Chapter 11: Godaime
Chapter 11: Godaime
One month later back in the Hidden Leaf Village of Konoha. Jiriaya had finally been released from the hospital. He made his way to the Hokage’s office.
“Well it seems that even though you have been released from the hospital you still have no manners when it comes to me or the being the Hokage do you Jiriaya. Now that you are here how are things going with everybody” said Tsunade.
“Well it seems that everyone suffered a lot of damage during the encounter with Kyuubi. However the one I really feel sorry for is Sakura. It seems that her heart is broken and in this situation only Naruto would be the one to guide her through it.”
“But Naruto is not here”.
“I know that is what really is hurting her deep down inside. I think that Naruto’s words affected her more than anything. However we still don’t know what Naruto said to her…By the way how is Sakura doing Tsunade?”
“She hasn’t left her room and she refuses to speak to anyone. I really do feel sorry for her, and I can’t think of anything to tell her or to ease her pain. Do you have any suggestions Jiriaya?”
“Off hand no but we need to get her to something to take her mind off of this. Maybe a little vacation or send her on a mission. That is about all I can think of Tsunade”.
“You may just be right a little vacation just might be what she needs. Also I have a favor of you Jiriaya? Do you think you can take over my office for about a week?”
“You want me to take over for you for a week. Just what the fuck do you think you are going to do you Tsunade?
“First of all don’t use language like that in front of me and also I need a break from this office. I am not going to go very far. Just far enough to take my mind away from it all and I will take Sakura and Shizune with me also”.
“You got to be kidding me. You want me take over for the Hokage for a while have you lost your fucking mind?”
After the second insult by Jiriaya Tsunade decided that was enough and punched Jiriaya square in the chest. The force of the impact drove him straight into the wall where a deep impression was left.
“Damn Tsunade do you have to do that. It really hurts you know. Good grief you and Sakura both know how to throw a mean punch. Just to let you know she gave Kakashi and I a mean bruise before the fight against Kyuubi, you know that girl knows how to hit just like you”.
“So Jiriaya will you take the job or not”
“What do I get in return if I do this for you what do I get in return Tsunade?”
“Whatever you want from me that is within reason. Will that satisfy you Jiriaya?”
“I will get whatever I want when you return. Fine, fine I will do as you ask Hokage-sama”.
“SHIZUNE go and get Sakura for me will you.”
“Yes Hokage-sama I shall go and fetch Sakura for you ma’am”.
A little later Shizune returned with Sakura thrashing in Kakashi’s arms. ”Sakura calm down everything is all right, and by the way Kakashi why are you here?” said Tsunade.
“I’m sorry Hokage-sama but Sakura just wouldn’t leave her home and I happened to see Kakashi in the street and asked him to help me out with Sakura. I figured that he was the best choice to help me bring in Sakura”.
“Very well then Kakashi you may stay we will only be a while. Sakura I know you are hurting inside because I know the pain you are feeling. Remember I lost my love long ago and the heart never heals, but the reason why you are here is that Jiriaya has decided to run things here for a while. Meantime you, Shizune, and I are going on a little trip to take our mind off things, and for a little girl time. Beside I need a little break and there are very few missions that need to be done here. So pack your things we leave in one hour by the northern gate. Kakashi if you will be so kind and relieve the guards for a little while we get out. I don’t want everyone to worry that I am gone alright Kakashi”.
“Yes Hokage-sama that will be fine” said Kakashi as he disappeared in a puff of smoke.
“Well then Sakura why don’t you get yourself ready and we will be off”.
