
i have decided that the boy will grow to powerful and must be destroyed.
in recent times i have planned for an Uchiha to Decimate his clan
but leaving one alive to befriend the boy
this should encourage him to destroy the Jinchuriki to
obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan.
i feel death creeping in to my bones, i shall die soon
i shall die with the satisfaction that i ended the most powerful clan in history
whilst preserving mine.

Madara Uchiha


Sasuke stared at the last 2 words in the tome Madara Uchiha...
he had destroyed the uchiha clan over some distant grudge against the Uzumaki clan and in doing so had planned the destruction
of his own clan to spur Sasuke on to kill Naruto...
why sasuke thought destroying your own clan just to destroy theirs

Sasuke had a chance to seek revenge but it was planned by a man who was history.in Anguish Sasuke activated the 2nd level of the cursed mark in his rage using all of his chakra making a lightning vortex, demolishing the remains of the complex, then he fell powerless with one thought on his mind i will destroy Naruto Uzumaki for being the source of the death of the Uchiha clan!

As the Compound's remains fell, Miles away one Naruto Uzumaki woke to the sight of konoha on the horizon.
