Chapter Ten
Naruto rubbed his eyes and yawned. He sat once again at the Hokage’s, this time because of Sakura. The girl was given a sedative to make her sleep and Kakashi and the Hokage was sitting, Iruka was also called in.
“Okay Iruka now that you’re up to speed I’m going to tell all of you what I found out.” The Hokage said.
“It’s about time.” Naruto said and Iruka gestured for him to be quiet.
“Well one thing, that symbol on those dark ninja’s bands. It’s a very old marking of an ancient bat people.” The Hokage explained. “They drink blood and even eat people or animals. We know this happened here.”
“So is this what’s going on with Sasuke?” asked Naruto.
“I believe so. Biting him was to brand him so to speak and it also served to weaken him. The Jutsu was to make the process of making him like them happen.” The Hokage took a breath.
“Is, there anything to reverse this?” Kakashi asked.
“There is, but there’s a time limit before it’s permanent. Means Sasuke has a strong will we may have 2 weeks to a month to find the cure. I’m surprised it took this long for him to start, from what I read it only takes a few days.” The Hokage said. “Anyways the cure it called the Shinsei elixer, made from Violet weeds and Holly roots.”
“Where the hell do we find those?” Naruto asked. “I don’t even know those plants.”
“Well Naruto you won’t be finding them, that will be up to me and a few others.” The Hokage said. “Kakashi and Iruka will stay to watch things, for some reason the dark energy seals have no effect on Sasuke.”
“Well what am I suppose to do? Wonder around with my thumb up my ass!?” The blonde huffed.
“If you like, but I rather you stick around and talk to Sasuke if you see him. Don’t fight him.” The Hokage said.
“I can take him….”
“No Naruto! I’m a Jonin and he was able to toss me like a dirty rag.” Kakashi said. “I just don’t get why both his eyes are Sharingans.”
“I’m not sure either, but it means he can copy twice as many moves than normal. Even Itachi couldn’t do that.” The Hokage said.
“Who?” Naruto asked.
“Sasuke’s older brother.” Said Iruka.
“I didn’t know that.” Naruto said and the Hokage sighed.
“Well long story short, Itachi killed their whole family and somehow Sasuke survived.” He said and Naruto went silent.
“When were you going to leave and start looking for those plants?” Iruka asked.
“In the morning would be best. One good thing is that Sasuke hasn’t tried biting, but it’s terrible what he did to Sakura.” The Hokage said.
“We’ll put up Holy charms, that seems pretty effective on him.” Kakashi said.
“Yes that’s true. Put them on the entrances and tell the villagers to put them on their doors and windows.” The Hokage said.
“Yes sir. Should we tell them what’s going on?” asked Kakashi.
“No, not really. Just tell them Sasuke’s not himself, to just leave him be if they see him.” The Hokage said and they sat in silence for the time being.
