Caught by Night

YAY! I'm done...I was finishing this chap just now and sorta wondered what peaple felt about this one and weather I should stick to long chappy ones like this or short one shots like my story "Again in the arms." And I want to know. eather in this one or the other place it in the review box and let me know what I should stick too.

Well I've said enough!

disclamer- and what I asked santa for is the whole Naruto show to belong to me...and the manga. But for the time being. I think i'lluse it here and then I'm work of my naruto world domination. Shoot you didn't read that! Run away!

(A/N ... the purify thing was Sasuke and Naruto...(i'll say get it on!)...But it's realy a understanding in the chap or a least I hope it was.)

Chapter 13, Love is why.

Sasuke walked in the now morning sun. Blame, gilt and, a sadness he hadn't felt in a long time was on his shoulders, as a blonde lied limp in his arms. Eyes closed and arms resting peacefully in his lap. Sasuke still could swear he was merely sleeping, but he knew better. He 'knew' Kabuto had lied to him, and for that the man was as good as dead.

As the two entered the village of Suna, they were greeted by Temari.

"Sasuke! Where...?" She began. Yet once she notice the blonde hair Kyuubi holder lying there she froze. As Sasuke walked past her, she merely said one thing, in a whispered tone. "Gaara..." Then disappeared in a poof.

'What's he going to do?' Sasuke thought. 'He can't bring Naruto back. I tried...' he sighed inwardly and let tears fall in his mind.

As Sasuke reached the hospital he felt so bad like he himself had been ripped apart. As he stepped inside many medical Ninja tried to take Naruto from him, but couldn't get close enough. At the blonde's room, Sasuke placed him down on the bed, then covered him in a new blanket.

Sasuke crawled up in next to his blonde, then buried his head into Naruto's chest, and cried.

"Kit...?" A voice came from the distance. "Hey Kit...!"

Naruto placed his hand to his head, he felt like he had been hit by Sakura's punch. He opened his eyes and found he was lying on a cold clean tiled floor. Sitting up he allowed his body to adjust to a new feeling is had never felt before. It was warm and kind of cozy to him, but also it felt strange.

"Are you okay Kit?" The voice asked.

Naruto panned the dim room and felt oddly lost in it. The voice sounded like one he knew, one he'd talked to for a long time. His eyes rested on a gate that oddly seemed so very clean, like it had just been polished. There was one single paper resting in the center of the gate, one of sealing. He stood and began to walk to the gate. "Who...?"

"D'you forget me Kit? Did you lose your memories?" Asked the voice behind the gate.

"No my name is Naruto Uzumaki, I'm 18 and I think I'm crazy." Naruto said. "Why are you behind there? Did you kill someone?"

A clang of metal hitting floor, followed by a whoosh noise meant who ever was beyond that gate had kicked a thing toward him. "Tell him thank you for me..." The voice said.

"Who, and what?" Naruto was still so lost.

"Kit find yourself before you die again, cause honestly I can't take death again." Said the voice.

Naruto bent down and picked up the Kunai that had slid to his feet. When looking at it further he noticed there was an Uchiwa on one side and hidden leaf on the other. "Sas...uke!"

"Well you remember him, now thank him for coming in here and saving our asses." The voice seemed to move closer into the light.

The first thing Naruto saw was a wrapped in band-aid's leg and then a large fox face. "Ky...uubi! Oh man did he!?!" Naruto was back and still to understand how, but he didn't care they were alive.

"Feel that heavy warm feeling?" Kyuubi asked.

"Yeah...!" Naruto simply replied.

"Well he truely loves you, even with me inside you. He wouldn't have just did what he did if he din't." The fox said.

"All we did was have sex, nothing big or anything." Naruto said.

"But that's the point kit, we died from his hand and live off his love." The fox tried to explain. "I'm sure that's why we're alive." Kyuubi said. "Now go I need sleep. And remember thanks."

Naruto smiled and stepped back. "Okay, my friend." And slowly disappeared before the fox's eyes.

Sasuke's dreams toyed with him, as he slept. They might as well have been nightmares all he cared. Cause never again would one of them feel true.

***Sasuke's dream.***

Naruto had been going at a jutsu all day, and honestly Sasuke didn't mind watching the dobe fail. He actually enjoyed it. Resting against the tree he watched with half lidded eyes, for what had to have been the millionth time that day the blonde tried and failed at the jutsu.

"Maybe you need to calm down first." Sasuke suggested. Which held truth, he had always done his best with a cool and level head.

"Shut up teme, I'm calm." Naruto snapped out. Had it not been for Sasuke hanging around, he'd might have given up hours ago.

"Okay, don't say I didn't try to help." Sasuke said as he stood up to leave. He was exhausted and a little hungry.

As Sasuke began to walk away he heard a small pout and his name in a whispered tone. "Please don't leave Sasuke..." Was the words. Then Naruto loudly shouted. "Why don't you show me tough guy? If you think your better then me." He yelled.

Sasuke half stood in his spot from shock and half from the fact he knew the blonde dobe would pull something of the caliber. Turning Sasuke peered at his teammate's face, made to glow like an angel from the setting sun. "Fine I'll show you it once loser, then if you can't do it, go to Kakashi."

Naruto eyes widened and stared, but a huffed out "Fine!" is all he said.

Sasuke stood beside Naruto and did the hand signs, an poofed in a puff of white clouds. Only to reappear in the tree nearby. "Get it now loser...?" He asked from the tree, and then jumped down.

"Okay..." Naruto voiced. Then performed the hand signs. Suddenly he had poofed from the ground to the tree just as Sasuke had done. A loud "Yeah I did it!" erupted over head, as Naruto cheered his new found Jutsu, and jumped to the ground below.

Sasuke suddenly felt arms wrap around him, and a very Naruto "thank you!" in his ear. He stood there as the hug lasted, then said. "Let go of me, loser."

Naruto release Sasuke, who had now began to leave, with hands in pockets. chasing after him he asked. "Why do we have to use hand signs? Kakashi doesn't."

The answer was simple and so Sasuke didn't think it was necessary to make it any more then so. "There Jounin's, we're Genin." And kept walking.

Naruto's "Oh." was the last word that day, before getting to the inn.

***End of dream.***

Sasuke's dream was mean to him, all he felt now was that hug he got all those years ago. It was a dream, but oddly enough he could hear noise not related to the dream at all.

"Just let him sleep Gaara..." Came the first voice.

"Don't you think its best he woke up and saw...?" The second asked.

"Just give him this, this small moment of peace." The first voice again.

"I'm glad your back though." Said a female.

Sasuke's ears were playing tricks on him, and so was his body. Was there an arm on his back rubbing it? or had he lost his mind? And those voice's, he knew two so well, and still one seemed to confuse him so. 'He's dead.' He thought.

"Thump"

A sound in his ear.

"Thump!"

It went on.

"Thump, thump thud!"

Opening his eyes that had seemed to want to stay closed, Sasuke realized he was in the arms of someone. Someone who was breathing, and talking. The heart beat was a strong one, and so was the body. With a moan he slowly picked up his head.

"Oh he's up...then we'll go." Said the second voice.

A sound of a door closing, awoke Sasuke more.

"Your up!" A voice called to him.

"Yeah well I'm..." Sasuke's eyes rested on Naruto's bright blue ones, and suddenly the need to cry again came over him. "I thought you were."

Naruto pulled Sasuke up, and kissed him deeply. Once apart he said simply. "I'm back thanks to you." Then followed it with another long and deep kiss.

The two left a couple days later, both more alive then before. With Suna at there backs, Sasuke spoke in a small voice. "I wonder how we report all this."

Naruto laughed. "We tell the truth. Its not like they wont find out sooner or later. Anyways I'd like to see there face's when they read it." He said.

Little did the two know, it would take them twice as long to get home. Later on Naruto would say Sasuke said they had to take breaks. And Sasuke would insist that Naruto got them lost. When the two knew the real truth.
