Hidden Love

Gaara stood with his back against the lockers glaring down at the ground. "Hey Gaara what's wrong?" Naruto asked trying to stuff his books into his over packed locker. "Nothing..." The smaller male replied and pulled his hood lower to covers his eyes. "COME ON NARUTO HURRY UP!" Sakura yelled and Gaara frowned. "Looks like your group needs you.." He muttered and the blond glanced over at his friends sitting at their normal spot on the steps. "Why don't you join us for once?" Naruto asked and the redhead shook his head and started walking over to his spot by the old willow tree. "I don't fit in with your crowd.." Gaara replied and quickly stepped to the side when he almost ran into someone. "Watch it.." He growled. He hated high school.

Lee blinked easily stepping around the redhead, "Wari wari," He said with a happy smile before walking over to Sakura. Sitting down he scooted in beside her in his spot, "Gaara seems unfriendly as usual.." He commented then relaxed.

Gaara moved over to his spot and sat down leaning his back against the tree. Naruto walked over to him handing him his water bottle and started talking to him for a bit. "Why does Naruto talk to that freak? I was told they even do skits together in the drama class....did you get your list of classes yet?" Sakura asked looking at him and pouting a little.

"Ah oh yeah, Here you go Sakura-chan," Lee said and he opened his binder pulling out the paper handing it to her. "I do not think I have any classes with you though," He stated and couldn't help but look over and Naruto and Gaara. Why did Naruto talk to him? Gaara always was so mean to all of them. He noticed another male wearing a button up shirt and black pants strode up and sit next to Gaara, shooing Naruto away with his hand.

"Oh look freak number two.." Sakura muttered pointing to the Goth who was sitting next to Gaara. Naruto pouted and hugged his friend. "Hey he may be your boyfriend but he's my best friend so you shoo!" He whined and Gaara sweat dropped. Sakura rolled her eyes and looked at the paper. "You got drama? Looks like you're stuck with Gaara and Naruto a lot.." She commented and sighed.

"Sakura-chan you should be a little nicer.. I mean.. they are rude but maybe-" He was cut off as Kiba ran up grinning to them. "Hey guys," He stated and Lee fell quiet just dropping the subject. Over with Gaara though the man with green bangs was glaring at Naruto, "Your friends are asses, which means you are an ass soooooo... Laisse tranquille.." (Note: Leave it alone..)

Gaara sweat dropped and leaned back on Naruto a little. "Riku...Naruto is not like them he is not a ass." The redhead replied. Naruto stuck his tongue out at the older male and snuggled the redhead. "Why are you always being such a jerk Riku? I have known him loooonger." He said.

"But he is always touching you.." Riku complained and reached over gently tugging on Gaara. "You are always laying on him and not me.. I do not want him stealing you away so you go with those jerks.." The older male said.

"I'm not going to hang out with them...not after the way they have treated me..and I didn't get to see Naruto this weekend let me sit with him till he has to go back over there." Gaara replied and Naruto smirked and hugged his best friend close. "Riku you just hate me don't you?" He asked and snuggled the redhead more. Sakura frowned looking over at the blond then tugged on Lee's jacket. "Leee-kun go get Naruto.." She whined.

"Je vais te tuer..." (Note: I will kill you..) Riku growled out glaring at Naruto and he yanked Gaara away from him, holding the redhead in his arms. "And I do not care.. he has classes with you this year.. I do not.. I am going to spend time with you he can fucking wait.."

"Gaara what did he say?" Naruto asked looking confused then glared back at the older male. Gaara sweat dropped and sat up a little before folding his arms. "Riku don't tug me like that.." He muttered and pulled his note book out of his bag and started writing, ever since middle school he had wrote in notebooks about the things happening around him...kind of like a ongoing diary. The redhead planed that when he was older he would make all his writing into a book.

Riku glared back at Naruto, "Why the hell would he let you know what I said?" Riku asked then stood up. "Now kindly leave Gaara is writing which means leave him alone.." Riku yelled out. Lee blinked seeing the two getting in a spat and sighed, Naruto only ever left when they started calling him over. "Naruto-kun! Come over here I have something to show you!" He yelled out not wanting the two to fight.

Gaara lightly elbowed his boyfriend not enjoying him yelling in his ear and Naruto sighed. "Ok mr.grumpy pants. I'll see you in class Gaara." Naruto said and picked up his backpack then ran over to his group. "What do you want to show me Bushy-Brows?" He asked plopping down next to him a pout on his face.

"I just did not want you fighting with them Naruto-kun.." Lee stated then heard the warning bell ring and he stood up. "Um, I think my next class is with you, can you show me to it?" He asked holding his schedule out to Naruto before standing up.

"Yeah sure!..Hehe one seec! I need to grab Gaara from the asshole." Naruto said grabbing the front of Lee's jacket and dragging him over to the tree before Sakura could give him a hug. "Looks like your were a jerk for nothing class is gonna start and I need my skit partner." Naruto said smirking and Gaara started putting his notebook away.

Riku blinked and gently pulled Gaara to his feet grabbing his bag and books for him. "No I wasn't because I am ditching to watch your play," He said with a smile to Naruto, obviously one of the 'I hate you' smiles though. Lee blinked and sweat drop, "Ditching class is not g-" "So what shut the hell up I can do what I want." Riku cut Lee off and Lee looked down sighing getting a little angry. That was the second time someone had cut him off that day.

"Riku I don't want you to get in trouble again.." Gaara said and opened his backpack so Riku would put his things in it. Naruto playfully glomped Lee and gave him a tight hug. "This is gonna be great! You can be in skits with us!" Naruto said grinning and the redhead frowned a little and pulled his hat down lower making sure it covered his forehead.

Riku blinked then smiled and put Gaara's books in his bag. "You are being so sweet today..." Riku then leaned in and pecked Gaara on the forehead. "T'aime.." Lee smiled and hugged his best friend back. "It will be fun I guess. Yosh! Let us go," He said grinning widely.

They walked to class and greeted by the hyper theater teacher Anko. "Gaara! Naruto! My two favorite students!" She yelled and they walked in but the redhead growled when Lee's elbow bumped his. "Don't touch me prep.." He said and walked faster to go take his seat in one of the theater chairs the blond plopping down next to him. "Huh? What's wrong with Gaara?..Riku what are you doing here?" She asked raising a eye brow at him then shook hands with Lee. "Welcome to the glass! I'm Anko I'm your teacher." She said smiling.

"Hyper as always Anko," Riku smiled his sweet prince smile at Anko, "I was wondering if I could stay and watch such brilliant theatrical play done by students taught by a great teacher." He said causing Lee to look confused at him. Was that how Riku got out of things? Being a kiss up. "Nice to meet you Ms. Anko," Lee said and smiled walking over sitting next to Naruto.

Gaara glanced at Lee then sighed and looked down at the floor. "Ok class! We are all here!..Though we seem to always be missing Sasuke.." Anko said looking at her clip board. "He always ditches that's why." Naruto said and folded his arms behind his head. "Well since we have a odd number of students we have to have a group of three...hmmm Gaara, Naruto since you two are our best students Lee gets to join you two." She said and Gaara's head snapped up. "What?" He asked and twitched a little. 'Great someone from the jerk group..' He thought and shot a glare at Lee.

Riku yawned and slunk over to the seat in the back where he normally sat to watch Gaara and glared at Lee. He better not screw up the play, Riku loved plays. "Um alright," Lee said and set his stuff down standing up. "Which play are we doing?" He asked Naruto keeping his eyes away from Gaara's.

Anko smirked and held up the script. "Romeo and Juliet...and sorry Gaara your the chick again...none of the girls in this class can act." She said and one of the girls in the back yelled. "HEY! I can act!" The girl yelled and Anko waved her hand. "Haruka shut up your to hyper to play the roll of someone who is suffering and serous." Anko replied and Gaara sighed. "I swear your just into yaoi Anko." Naruto said and the teacher smirked and shrugged. "Naruto your Romeo since you two work so well together...Lee your new so you can be the servant that is close to Romeo...ok come get your script and I will tell you who you are and go practice."

Lee blinked, "I will get the scripts," He said happily and then moved over and got the papers from Anko before going back over to Gaara and Naruto and handing the scripts to them. "I am new at acting so could you help me out?" He asked.

"Oh sure! This will be great we can all go to my house later!" Naruto said happily and Gaara frowned. "Naruto I don't think he wants to be around me that long.." The redhead muttered and stood up and started reading over the script.

"Well with you being a jerk to me of course not," Lee stated and looked away reading over his own script. He could see Riku out of the corner of his eyes, glaring at him, watching his every move. That guy diffidently had something against him, and he hardly knew him! What was up with this person?

"Your the one who was a ass first.." The younger male replied and flinched as a hand touched his shoulder and spun around relaxing when he saw it was the blond. "Why so jumpy? Uh look at this page...looks like we have to er...yeah again." Naruto said holding up the paper. The blond didn't really mind if they had to do a kiss scene though, he smirked on the inside knowing how much it would piss off Riku.

"Ass? What have I done? I have done nothing to you for the longest time. You have just been very un younthfully mean." The other male then stopped on the page Naruto was pointed out and blinked. 'Naruto kiss Gaara? That seems... very odd..' Lee thought to himself. Riku sighed leaning back in the chair but he knew that look on Naruto's face, he had something new that would piss Riku off.

"It's what your group has done...your not that clueless of how they treat me." Gaara growled and looked at Naruto. "Well you better have breath mints this time since there are a lot of parts where we are close." He said and Naruto pouted. "Hey! I said I was sorry I swear I won't eat garlic before a skit again." Naruto said waving his arms around again.

"Hey just because I hang with a group of people does not mean I am like them.." Lee complained. Then he raised an eye brow at the odd couple, they were so alike in some ways, yet completely different.

Gaara rubbed his forehead then yelped when Naruto suddenly picked him up in a hug and spun them around. "Noooo your not allowed to go into sad mode!" Naruto yelled and the redhead blushed faintly and struggled. "Naruto! Stop doing that I hate being startled!" Gaara growled and the blond set him down and laughed. "If you keep doing that Riku is going to freak out on you." Gaara said elbowing him playfully before picking up his fallen script.

Riku growled and went to stand up but when he noticed Anko glare at him he sat back down. She did not mind him ditching class to come there, but she hated when he interfered with her play working. "Um.. maybe we should start on the script now.." Lee said going back to being quiet. That was not his normal self, he wanted to be loud and happy, but he had been dating Sakura for awhile now and she always over spoke him and shot him down if he was to speak his own ideas telling him he should just stay quiet.

"Alright...well Lee you should read off a line...if I am stuck with you I want to at least know what level you are at." Gaara said and slipped out of the blond's arms and pushed him back playfully. "Yeah read a line! Believe me it's so much fun! And this is the only class I can get redhead to smile in." Naruto said patting Gaara on the head and the redhead swatted his hand away.

"Um wait this says modern day Romeo and Juliet does this mean we get to add our own twists to this?" The black haired boy asked.

"Oh god not another one." Naruto said laughing a little. "This means the play will be funny! And since Gaara and I are leads we can change a few things." He added and grinned at Lee. "Heh...looks like this won't put people to sleep.. we did another play like this last year and it was fun." Gaara said and pulled a pen out of his pocket and handed it to Lee. "Underline your lines so you won't say one of ours by mistake.." He explained to the older male.

Lee blinked then shook his head and pulled out a highlighter not accepting it from the redhead. He wasn't trying to make the redhead think he just wanted help, he just thought highlighting them was easier. Once he was done he nodded. "So you want me to read one of these lines now?" He asked Gaara.

Gaara blinked then folded his arms getting a little confused why Lee was talking so respectfully...last year the two had fought a lot even at one point getting into a fight. "Yeah...just read a few.." The redhead said and leaned back on the front of the stage. Naruto started flipping through his script and then waved to Anko when she looked over at them.

Lee's voice fell a little quiet being somewhat shy reading the lines out. "Um.. Here you go Romeo the flowers you asked for… for Juliet, the roses that she r-requested you to give," Lee said stumbling a bit over some of the words because he was nervous to mess up.

Gaara blinked and sighed a little and walked over to sit back down, he could ether be a ass or be nice for once...even though he was still mad about last year he didn't want to fight with Lee in his favorite class. "Lee...relax we are practice no pressure...read like you are talking to Naruto." He explained and Naruto grinned glad to see Gaara was making a effort to get along with Lee.

Lee looked down at the floor. "I am sorry, uh.." He coughed a few times then raised the volume of his voice a little. He really hated fighting, and he really did not want to argue with Gaara he seemed like a pretty ok guy. "Here you go, Romeo.." He started out being a little better and he relaxed taking his own version to make the wording sound even more modern. "I brought you the flowers that Juliet wanted." He stated keeping his eyes on Naruto so he felt more comfortable.

"There...your not bad at reading it...I know you have not been in a play before..I am guessing, but it's not as scary as people make you think and since its modern we can make mistakes.. make sure to practice your lines at home." Gaara said and then pulled his hat down lower again and tugged a little at his hood, he always wore a hat to hide his hair and kept his hood up to hide his eyes, he tried his best to avoid a lot of people in school who gave him a really hard time. "Prefect Bushy-Brows!" Naruto said cheerfully and sat down next to Gaara flipping through his script to find the page Lee was on.

Lee still felt a hell of a lot weird about the play though. It was so confusing to him, but he was going to give it his best, maybe he could get on Gaara's good side like Naruto had done. He really did not see why so many people were so mean to him, yet he still held a small grudge since Gaara always had been mean to him even though he kept quiet about what his group did. "See you in my next class Naruto," Lee said and hugged his friend before leaving right as the bell rung not wanting to waste any time in arguing with possibly Riku. The older male came down and scoffed, "You really think he is going to do good with that role in the play? He should he the mute servant that way he does not talk." Then Riku wrapped his arms around his boyfriend kissing his ear, "I will walk you to your next class, but I do not want to miss my Physiology class."

Gaara rubbed his ear and gave a playful push on his boyfriends chest. "Riku don't that feels weird..and sure I guess." He replied and twitched when Naruto pushed his hat down into his face. "Oi! Naruto!" Gaara yelled and the blond laughed and ran after Lee. "Alright Bushy-Brows what's our next class?" Naruto asked grinning.
