Hello again everyone X3 I know that I really am bad for updating chapters on most of my stories, but I must tell you the truth I have a new job that is making it difficult to update my chapters but on this story I have managed to write at least 5 chapters thus far.
So as always pls read and review, and I hope you like my little twist on this Naru/Sasu story.
On with the fic...
Chapter 1
When a person thinks about the night, or should I say darkness, the first thought that comes to one’s mind is, evil. You can sit there and tell yourselves that you truly love the dark, that there is nothing in the dark that could hurt you, or that you can’t handle. The truth is however, that we are in fact afraid of what awaits us out there in the dark streets of our neighborhoods. We fight the darkness that comes once the sun has set with everything we have, by turning on the lights, and yet still tell ourselves that we are not afraid.
Why do we have this fear? What is it about the dark that scares us, even if we won’t admit to it? Is it a fear of the dark, or really is it a fear of the unknown? Is it a healthy understanding that we may never know the truth that causes this fear?
I was the type of person who believed that there was nothing in the dark that could harm me, nothing out there that I couldn’t handle. At least, that is, until the night I discovered that there was more out there in the dark, then anyone could’ve ever imagined. This is my story, a story of love, hate, honor, and deceit. It all began on an unusually cold September night...
***********
It was around midnight when the heavens decided to open and begin to drench the world beneath them. Walking down the street was a young man, who had been trying to get home before the rains had started.
“Damn! I was really hoping to get home before it started to pour.” Grumbled the young man as he tried to cover his unruly blond hair with his jacket.
He quickly gave up his efforts at keeping his hair dry, as the rain had already managed to soak him straight through. He continued to walk quickly, which was more for warmth, then to stay dry. He was however thankful that it wasn’t snowing that night, because thanks to his now ex-girlfriend, he was stuck walking home.
Walking down the street, towards his apartment, he had the distinct feeling of being followed. This was ok with him, considering the absolutely horrible day that he had been having thus far, he was itching for a chance to blow off some steam in a fight. He slowed his pace, in the hopes that his attacker would think him as easy prey. Obviously, his follower wasn’t the most intelligent, because it quickly decided that now was a good time to attack his prey, believing that the slower pace meant that he was getting cold and tired.
When he heard his followers footsteps get closer, he turned ready to face his adversary, however, what he saw made him start to questions what he thought was real, and what isn’t. What he saw coming towards him, was slightly taller than most men, with a snarling, furry face. It almost looked like a giant dog, but it was dressed in torn blue jeans, and standing on 2 legs.
“What the FUCK!?” was all he managed to say before the creature managed to tackle him to the ground. As he wrestled with the giant dog creature, which really the only way he could describe the ting, he realized that if he didn’t do something soon, he was going to be dog food.
“Get off of him you mangy mutt!” was all that was heard before he saw a silver arrow appear in the beast neck, followed by a blood curdling howl. The creature then fell on top of the blond, effectively pinning him to the ground. Thankfully for him, the stranger had stuck around to help him out from under the body of whatever it was on top of him.
“He didn’t manage to bite you, did he?” asked the stranger after pushing the creature off the blond, and inspecting him for any wounds.
“Not that I can tell. What the hell was that thin?” Asked the blond, feeling a little awkward with the stranger touching him, he then stood with help from said stranger, still feeling a little embarrassed.
“It was a werewolf.” Replied the stranger casually, as if seeing something like that everyday was normal. He turned towards the body of the creature lying on the sidewalk and began making strange hand signals, never taking his eyes from the body.
“A WHAT?!” the blond screamed as he turned quickly to stare at the strangers back.
As he watched he what looked like a stream of fire coming from the stranger’s mouth, passing between his thumb and forefinger, and engulfing the body on the ground.
“A werewolf.” The stranger repeated, sounding slightly annoyed with having to repeat his explanation. However when he turned to look at the blond he had just rescued, he realized that the blond had turned considerably pale, and was unsteady on his feet. “Hey you going to be...shit!” All of a sudden the blonds eyes rolled up in his head, and he started to collapse. It was a good thing the stranger moved quickly, because he was the only reason the blond didn’t crack his head open on the sidewalk.
“This is going to be a long night.” Sighed the stranger as he looked down at the blond in his arms.
