Sasuke didn’t know what he was doing. Some invisible force was both pushing and pulling him in different directions. Before he could process it, his hand was pushing the car door open. He crossed the large circle that separated him and the car from the fountain the blonde was standing.

But it wasn’t as innocent as it sounded. And this wasn’t a typical Sunday.

There was a large crowd in front of the fountain and the blonde was standing shirtless on the lip of the large monument.

Sasuke blinked when he got to the blonde, his fervent ardor for Neji all but forgotten. His erection was throbbing but he ignored it, getting closer to the tanned god before him. Naruto’s blue eyes were bright, like a cloudless sky on a summer day, his tanned body toned and chiseled, muscular without being bulky, his plain smooth tummy showing a hint of a six pack. His blonde hair was in a spiky disarray and there were droplets from the fountain, sticking the blonde strands to a smooth forehead. Sasuke followed a drop run down the slightly button nose and watched, fascinated, as it slid down and a pink tongue came to lick it away from those full pink lips.

Sasuke was pulled out of his daze when some imbecile shouted in his ear. He turned to glare at the man when he registered that the man shouted a number.

“I hear one hundred dollars. Can I get one-twenty-five?”

Sasuke turned to see a middle aged man with spiky white hair speak into a microphone, only now noticing the speakers and the large crowd he had walked into.

“One hundred twenty-five.” Sasuke heard to his right.

“One twenty-five. One twenty-five.”

“One hundred fifty dollars.”

“One-fifty. Do I hear one seventy-five?”

Neji got out of the car and followed behind Sasuke, surprised at the action of the raven. A pang of sadness overwhelmed him and his thoughts filled with self pity.

I should have known...everything he said was a lie.’

He narrowed his eyes.

No.

Another part of him refused to admit defeat and that’s the part he listened to. He was not going to lose this chance, probably his only chance, to get the raven to love him like he loved the raven. He was not going to lose to a memory! He took a deep breath before squaring his shoulders and got out of the car to follow Sasuke, immediately surprised by what he saw. Naruto was the center of attention and a weird old guy with long spiky white hair was…auctioning him off?

Neji finally caught up with Sasuke. He grabbed the raven by the elbow and spun him around.

“Neji, what’s going on?” Sasuke was reeling; he was so confused. He looked back at the blonde, who now started to touch himself and his breath caught in his throat.

Naruto ran his hand down his neck, to his chest, flicking his finger over his nipple before continuing down his washboard abs, the tips of his fingers disappearing beneath the waistband of his low riding jeans. Cheers rang out in the crowd, both men and women, and the numbers rang higher.

“Come on ladies and gentlemen. You get to win one date with my hot nephew and who knows…maybe there will be a happy ending...” White brows went up and down suggestively as hoots and jeers were screamed amongst the audience.

“Oi! You pervert!” Naruto blushed, outraged at Jaraiya. He was doing this for the charity—that did not mean he was going to sleep with some stranger. Naruto scanned the crowd again and his heart did that weird flip, stop, start erratically again thing it did whenever he saw the raven.

Naruto had sworn he’d seen a familiar head of raven hair. Seriously, not a lot of people could pull off a hairstyle that looked like a ducks butt.

Sasuke.

Sasuke, his back was to him and the raven was facing…Neji. A pang of sadness had washed through him and his lips had turned in a sad smile, but he wiped it off his face, not forgetting where he was. But then Neji’s off-white eyes caught his own bright blue ones and he was surprised to see the brunette glaring at him. Sasuke turned back to him at Jaraiya’s words, surprise evident in his face and Naruto knew—just knew—that the raven thought he was whoring himself. And touching himself like he was probably wasn’t helping…
But then Jaraiya saved him.

“We have three charities here and the money you give will be divided among the charities as well as all the money donated throughout the event.” But Jaraiya’s serious words didn’t last long as he ended with,

“Come now, ladies and gentlemen...you know he’s hot.” Which, of course, was an understatement. More cheers erupted before the crowd was silenced when someone shouted,

“Four hundred dollars. Ladies and gentlemen a new record has been set by that orange haired man over there.”

Naruto turned to see who his mostly-date was and felt his heart stop. The man was gorgeous. He had the whole rocker thing going on and his faced was pierced excessively. But Naruto’s veins ran cold and a look of fear flashed across his eyes. He knew this man. Not personally, but by reputation. Rumor had it that this guy was Pein—the toughest fighter of a gang named Akatsuki. But they belonged on the far on the other side of the city. What the hell was he doing so far out in the country?

Neji saw the look of fear in Naruto’s expressive eyes and hn’d mentally. So, Naruto was doing this for a good cause. But why was he so afraid of the orange-haired man?

“Four hundred going once...going twice...”

“Five hundred dollars.” Sasuke shouted surprising the hell out of everyone.

“What are you doing?” Neji wanted to hiss at the raven, but remained calm, holding in his anger and trepidation.

So, he was going to choose Naruto over him…

But Sasuke turned to him and there was a look of fear in the deep obsidian eyes.

“Sasuke?” Neji asked confused.

“That’s Pein. He belongs to a gang named Akatsuki. I don’t want to even think about what he’ll do to Naruto. And...Itachi knew Pein before he went crazy. I don’t trust him and I don’t want him any where near Naruto.”

Sasuke was so serious that the brunette didn’t even think to be happy that he wasn’t choosing Naruto for romantic reasons but to protect him. Sasuke’s eyes widened slightly when a new number was shouted.

“Six hundred dollars.” Pein said, his voice growing hard. He was going to get what he came for. And nothing was going to stop him.

“Seven hundred.” Sasuke countered.

“Eight hundred.” Pein said. The crowd had gone so silent that there was no need to shout anymore. All the spectators were silently watching the battle for the blonde going on, wanting to know who was going to win the blonde.

“Nine hundred dollars.” Sasuke said, his eyes narrowing, his shoulders squaring. There was no way this asshole was going to leave with Naruto.

“One thousand dollars.” There was a collective gasp in the crowd. Who the hell would pay a grand for a date?!

“One thousand-five hundred dollars.” Neji intervened and all eyes flew to him. Sasuke’s head whipped to look at the brunette and he thought he was about to suffer a concussion. Naruto’s eyes widened so much the looked like saucers. Pein’s eyes narrowed at the insolent bastard that said the price. The white haired man’s eyes narrowed at Pein, seeing how the pierced man was positively trying to kill Neji with his gaze. There was something definitely going on and he had to stop it.
