Crazy Love

Gaara blushed faintly and looked down at the flower again. "Oh...thank you." He said and then shut his eyes as his sand moved out of the gourd then covered him forming the sand armor. He added more chakra to it so there was color so he didn't look like a sand clone. "Well I am ready to go."

"Alright..." Lee said and walked next to Gaara leading him out, they spent the day walking around the village so Gaara could get to know the place again, when it was dark out the lights from the nearby festival were easily seen. Along with the sound of laughter and music. Lee led him all the way there then smiled as he walked into it looking around at all the lanterns.

Gaara looked around and then moved closer to Lee when a few people shot him glares. He made his face go back to its normal expressionless mask, his emotions only being able to be seen in his light green eyes. "What are we going to do here?" He asked in a low voice glancing at the booths around them.

"Have fun maybe play a game or two. Eat lots of unhealthy yet youthful foods! That sort of stuff Gaara-kun," He said with a bright grin. The leaf ninja could feel the small boy get closer and he glanced around. Everyone was looking at them strangely. Sighing Lee shot each and every one of them a glare which surprised the other villagers and they looked away both in shock and confusion.

Gaara blinked then looked up at Lee surprised to see he was glaring at people. "Heh your glare is almost as deadly as mine.." He said but still kept close to the older male feeling a little out of place there. He normally avoided crowded places so he was feeling a little on edge, but he could feel his heart beat a little faster when his hand brushed Lee's and he folded his arms again.

Lee smiled and gently grabbed onto Gaara's brown belt around his body and tugged him over to a kunai tossing booth for the little kids smiling and watching them. "Gaara-kun do you want to play a game first or get some food?" He asked softly while leaning into the booth.

Gaara tilted his head looking at the game then looked down at the hand on his belt. "What ever you would like, can you throw kunai?" He asked watching a few kids throw the blades and miss.

Lee grinned and pulled out one of his own kunai and looking at a little girl who was upset because she could not even hit the target. Tilting his hand a little he flung the kunai just as the girl tossed her own and hit the mark. "Of course I can Gaara-kun. Taijustu and weapons are how I get by being a ninja," He said then happily watched the girl get very excited and ask for her prize. "Hmm... do you want to make a mask with me?" He asked glancing over at a booth that carved masks for people and you could paint them yourself.

Gaara let a little sand fall off his hand then made it go and get Lee's kunai being it back to him. "Here.." He said holding it out to the older male then looked over at the booth the masks were at. "Alright.."
Lee took the kunai and slipped it back into his pouch then smiled when the girl thanked him and pat her on the head. Lee led Gaara over to the mask booth and started looking through many of the designs and couldn't help but stop at a cat mask. "This one Gaara-kun? It is cute," He said smiling.

Gaara folded his arms again his sand armor covering his hand again. "Ok..my brother has a few cats." He said and frowned a little when people moved away from the booth so it was only Lee and him there. "Sorry...people are going to keep doing that with me around you.." The redhead muttered picking up a dog mask and holding it up to Lee's face for a moment then set it back down.

"Forget them then... They need to learn to forget. It is unyouhtful to hold grudges.." Lee said without looking up to Gaara and pointed to mask number seven. The man nodded and glanced to Gaara but when Lee shot him a glare too he just made the mask. Lee handed him money and took the mask going over to one of the little tables and sitting down waiting for Gaara to set his gourd down as well.

Gaara walked over and set a hand on his sash as he glanced around, he felt nervous without his gourd and he carefully sat down on the bench next to Lee and folded his arms over his chest. "Well Lee your one of a kind...not everyone is as forgiving as you.." He said softly and looked at all the paints and feathers that were on the table.

"No, some people are just not youthful around this village..." He said remembering when everyone cast him out because he could not do any justu besides Tai. Shaking his head he smiled and grabbed a paint brush painting raccoon rings on the mask, "Hehe, now it has some Gaara in it," He said playfully looking over at him.

Gaara blinked and smirked a little, he reached over and grabbed a paintbrush that had green on it and started to carefully paint the mask. "And a bit of you now..your the only one I think looks good in green." The redhead said starting to enjoy himself.

"Really? Green is a very very youthful color and I did not think you think I am the only one who looks good in it.." He said and smiled. Picking up a red paint brush he started to paint onto the mask smiling wider. "I am enjoying this.." He said happily.

Gaara looked at Lee and blushed faintly looking at his smile. "Yeah..me to.." He said and looked down at the mask they were painting. He picked up a blue feather and wanting to be playful for once stuck it in Lee's hair. "Heh.."

Lee blinked the laughed lightly. "Haha, you are so funny sometimes Gaara-kun," He said softly then picked up one of the stick able hearts up and stuck it over Gaara's kanji. "There now people know what your kanji means," He said laughing more. People around them felt confused looking at Lee being so happy, but none were non afraid enough to get any closer and see what was going on.

Gaara smiled a little and looked down at their mask. "It is starting to look good." He said and blinked looking at his hand seeing paint had gotten on him. "Hm..with my armor I can't even feel that." He said and carefully picked up the mask to look at it better.

Lee smiled and playfully grabbed it from Gaara moving over and handing it to the guy who blew hot air onto it using a justu and made the pant hardened and glossy. Then he walked back over and slipped it over his face. "Sooo How do I look?" He asked.

Gaara stared at him for a moment and couldn't help but laugh a little. "Haha...uh I don't know what word to use for that." He said then blinked realizing he had laughed and blushed getting embarrassed. 'I hope I didn't just creep Lee out..' He thought and folded his arms.

Lee was speechless pulling the mask down. Then he grinned and moved closer to Gaara. "Your laugh is really cute... you should do it more often..." He whispered out so only Gaara could hear then held his hand out for his new lover to take it.

Gaara blushed darker under his armor and shyly slipped his hand into Lee's. "You sure you want to hold my hand in front of people?" He asked and started walking wanting to see more things.

"Of course I do! I love you.." Lee said the last part a little quieter then started walking over holding his hand. He stopped at one booth when he noticed another and grinned at him. "Gaara-kun stay here I will be right back I promise.." He said then kissed Gaara's cheek as quickly as he could.

Gaara looked down getting a little awkward then nodded. "Alright just hurry back.." He replied and took the mask from Lee staring down at it.

Lee nodded and bolted off to the other both. He smiled looking at all of the key chains and figuring's and everything for couples. When a heart shaped rock caught his eyes he couldn't help but get it for Gaara. The woman at the stall giggled and put it on a necklace for him and he thanked her paying for it. Lee then turned around and started to run back to Gaara but a little girl was in the way and he dodged hitting a rock and tripping.

Gaara's eyes widened and his sand rushed out of the gourd quickly and wrapped around Lee stopping him from hitting the ground. He froze when he heard people gasping and looked around to see everyone had gone silent and people were giving him fearful looks. He winced at this and his sand moved back into his gourd and he looked down at the ground not meeting anyone's eyes.

Lee frowned looking at everyone freaking out. "Wait wait! Gaara-kun was just helping me, it is alright everyone. Calm down!" Lee called out loudly then continued running over to Gaara. Everyone's eyes were still on them and Lee frowned reaching out to gently grab Gaara's arm. "Gaara-kun..?"

Gaara pulled away and kept his head down. He hated when people gave him those looks.. it hurt.. "Lee...can we leave..?" He asked his voice slipping back into monotone.

Lee nodded and led Gaara out of the festival as quickly as he could until they were at a bench near the river. "Gaara-kun... I.. ignore everyone... they do not know how great of a person you really are..." He said and moved over to him wrapping his arms as best he could around the smaller boy since he had his gourd on, keeping him in that warm loving embrace.

Gaara's eyes widened in surprise and he blushed darker. "L-Lee?" He was still for a moment before hesitantly hugging his boyfriend back. "They all still see me as a monster..." He said and shut his eyes tightly.

"That will change... you just need to relax...they will too after awhile..." Lee said softly and pulled back to pull out the heart necklace. "I got this for you..." He said and smiled wide at Gaara.

Gaara blinked and felt himself calm down even more. "You..got me a gift? I have never gotten a gift before." He said leaning closer to look at it. "Thank you Lee your very sweet.."

"I wanted to get you a gift because I care about you... and It is just the truth, I am not being sweet..." He said to him and nuzzled him lightly before giving Gaara a light kiss. "I am sorry the festival did not go so good..."

The sand ninja smiled then sweat dropped a little. "Uh Lee sand armor.." He said and then looked down at the mask in his hands. "Well I enjoyed myself..so its alright." He said.

"Neh... it is alright it tastes odd but I do not mind..." He said with a slightly disgusted look at first before moving his hands and putting the necklace on Gaara. He smiled and traced his fingers over it, "Do you like it?" He asked softly.

Gaara blushed and lifted his hand to set it over Lee's. "Yeah..I like it..." He replied and felt himself relaxing more. "Heh Lee I don't think you really don't mind the sand." He said and put the mask on Lee to be playful.

"Then sand is part of you so I will accept it.." Lee said softly and leaned in more to Gaara smiling and holding him close still. "Aww look at the happy couple. Adore si pathétique.." (Love so pathetic) A tall male with black hair and green bangs said sitting up in a tree looking at the two.

Gaara stepped back from Lee then glared at the the male in the tree. "Who are you?" He asked and folded his arms.
