(Ok guys my sickness has become pnemonia, so ya I am still suffering, but I am trying to get another chapter to you guys, hope I do not dissappoint.)


Chapter 9

~Now Lord knows Naruto liked his roommate fairly well, he was a pretty cool guy and seemed like they might actually become friends. Buuuut, Naruto was Naruto and his life was not complete unless he mananged to interfere in other peoples affairs, which he usually took great pleasure in. This one was no exception. In fact he felt this new plan was absolutly genius, every one invovled got something out of his meddling this time, at least everyone directly involved that is.

~It hadn't been as hard to do as Naruto had first suspected. Apperantly there was no rules forbidding them from doing it, as long as it did not cause any dissruption to the dorms and all parties were satisfied. All they had to do was get their Floor Captain's permission, which frankly Naruto actually thought might be the hardest part of the whole thing, but surprisingly Neji gave them thier ok without a bat of an eyelash. So all was set up and complete by the time Shikamaru came back from dinner with his girl friend.

~Shikamaru had walked into his and Naruto's room after a nice but nag filled dinner with his girlfriend. She harped on him about looking and behaving extra lazy and he had tried to tell her he hadn't slept well and was really tired, her answer to that was "Your ALWAYS tired Shika." and continued to nag him everytime he so much as looked as if his eyelids were closing, even if it was to BLINK dangit and God forbid he actually yawned, because the volume his girlfriends voice could reach was a level of noise Shikamaru could not survive with his hearing in tact. So to say he was grumpy when he got to his room was an understatement, all he wanted to do was to sleep for about a week. What he did not WANT to see, was Naruto having a little get together with his friend Kiba, who was actually sitting on HIS bed.


~"Hey Shika how was your date with your girlfriend?" Naruto greeting, his big blue eyes sparkling and a huge smile plastered to his face. It was a normal look for Naruto, but if Shika had not been so tired he might of see that Naruto's happy face was laced with something a bit mistivious.

~"Hey dog face get off my bed." Was all Shika said as he glared at the brunette with overly large canines and two upside down red tattoos on each cheek. He spoke to Kiba a few times and for some reason he reminded Shika of a dog, or a huge dog lover, which was proved when Kiba had regald him and Chouji about his dreams of a huge animal hospital and having a large farm house with lots and lots of dogs. Hence he was called Dog face by Shika now.

~"Sorry dude but can't do that." replied Kiba, smirking with some unknown glee.

~"And why the hell not?" Shika asked with a very rare show of anger, he was just sooo tired.

~"Cause this aint your bed anymore dude, its mine." replied Kiba, and for a genius Shika had a moment of utter bafflement and looked at Kiba like he had grown two heads right before his eyes. He turned to Naruto.

~"Naruto? Tell your friend to get the hell off my bed before I shove my foot up his ass." Shika reponded. Seeing how tired Shika looked and how angry he was getting, Naruto thought they better not string this suprise along, better to get to it.

~"I'm sorry Shika but I can't do that, you see this isn't your room anymore."

~"What?" The veins on Shika's temples started to throb.

~"Wait Shika dont freak out okay? You see I started to think about how you missed hanging out with your best friend and all, knowing that both of you are really busy and all, so I thought that maybe if you two were roommates then you guys could have some time to hang and to unwind and help each other out, so I talked to Kiba and Chouji about maybe having Kiba and you change rooms and all and then we got permission from Neji and we all three decided to move your stuff and have everything set up for you when you got back....thought it would be a good suprise....sorry if I over stepped my bounds and messed things up...if you can wait a few minutes I'm sure between Kiba, me and Chouji we could move everything back in a good half hour or so." Naruto explained, trying to right the wrong he had done. He had been sure that Shika would really like the idea, being able to spend his off time with his best friend and all. Apperantly he had been wrong and had made a major mistake.

~Wait....What? Your telling me that I am no longer YOUR roommate but Chouji's? That you three talked this over amongst yourselves and did this all for me? And thought it was a bright idea?" Shika asked, inside he was pretty much dancing with joy, not only would he be with his best friend but he wouldnt have to stay one more night in this freaky sleep depriving room? YES! There was a GOD!

~"And Chouji knows all of this and is ok with it as well?" Shika asked just to be on the safe side, he wouldn't want to do anything to upset his friend.

~"Yup, and you should of seen how excited he was, I would have been offended about it if he hadn't explained that it wasn't that he didn't like me as a room mate but that you were his best friend and had always wanted to be your dorm mate, but sadly dorm room assignments had not been in his favor, so when Naruto came to us this morning and told us what he had in mind and why, niether of us had a single problem with it...we were sure you'd be ok with it...sorry if that isn't the case dude." Kiba added, looking a bit sad, he really liked Chouji, thought he was a great guy and he knew that his old room mate would be heart broken that his best friend didn't want to be room mates with HIM.

~"He was? Chouji was excited?" Shika asked, smiling.

~"Ya and I am sorry Shika, I should of asked you before I stupidly did this without your permission and by doing so I probably messed things up badly." Naruto apologized.

~"Look Naruto, dont get me wrong...I am not mad that you did this without asking me, hell its one pretty awesome suprise...I was just shocked and tired thats all and I didn't react well...of course I want to be Chouji's room mate...I had always thought we would, but when we were assigned rooms we were not pared but didn't want to make a huge fuss about it...we saw the fuss Gaara had made when they had wanted to split him and Lee up...Gaara gave Professor Jiraiya a headache as big as Tokyo I'm sure." Shika smirked at the remembrance of that certain fiasco and oddly enough Gaara had won, but seeing the trouble that Gaara had made, made Shika and Chouji NOT want to go threw that.

~"I can't telll you how much this means to me and Chouji Naruto...Kiba and I want to thank you for thinking of us and not having a problem with changing your whole dorm life around to help us out....I am sure niether one of us will forget it.....thanks" Shika added, a bit unaccustumed to saying thank yous.

~"No problem dude it was our pleasure."

~"So don't you think you should get to YOUR room and get some rest?" Naruto asked with a smile and Shika smiled back as Kiba threw him his new set of dorm keys to his new room, once Kiba's keys but now his. He threw his own to Kiba and didnt say anything as he grabbed his bag and headed to his best friends dorm room, now his room mate. Secretly Shika was estatic that he would have to spend another night in that bed or room again. Granted he didn't wish it upon Kiba but he figured that Kiba slept like the dead, or so Chouji and Naruto had told him, so he was confident that Kiba would not be affected at all if anything decided to shake the bed again.

~Kiba's first night in his new bed and new room was not without its drawbacks. Even in deep sleep Kiba had almost, ALMOST woke up several times to find out the source of why his bed felt as if it was shaking, but he was not THAT interested and decided the sleep was much better. He was way gone when the scratching along the wall that his bed rested against started.

A/N~Sorry I know this isn't a great chapter but I am getting to more spooky stuff, and I know I havent been updating but I will try harder I promise, again sickness turned to pnemonia so shaking it off is pretty much getting threw it and letting it works its way our of my system.
