Chapter 01

A woman lithe and beautiful, bright blonde hair spilled out over her shoulders like a waterfall of gold, deep blue eyes set into lightly sun-kissed skin. Lips full and slightly pouty, her neck arched to the side just a bit, long slender legs. The young girl was sporting a pair of ‘short’ jean shorts, and a small black tank top that showed off her flat stomach and midriff. She didn’t have much chest but her pretty face more than made up for that.

The woman flipped to the next page, this young girl had just become a star model a couple months ago, idly the woman’s hand drifted to her own midriff beneath her shirt fingering the deep gash and crumpled healed over skin. Because of this horrible scar she could never become a model.

“Hey, mom, it’s here!” she heard her younger son’s voice call from downstairs. She sighed a little as she closed the fashion magazine and headed downstairs. Her son had just been accepted to Nohako Academy and though he masked it well she could tell he was looking forward to leaving junior high and starting at a high school where he may not be as popular as he had been. Yes. Like her own flawless beauty-except for that scar, grr…-her offspring were almost flawless in their own aesthetic appeal. Her younger son was especially popular and he hadn’t enjoyed the attention as much as his mother had thought he would.

“It’s the school uniform right?” she asked as she sat down at the table with him as he started to open the box. He only nodded in response as he lifted the lid-

-and stared…-

-and stared.

“Something wrong, Sasuke, honey?” Midori Uchiha asked her son quietly waiting for his reaction. He placed the lid on the counter one hand gripping the fabric in the box.

“Is this your idea of some kind of sick joke…?” he asked in acid tones as he lifted the sailor uniform out of the box ebony eyes glaring murder into the woman he knew and trusted.

A girl’s school uniform, with a skirt, a sailor fuku, it was unmistakable. Midori laughed a little uneasily, Sasuke may have been able to believe it was a mistake but something in the way his mother was smiling made him think she had intended for this to happen. “Explain…” he growled tossing it back into the box.

“Well Sasuke, when I was a girl it had been my dream to become a famous model, but because of the accident I was given this hideous scar.” She said showing him the underside of her arm where the scar on her belly stretched to cover. “As such I could never achieve that dream…”

“So you’re living your dream through me…” Sasuke said coldly, feeling a headache coming on.

“Oh I wouldn’t put it that way exactly, but if that’s the way you choose to phrase it then yes,” She laughed a little. He felt an eyebrow twitch.

“I’ve already taken care of your papers, they’re forged of course, but so what! I even got you a job to help pay for your tuition, it’s at a modeling agency, so you’ll have to do some social ladder climbing. And if you brush your hair down from it’s normal rooster tail you’ll have enough hair at the side to be considered feminine, not that you’re not already pretty feminine,” Midori blabbered on. “I think you’re up to it, honey!”

There was no way he was going to wear that thing. None!

Sasuke Uchiha sometimes really hated his mother. Sometimes he just hated her, and sometimes he really hated her. Now he just really really hated her…

“Hey, cutie!” he heard a male voice call from somewhere behind him. He hated the stares, now he was getting catcalls. Didn’t his mom know just how much this was torturing him. He spotted a bathroom up ahead and took a dive inside. Heading straight for the toilet he allowed the nausea he’d been feeling since that morning well up and overflow out of his chest. Ever since he’d put this _costume_ on he’d been feeling sick enough to die. Faint, or worse…

Slowly he make himself stand again. It was weird being a girl’s bathroom. But no one else was in here from what he could tell. It wasn’t all that different from boys’ bathrooms, just no urinal units on the walls.

Walking over to the sink he took a napkin and wiped of his mouth, the taste of bile still raw in his mouth. Looking in the mirror he almost gagged again, but managed not to. Looking back at his reflection he would never have recognized himself a week ago. The hair he usually combed back into it’s rooster tail was brushed down to frame his face, short shaggy black hair that hung around a pale face slightly modified with the application of light make-up, eyeliner, lip gloss, and mascara. His eyebrows had been lightened a little with plucking. It still stung a little. His body still looked like it did before, but did he always look so girly? Wearing a white spaghetti strap tank top and black skirt he frowned a little at the slight bulge in his chest, the padded bra he had to wear to give some semblance of proof that he was a ‘girl’.

The redness from waxing had faded from his legs but it was worse now because of the cool air that constantly drafted around them. Like this he felt so vulnerable, and naked. It wasn’t right; he almost retched again. Didn’t his mother know what this was doing to him!

The flush of a toilet sounded and a door latch clicked open, apparently the bathroom hadn’t been as empty as Sasuke had first thought. A pink-haired girl exited the stall, aquamarine eyes locked with onyx. She gasped a little staring at him, and for a moment he tensed, did she know that he was a guy? Was he showing something? Or… what? What was wrong with him? Why was she staring?

“What?” Sasuke’s sharp voice broke the silence. It was so weird how his voice could match both the male Sasuke and this girl so acutely.

“Oh nothing,” she said averting her eyes with a small blush as she walked over to the second sink next to his and rinsed off her hands. It seemed to take an eternity for her to soap up her hands rinse again and take a paper towel to dry them off. All the while Sasuke studying his reflection. What had given him away? And why was he worried, didn’t he want to be a guy?

“Uh… you’re new here right?” the girl asked timidly. Sasuke looked over at her a little surprised.

“Yes.” ‘she’ answered shortly.

“I’m Sakura Haruno,” she told ‘her’ cheerfully. “I just started going here too. I took a tour yesterday though so I know where some stuff is… um… I don’t mean to be rude but you…” the girl paused.

He felt like running. This was just too weird, he wasn’t even a guy, well he was dressed as a girl, he was a guy, but she was blushing at him like crazy and he was supposed to be a girl.

“I don’t mean to be rude but… are you a model or something?” she asked suddenly. “You’re just so… just so… I dunno, you look like you would be one. Never mind. You don’t have to answer. Are you in class 1A? I am…I don’t know if you are but um… ah never mind.” She shook her head, realizing she was just blabbering. “We better get to class. Um… nice meeting you!” she said as she took off out the door.

Sasuke watched the door slowly slide shut again, that was the oddest thing that had happened so far. Taking a final glance at the mirror Sasuke turned and started out the door for his own classroom. Checking the paper, it read ‘Class: 1A’. Figures with his luck.

“Hey, check out the new chick, hot huh?”

“Not much of a rack, but what a face…”

“She looks kind of snobby.”

“She’s gonna steal our boyfriends.”

“Does she think she’s too good for everyone else? She’s not even looking at anyone.”

“Told you she was a snob!”

The whispers, and the talking he could ignore, but it got more difficult when they approached his desk. “Hey, what’s your name? I’m Kuichi Azazumi, and I’m in my second year.”

This guy stank of something intangible, but something putrid nonetheless. He recoiled a little in his seat offering the youth a death glare.

“Forget Kuichi, he’s a loser. I’m Isuke Jichiyama, I don’t know how good you are at math, but I’m pretty good so if you ever needed any help, I could do it with you anytime,” A second guy said shoving the second to the side.

“Those both are liars, Isuke, Kuichi, they’re both retards, unlike me,” said a third shoving the two out of Sasuke’s immediate line of view. “I’m Gokyu Kunomoto by the way. Maybe you’ve heard of me?”

“No.” Sasuke answered icily. Wishing that he could shrink back into the wooden chair he was seated in, he could deal with girls, but guys? This was ridiculous…

“So you’re originally from Kikuren? Small town girl come to big bad Tokyo?” one girl said standing on the side. “Yet you think you’re so important. Where do you get off weirdo?”

“What about you pigface?” Sasuke couldn’t resist the insult.

“What did you call me you poor excuse for a woman!” the girl ranted glaring at him, her two friends looking up to glare at Sasuke as well.

“Lay off her, Kyomi. Just because you can’t compete?” Kuichi said sneering at the round-faced girl who turned her glare to him instead.

“Shut your trap Aza-nezumi!” she snapped. The door slid back and everyone paused in case it was the teacher it wasn’t.

“Thanks so much, I wouldn’t have found it on my own.” It was the girl from earlier, Sasuke recognized the pink-haired girl but not the blonde guy who was with her.

“It was no problem Sakura,” the blonde told her shutting the door behind them as they both entered the room. Sakura spotted Sasuke right away.

“Oh it’s you! Hi again!” she said walking over.

“What do you want, big forehead?” Kyomi snapped at her, “we’re in the middle of a discussion here!”

“Oh sure, a discussion,” the blonde guy said walking over, “Regardless of what you’re doing please move, this is my seat here.”

“Since when!” Kyomi sneered.

“Since now,” he answered lifting her from where she had been sitting on the top of ‘his’ desk and sat her down on one two more desks away. She screeched the entire time, called him a pervert and struck him but the blonde barely noticed before heading back to his own seat and sitting down.

“So I was wondering if you wanted to go out this weekend,” Isuke started to say as if the incident with Kyomi had never happened. Sasuke glared at him coldly.

“Hey, why don’t you guys leave her alone, she’s new right? Let her adjust to the school first.” The blonde told them.

“Why should we?” Gokyu almost snarled at the blonde.

“Because if you don’t I’m going to get annoyed by your voices and you’ll end up worse than Kyomi-chan did,” the blonde said jerking with a thumb to where Kyomi was fuming with her friends, red in the face and still glaring over at both the blonde and Sasuke. “You know I mean it. Remember Kiyotaka?”

The three boys paled a bit, “We’ll talk to you later Miss, enjoy the class.” The boys offered as they slowly slunk away to their own seats eyeing the blonde with a death glare.

Sasuke waited for the inevitable. He’d seen it happen before, a guy would chase a bunch of other guys off a girl before asking her out himself it was only a matter of time before the blonde would start talking to him. He turned to glare a little at the blonde who was currently resting his head on the desk.

“I’m sorry did you want that attention?” the blonde asked suddenly, knowing that ‘she’ was glaring at him. He cracked one, blue eye open.

“No.” ‘she’ answered shortly.

“Then why are you glaring at me?” he asked facing her, not lifting his head, the other eye opening at well. The blonde struck Sasuke as odd, it was guy most certainly, but he had long hair and it was tied back at the nape of his neck. Weirdo, probably one of those druggies you read about and whatever. Sasuke set his jaw and looked straight in a glare at the front of the classroom.

“Hi again,” Sakura greeted Sasuke, “Uh we met, remember?” Sasuke nodded. Sakura sat down in front of Naruto, turning in her seat a little to face and talk to him, “Um, I never got your name.”

“I didn’t give it,” Sasuke answered curtly. Sure he had one as a girl, but he didn’t much like it or anything to do with his mother’s crazy plan.

“Oh…” Sakura looked away a little crestfallen. The teacher had just entered the room, class was beginning, and then everything would be okay. At least until after school, ‘she’ had a job to go to after all.

It was hours later, after school, and Sasuke was standing outside the model building agency. Where he was working was as an errand girl, which means getting props and other stuff for the models and his particular model he was going to be assigned to along with tow other girls was a recently famous model. One that his mother had grown particularly fascinated with, one Naru Kitsune.

Taking the elevator upstairs he found himself face to face with a youth with long dark black hair. “Are you the other errand girl?” he asked crisply.

“Yes sir.” He answered uncertain, “for miss Naru Kitsune?”

“You’re her, come on, quick, you were almost late,” he said snippishly spinning on heel and walking briskly back down the hall. Sasuke followed glaring at the youth’s back. What a jerk!

“Naru, the third girl’s here!” the youth said, as he entered one of the rooms marked as private for the model’s dressing, “are you dressed yet?”

“Almost Hyuuga! What crawled up your overly tight ass, huh?” came the harsh reply as a orange tank top with the word FOXY on the front across the chest was tossed on his head. “Hey, new girl can you run back to the room across the hall and get me my lip gloss, I need it!”

“We start in 15. That’s seconds Naru!” the youth, Hyuuga, told her coldly.

“I got that part Neji. Now get that stick out your butt, okay, relax!” the girl replied as Sasuke headed for the door to the room that the model had indicated. He found the lip gloss on the counter top and picked it up heading back quickly, Neji was on his way out.

“Tell her to get out here ASAP, we don’t have time for her bullshit!” he said angrily heading into the shoot room.

Sasuke hesitated inside the room a moment contemplating going on the other side to give the girl her lip gloss, but he really didn’t want to. So he opted for handing it over the modesty curtain. “Here’s your lip gloss, and he said to get out here as soon as possible.”

“Yeah, I know, thanks kid,” she said taking the gloss from him and in a matter of seconds a whirl of gold whisked by him and headed out the door. Sasuke followed not sure what else to do. Entering the door Neji had Sasuke found the set busy, but the model and Neji weren’t anywhere from what he could see.

“Hey, girl, take this and put it by the left side, will ya!” a passing stage man told Sasuke setting a large plant pot in his hands, the guy was carrying three more. Sasuke hefted it over to the left side of the set and put it down, fluffing the leaves a little so they didn’t look as dead as they were before.

“Naru, we’re on in, 5,” Neji’s voice called as he started over by the camera. Sasuke hopped down off the set and slid over to one of the walls out of the way.

“4…”

Everyone else cleared the set and quiet signals were made.

“3…”

A few final adjustments were made to some of the props before everyone cleared.

“2…”

That golden whurr emerged from somewhere in the crowd and ascended to the set.

“1…”

The camera lenses were removed.

“0…”

Blinding flashes of light filled the room, but all were centered on the set along with the lights, and for the first time amid the blinding flashes of light Sasuke could clearly see the foul-mouthed blonde model. Silky clean skin, lightly tanned, taught stomach, slightly muscled arms and legs that were so long and slender. Her long golden hair fell free about her shoulders; a pink tank top with faded jeans seemed to match the image her innocent and glowing face gave off.

Foul mouthed as she had been, and with as small a chest as she had her face was full of life and spirit, it more than made up for the lack of bust. It didn’t hurt that she had a wonderfully lithe body. She could have been an athlete probably if she’d wanted to. But none of this changed one simple fact that Sasuke realized the moment he saw her; she was gorgeous.

The lights came on again all too quickly so that Sasuke had to shield his eyes to let them adjust to the full blast of the overhead light. “Oh hi, it’s you again!”

Sasuke found himself looking at Sakura. “Hi!” she greeted, “this is my friend Ino, looks like we’re the three errand girls, how great!”

“Yeah, great.” Sasuke mimicked, a little more sarcastically than he’d intended, although maybe not.

“Um… we may have gotten off to a bad start this morning,” Sakura started, “Um. I didn’t mean to offend you, I know I was blabbering, but it was just you looked like a model so much. I think I told you that but anyway… I’m sorry if you were offended and since we’ll be working together, I’d like us to all be friends. Okay?” she asked extending her hand in her offer of friendship.

“Sure, whatever,” Sasuke told her looking away. But when she didn’t drop the hand he eventually loosely shook it. Sakura grinned.

“Hey, Ino, Sakura, new girl! Some help here?” came Naru’s call from her dressing room.

“Coming Miss Kitsune!” Ino called as she started over followed by Sakura and Sasuke. “What did you need?”

Naru looked even better up close… “Yeah, can you help me out with these outfits, which one? I dislike this one the most, so I might want to get it out of the way first, but I’ll need your help to put it on, come on!” she said gesturing for them to come in closer. Ino and Sakura went in immediately with a ‘yes ma’am’ reply, but Sasuke held back a little in hesitation.

“Hey, new girl, what’s your name?” Naru asked her imperiously breaking Sasuke from his train of thought, one he could no longer remember either. Darn that blonde girl.

“Why?” he snapped suddenly, biting back on his tongue for using that tone with his technical ‘boss’.

“You don’t have to tell me, but I guess you like being called ‘new girl’ and ‘moron’?” Naru asked with a smirk at him.

Sasuke felt his face flush, she was mocking him… “Sasu Sharingan.” ‘Sasu’ answered curtly.

“Sa~su~ Sharin~ngan~n~…” Naru purred out her eyes fluttering closed a moment as if tasting the name itself. ‘Sasu’ shifted a little uncomfortably, but unable to make ‘her’ eyes leave Naru’s face. Her eyes opened a little bit, “it’s hot…”

“Wha-what?” Sasu stammered at the sudden comment.

“It’s a little hot to change, can you turn the thermostat down just a bit?” Naru asked turning away to face Sakura and Ino who were helping her into the new costume.

“Yes ma’am,” Sasu said going over and turning the room thermometer down a little.

Turning around he saw that Naru had gone behind her curtain first, “Hey, Sa~su~,” she purred ‘her’ name again, “could you get me that lip gloss again, it’s on the counter behind you I think.”

Sasuke turned to check for it but it wasn’t there, “it’s not here.” He told her.

“Well look around I’m sure I set it there somewhere,” Naru said with an exasperated sigh. Sasuke grit his teeth, the girl may be gorgeous but gods did she need to have an attitude adjustment!

Sasuke searched around the desk and the top few drawers and on the floor but it wasn’t anywhere. “Oh forget about it, Sasu!” Naru said coming out from behind her curtain, “Sakura, Ino, can you look for it? Maybe you’ll have better luck. Sasu, I trust you can buckle buckles, right?”

Sasuke bit back a growl of annoyance as he came over. Naru lifted her hair and turned exposing her nape where a single leather buckle hung loose. He took the two ends with relative ease, except that her skin was so soft and warm, or were his hands really so cold. He could tell his hands were shaking. ‘She’, Sasu, clicked the buckle into place and let go as soon as she could.

Naru let her hair fall down her back again and picked up one of the boots sliding her bare leg into one, and then the other. “I’ll get one boot if you get the other,” she told Sasu as she turned to do her right boot and the buckles all along the side. Sasu knelt down to buckle the ones on the left boot. It was a really odd outfit; it was attractive on her, but weird. Who would wear something like it? A leather contraption with so many buckles it wasn’t even good for anything except having a pain to take off and put on. It showed off Naru’s midriff like many of the clothes did, and also accentuated every curve of her body for the form fitting tight leather.

“Found it!” Ino cried triumphantly taking it over to Naru and the blonde uncapped it putting it on as Neji’s fist pounded on the door.

“Naru, you have 10!” Neji boomed.

“Got it Hyuuga!” she called back as she put the top back on the gloss and stood up turning towards the mirror giving herself the once over before heading out the door.

Sasuke glared after her even as he and the other two girls followed her out the changing room door. They were giggling and whispering, and every now and then would glance at him, then at Naru and back.

“What?” he asked glowering at them a little.

“Nothing,” Sakura said still giggling a little.

“We think she’s taken a liking to you Sasu,” Ino explained with a chuckle at Sasu’s at once indignant expression.

“Yeah right.” Sasuke growled to himself under his breath as the lights fell, Neji’s countdown had begun. Naru may be pretty but she didn’t like him, she was downright cruel almost. She always said ‘her’, Sasu’s, name in sing-song, and she took every opportunity to be mean. Stupid blonde girl.

Ino was blonde too, with blue eyes, but they weren’t as alive as Naru’s, and Ino’s hair was paler, lighter, and somehow far less vibrant.

“Hey, Sasu… are you mad at me?” Naru asked him after the shoot, a small pout on her face.

“No.” Sasuke replied as he continued to pack the equipment into the boxes like Ino and Sakura were helping to do in cleaning up the set after the shoot.

“You sure?” she asked leaning over beside him. He tensed a little but forced himself to relax.

“Yes. I’m not mad at you.” He said controlling his voice to keep it calm.

“Okay, cause you really are hot!” she said suddenly throwing her arms around ‘Sasu’s neck, startling the dark-haired ‘girl’ before taking off down the hall. “See you tomorrow Sa~su~! Love you!”

Sasuke stared after her with a pale blush, what a freakish girl, did she somehow sense it was a male Sasuke under the female Sasu, and she was one of his old fangirls come back from junior high?!

No, she didn’t act like them… not really… she was just… annoying… but somehow it didn’t bother him as much as it should have. He could hear Sakura and Ino snicker. But Sakura was nice enough to him when they were leaving.

“See you tomorrow Sasu!” she waved as she started off down the street with Ino, both girls waved, and he waved half-heartedly back. His apartment wasn’t far and when he got there he gladly peeled off the tank top and the wrapping for Sasu’s ‘breasts’ from around his chest letting it fall to the floor. Just because he was pretending he was a girl, didn’t mean he had to be one even here, right? He was going to bed straight away anyway. He didn’t have time to slick his hair up in it’s rooster tail though, there’d have been no point to that if he did.

He sighed as he flopped down onto his bed. So, he, Sasuke Uchiha, is now a girl going to a co-ed school and as his mom wished. He is now also a helper at the set of some famous model working as an errand girl in the meantime, both as a job to help pay for tuition but also to help him slowly climb up the ladder to becoming a model himself. Stupid mom trying to live her dreams through him… now he’s living alone up here as a girl working for a model, the famous Naru Kitsune.

A hot but annoying blonde girl, obnoxious and stupid-but his boss, sorta. Even his inner voice was laced with deadly sarcasm, this was going to be a wonderful summer; it really was…
