When Deception Backfires

Before Naruto could even move, the thundering sounds of footsteps and the slamming open of all four doors in the room made him groan internally. Damn! Didn't this happen in a movie he'd seen once? Go figure things wouldn't be as easy as taking out Hiashi.* Now, surrounding Naruto were over thirty guards with sharp blades at his throat.

"Naruto-Kun...!" Sakura yelled, standing.

"You don't dare come to his rescue lest you want his head on the floor." Hiashi warned her.

Sakura's face paled and she swallowed nervously. Even the normally composed Shikamaru Nara seemed nervous. Hiashi walked behind one of the guards who'd had a blade at Naruto's neck.

"You DARE come into my house and demand my daughter WITH or WITHOUT my approval? That damned over confidence will get you killed."

"Father...!" Hinata began.

"Imputant child!" Hiashi began.

She watched the veins appear next to his eyes and she knew he'd just activated his Byakugan, meaning he meant business. Kiba's hair nearly bristled when he felt a wave of some sort coming his way. Kiba pulled her backwards, protecting her with his face almost twisted into a snarl as the invisable wave shattered a tea cup sitting on the table. Everyone stood up with looks of horror on their faces.

"How...?!" Neji asked.

Hinata looked at Kiba, her eyes wide. The Byakugan was only used to enable the nearly perfect three-hundred-six degrees of vision! Was it possible Hiashi had a secret or two about turning that feild of vision into an even bigger weapon than it already was?

"How dare you...!" Kiba growled.

"Hmph, the Inazuka boy. I would have much preferred Hinata marry a watchdog than the village curse."

"Stop calling him that!"

Everyone looked at Hinata who'd probably raised her voice louder than she ever had in her life. She pulled away from Kiba, standing in front of Naruto.

"Naruto-Kun isn't the village curse! He's a wonderful and strong shinobi who does all he can to help people! He never gets depressed, even with Kyuubi inside of him! Naruto-Kun is a warm, wondeful person, and..."

She clenched her eyes shut and yelled,

"...He's the one I want to marry, even if it means getting kicked out of the Hyuuga clan!"

'Why you...!" Hiashi growled.

Before anyone had a chance to blink, Hiashi had two fingers deep in Hinata's stomach. As if feeling it in slow motion, her head flew backwards as blood was seen flying from her mouth as her eyes widened in pure terror.

"N...Naru...to..."

Like a speeding missle, Hinata was sent backwards over the table and out of the other paper doors which collided with the room across the way until everyone watched Hinata's body land on the solitary kotatsu table and watched it break in half as her body landed on it.

"HINATA!" Sakura screamed.

The girls hurried over to Hinata who'd been thrown atleast a good eighty feet backwards. Ino covered her mouth to stop a horrified shriek from escaping her mouth. The beautiful Hinata Hyuuga's laid there, her head turned to the side and her mouth slightly open as a trail of blood slowly leaked out of her mouth. Her eyes were wide and soulless as she laid there, her eyes half-rolling to the back of her head.

"Hinata-Chan!" Sakura kneeled down, feeling for any sign of a pulse.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she found one, but it was very weak. Naruto turned on Hiashi, his eyes flashing red for a moment before he realized if he moved, heads would roll, mainly his. He felt his blood run hot and he knew kyuubi was just itching to get out of him and kill Hiashi Hyuuga.

"HINATA....!" he growled, his voice filled with worry.

"What the hell was that?!" Shikamaru demanded as he stood up.

"Ah, the Nara boy too. Well, I am indeed honor. And to answer your question, Shikamaru Nara, that was Byakugen Backlash."

As he began walking over to Hinata, Kiba stood in front of him, baring his fangs.

"Bastard...! Don't you dare...!"

Before his final words came out of his mouth, he found himself getting slammed in the side of his mouth, yet Hiashi had simply tapped the back of his knuckles against his face! Kiba went flying off to the side as if he'd been hit with a much greater force as he landed a few feet away, groaning in pain.

"Kiba-Kun...!" Chouji began.

Shikamaru stopped Chouji and Sasuke before they did anything by giving them the look that said not even Shikamaru Naru was stupid enough to tangle with Hiashi Hyuuga. TenTen stood in front of the girls and glared at him.

"Ootou-sama, please don't! Leave Hinata-Chan be! She's unconscious and unresponsive! Please...!"

Hiashi looked at the pleading, nearly tearful TenTen. When his nephew Neji had brought her to him and introduced her as his bride, Hiashi gave nothing but warm approval. The girl was spunky, energetic and full of life. Hell, if she wanted, she could be the Hyuuga heiress, but he was just as impressed when she said all she wanted to do was be with Neji. Hiashi looked at the girls behind TenTen. The Haruno girl, a special apprentice of Tsunade was definitely one not to be touched. Tsunade would probably burn his estate to the ground. The oldest he instantly recognized as the leader of the Sand Village's older sister and he knew he didn't want to be the one to start another war with them. Especially because their leader, while the same age as Naruto, was equally strong and just as deadly. Lastly was the Yamanaka girl, Ino. He was fond of her father's flower shop and meant their family no ill will. He sighed, growling in slight irritation. He looked over at one of the terrified maids and grunted.

"Take Hinata-Chan to her room."

"Y...yes, sir."

"WAIT JUST A DAMN SECOND!" Naruto yelled.

A loud popping sound could be heard before the room was suddenly filled with fifty Naruto's...all female and naked. They crawled all over the thirty guards who were sputtering and blushing like idiots. Under any other circumstance, it would have been pretty freaking funny, but that didn't stop Shikamaru from laughing hysterically. Hiashi was more than appauled and looked around for the real deal.

"THAT IS ENOUGH!" another voice yelled.

The clones all disappeared and TenTen stood, looking completely livid. Shikamaru noticed Chouji holding a fainted Ino in her arms and wondered just what the hell had happened!

"Oi, what the...?"

"Ootou-Sama, we're taking our leave now. Please, we are sorry for all of the trouble we've caused you."

Hiashi sighed, but huffed in complete irritation. He looked at Naruto who was staring at him straight in the eye. He sighed, bowing his head.

"Forgive me. That's all I ask."

Naruto and the others walked out, feeling horrible for leaving Hinata laying there at the mercy of her father and of Neji. Maka-Chan escorted the guests out and without any words, they left the enormous Hyuuga estate, watched by Hiashi until they were out of sight, everyone going their own, separate ways, save for the Kazekage's elder sister who went off with Shikamaru. He saw the maids quickly take Hinata to her room and excused Neji to his own while the maids cleaned up the wreck which started out so beautifully as Hinata's dinner. Hours later, when the moon struck midnight, Neji stole away into Hinata's room and saw she still hadn't moved, despite having been changed into a beautiful white yukata. He'd learned, as he sat by Hinata's side, that his uncle used his new technique by using all of the chakra Hinata had been exterting, magnifying it by using Bayakugen and sent it right back at her. He looked at Hinata as she slept and chuckled slightly.

"I'll let you play your game a little longer, Hinata-Chan...but you'd better hope Hiashi doesn't find out."

As he left the room, he allowed himself a brief chuckle.

"Damn...they actually GOT us."

He looked up at the moon traveling over the sky knowing Naruto and the others had regrouped by then, but was surprised by a dark figure suddenly dropping down in front of him and punching him as hard as possible in the stomach. He gasped, closing his eyes as he fell forward onto the ground.

"Sweet dreams, Neji..." the voice chuckled.

With Neji unconscious, the figure made it's way to Hinata's room where they saw the heiress still sleeping at this point. As he overshadowed her, he watched her eyes slowly open before he chuckled.

"Maybe it's best if you go back to sleep."

Before she could scream, she watched the man stomp hard on her stomach. Hard enough to make her pass out once more. Neji came to an hour or so later, grabbing his stomach in pain. He recovered quickly and headed to Hinata's room, all the color draining from his face when he saw she was gone.

"GODDAMMIT.....!!!"

It was then he knew...NOW he needed the help of Naruto and the others. He left the Hyuuga estate heading to Naruto's home. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Chouji carrying Ino to Naruto's house, but going a completely different way. Neji watched and saw how Chouji was joined by Shikamaru Nara moments later. As they walked, they came upon Naruto's home. Sakura answered the door, dressed back in her normal outfit like everyone else at this point, but it was no secret, everyone was pretty tired.

"Come on in, guys. How's Ino's body?"

"Safe. My mom asked why I brought her home with me." Chouji chuckled.

"Good old, Chouji. Well, where is everyone?" Shikamaru asked, lighting up another cigarette.

Sakura led them into Naruto's bedroom where TenTen and Naruto were sitting on the bed and Temari was half asleep in a chair across from the bed while Sasuke was leaning against the doorway. Kiba was sitting on the floor, his back propped up to the bed, a visiable bruise on the side of his face. Chouji sat Ino down in a chair next to Temari, Ino still completely unconscious. Shikamaru nodded and sighed.

"Everything looks good. C'mon, let's do this before anyone gets the wiser."

"Agreed." TenTen smiled.

TenTen made a quick hand symbol before turning back into Hinata of all people and they watched Hinata make another hand symbol right before she passed out, completely unconscious. Ino's body sprang back to life and she gasped, coughing a little.

"Damn...I used too much chakra..." she groaned.

Chouji steadied her as she almost fell out of the chair.

"That was amazing! Masking a Mind Body Switch Technique with a perfect Clone Jutsu of TenTen! It's amazing how you were able to actually possess Hinata and then hide it was her!" Chouji smiled as he rubbed her hand.

She smiled, exhausted at this point. While Hinata's unconsciousness made it easy for her do the Mind Body Switch, it was using all that chakra PLUS another jutsu which took up more chakra. Ino fell forward, completely asleep at this point. Chouji picked her up and smiled.

"I guess I'll take her home."

Naruto, who'd placed Hinata in his bed, pulled the blanket up to her chin when Sakura was done using her own medical justu to check if Hinata was harmed internally.

"She just has a few bad bruises and scrapes, but...nothing's damaged internally."

Naruto looked as if he might pass out from the relief. He sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Hinata. She looked like she was in so much pain earlier, but now she was sleeping peacefully and hadn't awoken from Hiashi's attack. He sighed and looked at his friends with a small smile.

"Arigato, everyone..."

Kiba stood up and stretched.

"No problem..."

"WRONG." A voice said.

That cold voice even made Ino awaken and Temari snap out of trying to doze off. Sasuke didn't bother moving when he saw Neji appear in the doorway. Naruto pulled a kunai out and stood in front of Hinata, growling.

"Neji, what the hell do you want?!"

"My fiancee back."

Everyone's eyes widened as Neji swallowed his pride and bowed his head.

"I understand what you were doing. I know how TenTen was posing as Hinata by a Clone Jutsu so you guys could sneak the real deal out...but TenTen's been kidnapped."

"KIDNAPPED?!" Ino asked.

"She was mistaken by a shinobi with an intent to kidnap her."

"Goddammit...!!!" Naruto growled.

"Well who would do that?!" Sakura asked.

Neji sighed and looked at the actual Hinata.

"Why else would anyone want to kidnap Hinata?"

"For power over the estate." Kiba nodded.

"Wrong. Don't you think it's a bit convienent for Hinata to have been kidnapped on the evening she announced her plans to marriage Naruto?"

Shikamaru suddenly chuckled, putting his cigarette out.

"So, she was kidnapped for her own good?"

Neji kissed Hinata's forehead and sighed.

"Never underestimate Hiashi Hyuuga."
