Here we go!

All right, I know that I have not updated in a long time and I am sooo sorry for that. I have been really busy with school and my husband coming home from deployment that I have just neglected this story.....for this I apologize. I hope that you enjoy this chapter. A little boring but the next one will be better, I promise. Ja Ne Anubis.

Neji turned towards the voice. “What?”
Sasuke grinned and jumped over the back of the couch. “Tsunade found a jutsu that could help with your eyes,” he said, excitedly, “and she wants to see us today to start the preparations.”
Pale eyes widened in wonder. “Really?”
“Yup,” the raven said, “Lee will be here in a little while to see you as well.”
The Hyuuga smiled and nodded his head. “I would be very pleased to talk to Lee,” he said, “I miss working with my team.”
Sasuke kissed him gently. “I know,” he said, “Hopefully, soon you will be able too.”
Neji was about to reply when they heard a knock at their door. The Uchiha stood and answered the door. Hiashi and Hinata Hyuuga stood there, one looking very grim, the other smiling. “What the hell do you want?” Sasuke growled.
Hinata nodded to Sasuke and then looked at her father. “I will tell him,” she said, “you will just spoil it.”
Hiashi frowned even more. “Well?” Sasuke snapped.
The girl grinned and pulled Sasuke out of the house. “The council has decided to grant your request,” She said, “Everything will be finalized within the week.”
Sasuke nodded. “Well, this is even more good news,” he said, “The Lady Hokage thinks that she may have found a way to heal Neji’s eyes.”
Hiashi frowned. “This is not good,” he said, “then perhaps we should come to another form of agreement.”
Sasuke shook his head. “No, I will not change my mind, nor allow you people to go back on your word,” he snapped, “You will just have to deal with the fact that I am going to win.”
“Neji will never agree to this,” Hiashi said vehemently, “He is loyal, regardless of what is going on.”
Hinata grabbed her father’s arm. “We need to leave now,” she said, “I figured I would come by and tell you the news.”
Sasuke nodded to her and then glared at Hiashi. “I will win, no matter what.”

Neji sat quietly, listening carefully to what was being said outside. He frowned at what was being said, not liking that once again, a decision was being made for him. Standing, he made his way into the bedroom and started to rustle through the drawers on the nightstand. Finding his cane, he made his way out the back way of their apartment. ‘Lucky we live on the first floor’ he thought and continued to make his way to the Hokage’s Tower.

Tsunade was sitting at her desk when Neji felt his way into the room, followed by Shizune. Her aide looked at her in apology before backing out. “What can I do for you, Neji?” she asked.
“You may have found something that can help my eye sight?” Neji asked.
“Yes, but you are here early and where is Sasuke?”
Neji shook his head. “I know that I am here early, and Sasuke is having a conversation with my uncle, he does not know I am here.”
Lee chose that moment to burst into the room. “We are back, Lady Hokage!” he cried happily.
Tenten followed and grinned. “The mission was a success,” she said and then she noticed Neji.
“What happened?” she asked, astonished.
Neji smiled lightly. “My family,” he said.
Lee stared at his friend and then he threw his fist into the air. “How dare they attempt to take his youthful fire away!” he cried, “I will make sure that they feel my wrath and that they apologize to him and……”
Tsunade held up her hand. “Lee, the Hyuuga Clan will be dealt with,” she said, “I just want to make sure that I can heal Neji before they are punished.”
The Taijutsu master lowered his fist and nodded, then pulled Neji into a excited hug. “My friend,” he said, “I will make sure you are taken care of!”
Neji hugged his friend back and smiled again. “I am being taken care of by Sasuke,” he said, “But you are more than welcome to come and visit with me during the days and all that, besides, hopefully, I am back as a shinobi again soon.”
Lee grinned and put Neji down. “I would like that very much,” Lee said, “I will make sure that you are safe when Sasuke is not around.”
Tenten looked on at her friends, grinning. “Neji, would you like to come and have some lunch with us?” she asked, “We were going to celebrate our first mission as Jounin together.”
The brunette nodded. “I would like that, but let me go and find Sasuke, I am sure he is worried about me.”
Tsunade sighed. “Go and have lunch,” she said, “But you and Sasuke be back here in two hours.”
Neji nodded. “Yes Ma’am.”

Sasuke walked into the apartment when the two Hyuuga had left and looked around. “Neji?” he called.
He walked into their bedroom and then to the kitchen and noticed that their back door was open a little. “Shit, where the hell did he go?”
He walked out and saw his lover’s footprints leading to the Hokage Tower. Sighing in relief, he began to follow them and realized that Neji must have become lost a few times on the way. “Damn, I hope that he made it there all right!” he muttered.
“Hey, what’s wrong Sasuke?”
The Raven turned around and frowned at Naruto. “I can’t find Neji,” he said, “I think that he heard me talking to his family and got the wrong idea.”
Naruto nodded. “I just saw him, with Lee and Tenten,” he said, motioning for Kakashi to come over.
The older man walked over and nodded to Sasuke. “Kakashi, we did see Neji right?”
Kakashi nodded. “Yes, he was walking back towards your apartment,” he said, “They should be passing by here anytime now.”
“I must have been arguing with Hiashi longer than I thought,” Sasuke said.
The masked man sighed. “That is way he is in such a bad mood,” he said, “Oh well, at least I don’t have to work for him.”
“I feel sorry for those who do,” Sasuke snickered, “From what Neji has said, he is a real asshole to the branch family.”
“SASUKE!”
Neji flinched when his friend yelled for his lover. Sasuke looked over and sighed in relief again when he saw Neji. “Damnit Neji, why the hell didn’t you tell me you were leaving?” Sasuke growled, “I was worried about you.”
Neji frowned. “I thought that you idiots were deciding what is good for me without me, so I decided to go for a walk,” he snapped, “My decision for once.”
Sasuke groaned. “No, I simply asked for something and they are going to grant it, that is all, but you have to agree to it.”
“What is it?”
“I can’t tell you until after your appointment with Tsunade.”
Neji frowned even more and then looked at Tenten. “Help,” he said.
She grinned and laughed. “Nope, your boyfriend, your argument.”
The others laughed too. “Hey we are going to lunch, would you all care to join us?” Tenten asked.
Everyone nodded in agreement. “We just have to be in Tsunade’s office in about two hours,” Neji said to Sasuke.
The Uchiha smiled. “All right.”
The group had a nice lunch at the Ramen shop. Neji was enjoying himself until he felt Sasuke’s hand on his arm. “Time to go,” he said.
The Hyuuga nodded and stood. “Hopefully, I will see you guys later,” he said, “If not, talk to you soon.”
Sasuke bade everyone goodbye and led Neji to the Tower.

Tsunade was waiting for them. “I have the room ready,” she said, “Now, if this does work, it will be completely, if it does not, then I will continue to look.”
She took Neji’s hand and motioned for Sasuke to follow. “We won’t know for a few days if this works, because I will have to bandage the eyes,” she continued, “But I have heard that it is a very successful procedure, so here is hoping.”
They arrived at the room and she stopped. “Sasuke, wait out here until I am done,” she said, “Neji will be fine.”
