Punishment
Hey there everyone, I am back….woohooo…..I just hope that you continue to like this story……I am working hard on it and my schoolwork, so that is why the update are not coming as fast. I am sooo sorry. Any ways, Here is the next Chapter and remember, reviews make Anubis happy! Ja Ne Anubis!
Sasuke looked at the clock for what seemed to be the ninetieth tine. Neji had been back in the operating area for at least two hours and Sasuke was getting restless. Naruto and Kakashi had been there, but left to train some students that Iruka was having problems with. Gai, Lee and Tenten were there, sitting just as nervously as the Uchiha.
Gai stood and smiled at Sasuke. “Neji will be fine,” he said, “He is in the spring of his youth and I am sure that his youthful energy and your love for him will see him through this time of……”
“Gai sensei, thank you,” Sasuke interrupted, “I really appreciate you and the others being here.”
The teacher grinned and then looked at his other students. “I will return with refreshments,” he said, “Do you require anything?”
“No, Gai sensei,” Lee said.
“No thank you sensei,” Tenten said.
Sasuke just shook his head. The teacher left and he sighed. Shizune came out a few minutes after that and smile lightly. She looked tired and stressed. “He is all right now, but we had a minor set back,” she said.
Sasuke stood and looked at her. “What type of minor setback?”
“He had a seizure while the Hokage was working on him,” she said, “No more damage was done and she was able to finish the jutsu, but he will not be able to leave here for at least two weeks, maybe more.”
“Can I see him?”
Shizune shook her head. “Not right now,” she said, “I will let you know when you can go and see him, for now, why don’t you go home and rest.”
The Uchiha nodded and looked at the other two Shinobi that were in the room with him. Tenten rushed towards him and hugged him. “Sasuke, he will be fine,” she whispered, “He is strong and I am sure he will be fine.”
“You said that twice,” Sasuke whispered back.
“I know, I am trying to convince myself.”
Lee looked on sadly and then grinned. “Neji would not want us to be sad,” he said, “We should rejoice, for he was able to survive a very complicated jutsu that could damage the user just as much as the patient.”
Sasuke nodded and smiled a little. “Let me know when I can see him,” he said, “I hate to leave him here like this.”
Shizune nodded. “I know, but he is getting the best possible care and I am sure that all will be fine.”
Nodding again, the raven left the hospital. Shikamaru was waiting for him outside. “How did it go?” he asked lazily.
Sasuke shrugged. “He had a seizure in the middle of it.”
Shikamaru looked up at the sky. “That was to be expected,” he said, “I warned the Hokage that it could happen.”
“You knew?”
“Yeah, the jutsu is working so close to the brain, more people than not have the seizures, it just depends on how bad it was,” the shadow nin said, “But, considering his condition before hand, I would say that it was a decent one that gave them a little scare.”
He looked at the raven and smiled. “He has to stay in for a while, huh?”
Sasuke nodded mutely. Shikamaru grinned even more. “Then at least they think that the jutsu worked,” he said, “If they had thought that it didn’t work, they would have sent him home tomorrow.”
“Really?”
“Yup.”
Smiling, Sasuke thanked Shikamaru and ran back to his apartment. He began to clean to keep himself busy. When that was done, he went out to the practice field hoping to see someone to spar with. Naruto and Kakashi were out there, but they weren’t sparring. “Can’t you two get a room?” Sasuke growled teasingly.
They jumped apart and Naruto stuck his tongue out at Sasuke. “Well, at least I don’t have a psycho girl trying to get me to marry her.”
Sasuke groaned. “She is trying it again?”
Kakashi nodded. “Yeah, she is talking with the Hokage again,” he said, adjusting his mask, “Something about a Shinobi needs someone who can take care of him, not a cripple.”
“Hmm, looks like I have to talk to her, right after I deal with the Hyuuga clan.”
The other two shinobi turned to look where Hiashi, Hinata and Hanabi Hyuuga were walking towards them. Hinata rushed up to Sasuke. “How is Neji?”
“He is in recovery, but I can’t see him and neither can anyone else.”
Hiashi glared at his nephew’s lover. “Sasuke, I am sure that the Hokage would make an exception for his family.”
“Well, you can ask her, but I am the only family he has right now, and she said no to me.”
Hanabi looked between her father and the raven. Hinata was doing the same, only with an angry look on her face. “Enough,” she said, “The Hokage has called us to a meeting, and I am sure that it has something to do with damaging one of the best nin this village has.”
Sasuke smirked. “I also think that it has something to do with the other thing that we have spoken about,” he said.
Hiashi frowned. “No, the Hokage would not want to discuss that when Neji is unable to be there.”
Sasuke shrugged. “It has already been agreed to,” he said, “All I have to do, is have him sign the paperwork that is already waiting for him in the office.”
The Hyuuga leader turned away from the Uchiha heir and stalked off, his daughters following behind. “Guess I have to go,” Sasuke said, “see you guys later.
Naruto laughed as Sasuke walked off. “Well, damn, I am going to miss all of the fireworks,” he said, “That sucks.”
Kakashi leaned on his lover and grinned. “I am sure that I can keep you occupied enough that you would not need to have those fireworks,” he said.
Naruto groaned a little and pulled Kakashi close to him. “You are a little slut, aren’t you?” he growled.
“I am your slut,” Kakashi whispered, “Now take me home and make me beg for your cock.”
Sasuke walked into the office and looked around. Hiashi and his daughters were already there, waiting for him. Tsunade looked at him and smiled. “You will be able to go and see Neji after this meeting,” she said, “He is awake and asking for you.”
The Uchiha nodded and then looked at the other occupants of the room “I am only here to make sure that nothing is changed in the arrangement that we made.”
Tsunade nodded. “Nothing will be changed, I just want to ensure that everything is done legally and all is fair to Neji.”
“I will not stand for this,” Hiashi said, “Neji is a Hyuuga and if he regains his sight, he will be returning to the compound.”
The Hokage shook her head. “No, he will not,” she said, “After this is over, if he agrees to it, he will come in here and sign this paper.”
Sasuke grinned. Hinata looked upset and like she was about to cry. “But, that means that his Byakugan will be sealed,” she said.
“No, his seal will be removed,” Tsunade said, “I am issuing an immediate ruling, no more seals are to be placed on branch family members.”
Hiashi stood, outraged. “How can you make us turn our backs on family tradition?”
The lady stared at the angry man calmly. “Very easily,” she said, “and furthermore, I will have you find a way to remove the seals from all current branch members.”
Hinata began to smile. Sasuke was also smiling. “Now, before we discuss the punishment for placing the village in danger by nearly killing one of the best Shinobi I have,” she said, “I want Sasuke to look over the paperwork and tell me if everything is in order.”
Sasuke looked down at the paperwork and nodded. “Everything is there,” he said, “Now, if he will only agree to it.”
Tsunade smiled. “I think he will, seeing as that he is being given a choice.”
“May I go and see him now?”
“You don’t want to hear the punishment?”
Sasuke sat back down. “Sure, that way I can tell him.”
Tsunade laughed. “All right,” she said, sobering a little, “This is what is going to happen, to ensure the seals are being removed, Shikamaru Nara and Shikaku Nara are being dispatched to the Hyuuga clan home.”
She stopped for a moment and then grinned. “Now, as for the rest of your punishment, you are to pay restitution to Neji for lost wages,” she said, “and you must acknowledge the rest of the clan as equals.”
“You also lose your position in the Village council, until further notice.”
Hiashi frowned and then nodded, “As you wish, Lady Hokage,” he said.
Sasuke grinned and ran from the room. He ran straight for the hospital.
That is all for now. More later….love you all and remember, please review, I love it….feed the author.
