BIG A/N hey guys, im back :D hoorays just wanted to let you all know about some things, firstly is that this fanfiction is still alive due to the combined encouragement of zero12789, Sneakyfox, Darkened.Naruto, Tori_Chan, Dreamfool, Orran Ainmire and avatoa
secondly thanks to Darkened.Naruto and Orran Ainmire, i have revised chapter 2 and replaced sasuke with sai (it changed the whole training field argument)
and last of all, to those asking about when this takes place and what not: it takes place while sasuke is with orochimaru, just before his Coup d'état and formation of Hebi (this was why i had to replace sasuke with sai in ch2)

It was a sunny day in Konoha, a peaceful day that had many shinobi in the training grounds sparing and practicing. Naruto was on his way to the missions office to see if he could pick up a good mission and get some action.
Lately every time he went in the missions were slim and all there was were some in town D Rank missions. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t accept them, it was just that he was tired of them. In the past 3 months he had been out of Konoha a total of 3 times and every time he had to fight to get the mission. So when he walked into the office and saw that they had a hefty stack of missions Naruto got exited.
“Hey Genma! Lots of missions today ehh?” Naruto said as he bounded into the missions office.
Genma turned to Naruto and grinned “Yeah, a lot of missions recently came in from outlying villages”
Naruto bounced happily ‘outlying villages’ he thought happily ‘that means ill be able to get out of this boring town!’ the thought elatedly
Genma suddenly grew very subdued “Although most of them were special requests and are being held till certain ninja return from missions”
Genma glanced meaningfully from the large stack that Naruto was getting exited over and another, considerably smaller stack that Naruto hadn’t noticed.
Naruto wasn’t a genius like some of his friends but he definitely wasn’t dumb. “So what your getting at is even though there are plenty of capable ninja in town some cont take these new missions….”
“I didn’t say that Naruto, I said that they were special requests. They specif..”
“That’s bullshit and you know it Genma! I saw many other ninja that were still Genin when I left with Jiraya come out of here with missions today!” Naruto interrupted furiously. He was quickly getting frustrated with the current situation he wasn’t blind he had been noticing what was going on the past months
“Naruto, I”
Again Naruto interrupted the older ninja “I’m sorry Genma, I shouldn’t be yelling at you it’s not your fault”
“Thank you Naruto…” Genma cut off as Naruto reached across the desk and picked up the larger stack of mission papers “w-wait Naruto what are you doing!?”
Naruto looked at Genma the glare on his face not meant for the friendly ninja “I’m going to go have a talk with our superior” Naruto said, his voice subdued with an angry calm. He turned and started up the stars to the Hokage’s office
Just then Hayate had come out of the bathroom to rejoin his friend at the missions office. Genma turned to him “Man that boy is scary when he’s Angry and not yelling”
*cough* “Indeed”

Shizune was sitting at her desk as Naruto stormed up the stairs to the Hokage’s office “What seems to be the problem Naruto?”
Naruto was furious he stormed past Shizune completely ignoring her and kicked open the office doors with a resounding crash.
Tsunade angrily looked up from her paperwork and into the eyes of Konoha’s number one unpredictable ninja. “What is the meaning of this Naruto!” she all but screamed at him
Naruto, already angry with Tsunade, slammed the stack of missions down upon her desk. “What the hell Tsunade!”
Tsunade was taken aback by the lack of her usual nickname ‘what happened’ she thought as she looked at the papers. “These are missions Naruto, what are you talking about!”
Naruto steped back from the dask and crossed his arms angrily “These are not just missions Tsunade” Naruto struggled to keep his voice under control “these are missions that for some inane reason, are not allowed to be assigned to me”
Tsunade paused ‘well I couldn’t expect to keep him in the dark forever’ Tsunade cleared her throat “Naruto…you must be aware of the Akatsuki, they have been increasing their activity in the past few months. They have sent scouts into fire country in the past few months”
“Of course I know about that Tsunade! Im not a dunce, I listen to the reports.”
“Then you know the danger of sending you out of the village!”
“I’m not a weakling Tsunade, besides I have a team to support me!”
“That is beside the point Naruto, it took two four man cells to defeat just two members of Akatsuki and they always travel in pairs!”
“So you cripple you task force by keeping a whole cell inside the village just because you don’t want one person to get hurt”
“No they…” she paused “We cannot allow them to obtain the Kyuubi Naruto”
Realization dawned in Naruto’s eyes as he caught her slip up. His eyes flared a dangerous red as he glared at her “YOU..” venom dripped from his voice as he spoke to her “you are still giving them missions”
“They are not being given missions of their usual caliber”
Just then two Anbu members dropped into the office “Lady Hokage, we sensed a disturbance. Do you require our assistance?” they said from behind their masks.
Naruto answered before Tsunade could reply “No, you are no longer needed” he looked back to Tsunade “I’m done here. Goodbye Hokage-Sama”
Tsunade was left stunned as Naruto, filled with a deadly calm, turned and stalked from the Hokage’s office.
“Watch him”
