Kakashi put his Icha Icha down and grinned eerily at an unsuspecting Iruka. He
straightened his back, cleared his throat, fixed his hair and walked toward the
unsuspecting teacher. He loved cornering his love in the market.
Iruka bit his lip in thought. He needed to know what kind of eggs to buy to make
his cake and the choice was killing him. As he reached to inspect the price on the
set of large ones a voice, throaty and deep, made it's way into his ear and up his spine.
"I think those are a good choice sensei..."
Iruka jumped and dropped the egg, his hands grabbing for something to hold himself
steady. His glare was menacing but Kakashi stood his ground.
"I thought I told you to leave me be..."
Kakashi stepped over the mess and leaned in close, nose an inch away from his beloved's
forehead. He chuckled.
"I came to say goodbye."
Iruka was getting ready to protest but was cut off abruptly.
"Wait... What?!!"
Kakashi smiled as he stepped back, his hand stretching out in a handshake.
"I'm leaving. I have nothing here and I've been hired in another village. I just wanted to say
goodbye and wish you the utmost best of luck in life and in your profession Iruka san..."
Iruka stood shocked. He reached out carefully and felt the strong hold on his hand. The shake lasted
for a bit and Kakashi finally let go. Iruka was still to shocked to say much and all he could do was listen
to Kakashi as he babbled on and on about his new career... about his new path in life.
It dawned the talented teacher. This new path his friend was taking... It didn't include him at all.
The slap echoed thru the market and women gasped. Kakashi held his cheek, a tearful smile filling his
features. Iruka shook as he shoved him against the shelves, fists at his sides.
"You have no god damn right to just leave. YOU CAN'T JUST RUNAWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEMS!!"
Kakashi chuckled darkly. He stood up straight and brushed himself off.
"Like you can talk Iruka sensei. Don't try and pull this hypocrisy on me!!"
Kakashi pushed past him, smile plastered on his face.
"You wanted me out of your life, well you got your wish didn't you? Good riddance don't you think?"
Iruka tried to grab the jounin's shoulder only too have it yanked out of his grasp.
"Your wish has come true. Congradu-fucking-lations."
