Eiji frowned hearing the howl of pain from Ichirou. The white wolf was an idiot, a childish idiot. He would let his guard down and get himself hurt. Eiji ignored his baby brother’s howl, but frowned hearing the second howl, a truly fearful howl of pain and fear. Eiji snarled turning into his wolf form. He darted out into the forest his eye narrowed. He followed the scent of his brother and another familiar scent, something he hadn’t smelt in years. Eiji snarled running faster. He stopped seeing the large black wolf towering over Ichirou. The white was on the ground submitting to the black. Eiji jumped out of the bushes and snarled at the black, standing in front of Ichirou protectively.

“Ichirou, are you ok?”

“Yeah… Eiji… It’s Base.” Eiji frowned looking at the black. He did smell like Base and look like him, but Base was dead. He’d never came back from checking on the village years ago! He was dead… no wolf would betray his pack, not even the runt Base!

“You lie… Base is dead.”

“I’m obviously not dead you idiot.” Eiji’s eyes went wide. He frowned growling softly at Base. The wolf was alive… he had betrayed his pack! His family! But why?! Eiji frowned seeing the brunette shake and glare at him from the ‘safety’ of Base’s chest. The black wolf leaned down licking Yuudai’s cheek. Eiji snapped, jumping at the black snarling. It wasn’t the fact that Base had abandoned his pack, his family, or  Eiji… it was the fact that the brunette seemed so close to the black. Eiji’s eyes went wide. Base turned, grabbing Eiji’s neck and pinning the brown down to the ground. He snarled biting hard enough to break the skin.

“Do not get violent near Yuudai again or I’ll rip your fucking throat out!” Eiji growled baring his teeth. He began to snarl his eyes narrowing. Base’s teeth dug deeper. Eiji shook his body stopping. Base was going to kill him if he was not careful. Feeling the brown relax slightly Base released his hold. He frowned, nudging Yuudai softly.

“Let’s go home.” Yuudai began to nod. He crawled onto the black wolfs back when Base lay down beside the smaller boy. Yuudai gripped the thick black fur with all his strength. Base arose slowly and glared towards Ichirou and Eiji, his teeth bared and his eyes darkening.

“Do not even think about coming to find him.”

“W-Wait! Base… Take him to the village heads’ house to collect his payment...” Ichirou said softly, his ears low against his head. Base frowned and nodded in understanding before darting off back towards the small village. Eiji glared towards the white wolf and snarled.

“Idiot!”

“I’m sorry… but we can’t hurt him. Mother would kill us if we did… Base was always her favorite.” Eiji frowned and huffed. It was true. Base looked like their mothers dead brother. She had loved Base more all throughout pup-hood until they figured the wolf was dead, but now it seemed she was still favoring the black wolf. Eiji growled and turned walking back towards the cave.

Yuudai stared ahead of him as Base ran through the forest, not really looking at anything, just staring into nothingness. Yuudai frowned feeling Base slow down. He looked down at the wolf and shook. He didn’t want to stop at the village, he didn’t save those kids, he had no right to payment.

“Yuudai, I do not plan to tell your mother anything. We know how he gets. But if we are going to look like you finished this mission, you should collect payment. Plus we have to pick kit up.” Yuudai frowned, kit was with him before the attack and he had yet to see the fox. Yuudai sighed softly when Base stopped. He slipped off the wolf’s back and frowned.

“No one will know about this, you did not save me…”

“Understood.”

“I do not want to go to Konoha. I want to go to Suna. It’s closer and I can’t face the Hokage right now…” Base frowned. Yuudai never called his mother Hokage. This worried the god. Yuudai was still a mother’s boy. He adored his mother no matter what happened. Now Yuudai was acting as if Naruto was no relation to him.

“I… I understand.” Yuudai walked towards the village, his eyes dark and full of hate. He walked to the elder’s hut and knocked.

“Come in.” Yuudai frowned. The man seemed in a much better mood. Yuudai walked in slowly his eyes scanning the area. The room was brighter, a young blonde sat beside the elder. The man looked up from his desk and stared in confusion at Yuudai. The boy looked different. His hair was down, his eyes which were once soft and understanding, were now darkened with hate, self-loathing, and fear. The boy’s body wasn’t relaxed. He was tense and stiff as he walked towards the desk. The elder frowned. He had been the elder of his village for years. He knew the look of someone forced to endure sexual acts he or she did not wish. The boy had no physical marks on him, but his mental pain was evident enough.

“Thank you. Because of you my grandson and all the other children of the village have come back safely.” Yuudai frowned taking the bag of coin from the man. He closed his eyes as he tied the bag to his belt.

“Next time, make sure your report means DEMON not Missing Nin.” Yuudai’s voice was harsh, cold, and bitter. He turned and walked out of the hut never once opening his eyes. He did not want to see the man’s face. He knew he was being rude, but he really didn’t care. The elders face dropped, he shuddered. His grandson showed signs of rape, but no memory. This boy had memory but no physical pain. In his eyes, being mentally aware of such an attack was far worse.

Yuudai frowned looking down the road. A small sigh escaped his lips at seeing Base. The man was carrying the small golden fox. Kit had obviously been injured, her body was covered in wraps and bandages.

“When the vet here heard she was your fox, he took care of her for free.”

“I do not need their pity.”

“It’s not pity Yuudai; their children are safe and sound thanks to you.”

“Let’s just go. I want to get to Suna.” Base sighed nodding slowly. He handed the small fox to Yuudai before leading the boy out of the village. Once out of sight, Base removed his pants and changed form laying down again for Yuudai to climb on. The brunette walked over to Base running his hands through his fur.

“Base… what did those wolves do to me?”

“They got rid of any damage the attack caused on you…physically, but god powers can only do so much…”

“Will I become pregnant?”

“No…. If I know Eiji, he would have stopped anything from happening before it started.”

“But I’m a guy, will he even think to…”

“In other words Yuudai, our magic erased ALL that happened to you. It never physically happened.”

“Just… mentally.”

“Exactly.”

“I think… I’m starting to like wolves…” Base smirked allowing the boy to climb up and sit on his back. Yuudai hardly weighed anything, so it was no problem running to Suna with him. Yuudai held onto the thick fur with one hand, and held the fox with the other. Once in Suna he would send a bird to give the payment to Konoha, and a message stating he was taking a vacation. Gaara would be on his way to Konoha by now for their “monthly visit.” That would give Yuudai at least a week to try and forget it ever happened.

It never happened…
