Soulmating

A/N: Well, I'm really excited, because this is the first story I've ever written! I've been coming here for two years now, and I've had lots of ideas, but I never had the time to write them down, and when I did, I never liked the result. I'm still not really satisfied, but without feedback, I'll never get there. I know this is a very short chapter, but it's meant as more of a prologue. I've got a nice long story in my head, and most of it is already pretty thought out. Unfortunately I can't promise to update regularly, but I'll try to post a chapter every week or two.

Reviews are really welcome, since I have no experience whatsoever and I always have the feeling that everything I write is complete crap xD

They had just returned from their first real mission that afternoon. And what a mission it was. They had all had plenty of rest on their way back, and had just filed their reports at the Hokage’s tower. Then they had ran into Kiba, who had already heard some things about their mission, and asked them to come by that night, to celebrate and tell the rest of the rookie 9 about their mission. Of course, Naruto and Sakura were thrilled about it, after all, nothing better than a good party after a long and dangerous mission. But after they had gone home and freshened up, Naruto had one question.

“Sasuke, why are you coming? You don’t even like parties.”

“Hn.” was Sasuke’s signature response.

“Sasuke-kun’s coming because I asked him to, Naruto.” Sakura said angrily.

“I’m coming because it’s my social obligation. The party is in my honor.”

“The hell it is, it’s a party in our honor, teme!” Naruto yelled. He never even saw Sakura’s fist coming.

“Ouch! What the hell Sakura, what was that for?”

“Don’t yell at Sasuke-kun!”

Their bickering went on for awhile, until they were at Kiba’s door. Sasuke knocked.

“Sakura! Naruto! Sasuke! Great to see you! Come in, and have a beer!” Kiba said, after he had opened the door.

“Thanks Kiba.” Sakura said. “Hey everybody!”

When they came inside, they were welcomed by a loud cheer and a lot of congratulations. All of their friends had come. Ino, Shikamaru, Chouji, Shino, Hinata, they were all there. And there was beer. Lots and lots of beer.

“And then Zabuza, Zabuza he sort of dashed towards Gato and, and… he took Gato down with him.” Naruto drunkenly finished the story.

“Wow, dude. That is awesome!” said Kiba, while all the others were cheering. “Now that we’re all really, really drunk, it’s time for a game!”

“How troublesome…” Shikamaru mumbled.

“Let’s play spin the bottle.” Ino said.

“Great idea, Ino.” Sakura said, while they shared a look of understanding and secretly looked at Sasuke. And before anyone could protest, Ino had picked up an empty bottle and spinned it.

When the bottle stopped, Naruto yelled: “Haha, Ino and Sakura, show us what you’ve got!”

Without saying a word, Ino and Sakura gave each other an intense kiss.

“Whoa, that was unexpected” said Chouji, the first to pickup his jaw. “But, hey, it’s common knowledge girls practice on each other, so I guess this wasn’t your first time?” The girls both blushed furiously. “My turn. I’m going to kiss…” he said, spinning the bottle. “Shika, I guess it’s you and me now.”

“Troublesome…”

The kiss wasn’t nearly as intense as the previous one, but the response of the rest of the group was. Naruto and Kiba rolled over the floor laughing, the three girls had a nosebleed to show how turned on they were by the sight of two boys kissing, and even Shino had to suppress a chuckle. Only Sasuke seemed as indifferent as ever.

“Well, that was… different.” Shikamaru decided, after the laughter had stopped. ”Naruto, you’re next.”

“Let’s see what this bottle has in store for me.” the blonde said nervously. He was probably the only one that had never kissed someone before. Well, him and Sasuke, who had never showed any interest in anybody. Hinata’s face turned red, hoping it was going to be her. Everybody looked at the bottle as it went slower, and slower and stopped, pointing at…

“Sasuke! I guess you boys are lucky to lose your real first kiss to each other, just like your fake first kiss.” Kiba smirked evilly.

“Hell no, I’m not kissing the teme!”yelled the blonde.

“While I’m not particularly looking forward to kissing you, baka, it is the game. I thought you never backed down from a challenge, but if you don’t want to do it, fine.” Sasuke responded.

Feeling insulted, Naruto pulled Sasuke in for a deep, angry kiss. If the teme wanted it, he could get it.

That’s when it happened. The moment their lips touched, slowly their chakra began seeping out, and mixing around them. Naruto’s red with Sasuke’s blue, into a deep, beautiful purple. Circling around them, it became too intense for anyone to look at. And then, slowly, the purple chakra began to recede into the both of them, until it was gone.

Sasuke and Naruto fell down together, unconscious.
