A bond thicker than blood

good morning guys, i thought id put up my last update.

again i should probably disclaim using the name *old boy*, dunno how this disclaimer works and how much we need to do but oh well.

sasunaruluv: yeah i had to introduce some rivalry just to have something else than just Narutos past as an bump in the road to overcome. i have read a couple of stories like that and also decided that it would be the best person for Sasuke to have as a rival in love, well maybe Gaara as well but i decided for Neji since he had dark hair and dark eyes just like Sasuke.

Kats meow: thank you, i really appreciate it. i will try and keep up the good work.

well i probably have some more chapters up today seeing as all my friends decided to leave for the summer holiday and i have to work in order to get money for Hong Kong, but i think i can sacrifice my social life for some days all the more chapters for you guys.

again i will thank my beta reader for reading this chapter last night, or this morning is probably more correct seeing as it was finished at 2 am. you rock, as my friends would say =)

Chapter 14

Naruto and Lee walked in to the library finding Sakura, Choji and Sasuke sitting on the 3rd floor with books and notes all over the table.
Naruto had gotten the notes he had missed from film and media from Sakura and the notes for sports studies off the guys. Choji waved at the boys as they entered making Sakura and Sasuke look up from their studies both smiling at the boys.
Naruto took the chair next to Sasuke and took up his notes, smiling at the dark haired boy who smiled back before burying his head in his history books.

After 2 hours of intense studying they decided to call it a day, the blond’s stomach was making a growling noise telling him that it was about time to eat.
They decided that they should grab some dinner at the cafeteria instead of making it, the thought of having have to cook in the kitchen up in halls wasn’t something Sakura wanted, seeing as how they shared a kitchen with 20 people and the kitchen was so bloody small making it hard to move around when there were only 10 in it.
They all picked what they were eating and put it on a tray before paying and heading for a free table, it was much easier to find one now compared to lunch time when it was always packed in the cafeteria.

After dinner Sasuke had asked Naruto if he wanted to come up to his room and watch a film, or he could show him his collection of manga’s. The blond boy looked at the dark haired boy and raised an eyebrow when he heard the word manga, not something he’s associated with the dark haired boy seeing as he was a history freak.
“What?” Sasuke said looking at him “nothing it’s just I never thought you’d be a person to read manga’s” the blond smiled at him “well I have my little secrets to” he said putting his tray with his dirty plate and glass on to the moving belt.
Choji pulled a bag of chips and began eating, they all looked at him wondering how he managed to fit everything in that stomach of his, he must at least go through about 10 of those a day next to his breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“How do you manage to eat so much Choji?” Lee asked looking at the boy stuffing his face full, “mnotm ah froflem” he said with his mouth full of chips, “Ah Choji, say it don’t spray it” Sakura said getting a disgusted look on her face as she saw the chips fly everywhere. Lee, Naruto and Sasuke just laughed as the chubby boy looked at Sakura with one of those ‘what did I do’ looks.

Lee and Choji lived in the same building, only on different floors and Sasuke lived in the halls just across from Lee and Choji, as they came to the place they needed to part Sakura gave both of them a goodnight hug while reminding Naruto that their class was starting at 11 tomorrow.
He nodded to the pink haired girl shouting across the street that he would be late, she just laughed knowing he would be and that it would be partly Sasuke’s fault for keeping him awake until late.
As Sasuke and Naruto entered the building they met Neji coming up from the TV room with some other boys, “Naruto” he said as he caught glimpse of the blond boy, “Ah Neji” the blond smiled at him “didn’t know you lived in this building!” he added as they approached Neji and the red haired boy.
“Uchiha” Neji said with a ice cold voice, geez seriously what’s his problem sasuke thought. “Hyuga” he responded with the same ice cold voice Neji had.
“I thought you were supposed to be studying Naruto” he said clearly still disappointed that he was here with Sasuke after he had asked him to watch a film.
“Yeah we did we pulled a 2 hour cram session with Sakura and Choji in the library before we got dinner.” Naruto smiled shifting his gaze upon the red haired boy.
“Ah sorry, this is Gaara” Neji introduced the red head to them “this is Naruto and Sasuke.” Gaara gave Naruto a funny look “so this is the one?” he said, and with those words Sasuke finally understood what was Neji’s problem, he wanted Naruto.
“Gaara, shut it” Neji said annoyed, hitting him over the head. “What, I was only asking” Naruto wasn’t sure what was going on but suddenly a tension came floating through the air and in between the boys, the dark haired boy looked directly in to the long black haired boy, his eyes telling him don’t you even dare lay a hand on him Hyuga.
“Let’s go Naruto” the dark haired boy said walking towards the stairs, “we’ll see you tomorrow Neji, nice meeting you Gaara” Naruto said as he followed Sasuke up the stairs.

“Hey don’t walk so fast teme” he said half running after the boy, Sasuke didn’t slow down as he was still angry.
“Hey teme, what’s wrong?” Naruto was panting for air as they stopped in front of Sasuke’s room door. “Look …” Sasuke began a sentence but as his eyes met Naruto’s eyes the anger subsided, the blue eyes had a very calming affect on him, besides it wasn’t Naruto’s fault.
He sighed and shook his head “sorry, never mind. It isn’t important” he smiled at the blond boy who smiled back.
Sasuke opened his door and put on the light and Naruto entered the small bedroom, it had one bed, a desk, 2 shelves and one closet.
“It isn’t as big as your place, hope you don’t mind” Sasuke said tossing his bag on the floor. “Nah its cool, this is my first time stepping in to halls so it’s a fun experience.”
Naruto could hear people shouting in the kitchen. “Yeah they’re having their usual drinking session” Sasuke said “so what do you want to do, film or manga’s?” he asked the blond boy who had made himself comfortable on the bed.
“Hmmm a film” he said. “Have you seen this one yet” the dark haired boy gave him a DVD saying ‘Old boy’, the blond boy starred at the cover for a minute before he shook his head.

The dark haired boy took out his laptop and set everything up so that they could lie on the bed while watching the movie. Then he turned of the light and pressed the play button placing himself next to Naruto on the bed.
Naruto lifted up Sasuke’s arm and put his head on his chest and placing the arm around him, the dark haired boy smiled and put his other arm around the blond boy as well and gave him a hug before his attention was directed towards the movie.

They both watched the movie in silence, it was a very strange movie Naruto thought, not in a bad way but he didn’t fully understand it.
As the credits came on Sasuke shifted a little before he spoke, “Naruto, you still awake?” he asked the boy lying in his arms.
“Yeah not tired yet” he answered back sitting up a little “what’s the time?” Sasuke tried looking at his watch but the light from the laptop wasn’t enough since the credits were always rolled on a black background, so he got up and turned on the light before looking at his watch a second time.
“Ten to 11” he said, got another hour until the last subway leaves, he thought “Naruto?” Sasuke sat down next to him “ah sorry just thought when the last subway was leaving.” Naruto could see the disappointment in Sasuke’s eyes when he said the last word. Suddenly an awkward silence came over the room, Naruto thought about the kiss they had shared in the boys’ toilet. He wasn’t really sure if Sasuke liked him, well he knew that Sasuke liked him or else he wouldn’t be hanging around him, but if he liked him in that way.
However he was to afraid to ask afraid he might offend Sasuke, but then again he really wanted to know because Naruto had never really liked any one more than just a friend.
Yeah when he though about it, it was actually the first time he had admitted to himself that he liked Sasuke more that just a friend. As Ino had thrown herself around Sasuke’s he had felt jealous that she could so easily do that and told himself that she needed to take her arms away from Sasuke’s neck.
“ano, Sasuke?” he swallowed before continuing “hmm … do you like me? I mean more than just a friend” the blond blushed and didn’t look at the dark haired boy next to him.
Sasuke only starred at him surprised by his question. Realising that the blond was waiting for an answer he cleared his throat “I wouldn’t have kissed you if I didn’t” he said smiling, “but we did it as kids and well you said we were only friends back then and …”
“Well that was back then when I really didn’t know what these kind of feelings meant.” Sasuke kept smiling as Naruto searched his face to see if he could find any hint of insincerity, but found none, and he relaxed a little.
“Do you like me more than just a friend?” the dark haired boy asked, seeing the blond’s face go beet red and looking down at his feet before he nodded.
“Well then at least we know where we stand” Sasuke said tilting his head so he could see the blond’s face. “Where we stand” Naruto didn’t quite understand, “yeah, you like me and I like you. So from now on you are my boyfriend” the dark haired boy said with confident making Naruto’s face redder then he’s thought possible.

Boyfriend Naruto thought, he tasted the word before he looked at Sasuke, I am Sasuke’s boyfriend. He liked the sound of that; it was a nice feeling knowing he was someone else’s.
“Naruto can I kiss you again?” the dark haired boy asked, the blond looked up at Sasuke and nodded and Sasuke leaned forward kissing Naruto’s soft lips.
The dark haired boy let his tongue glide over the other boys lip asking permission to enter, and the blond boy happily complied opening his mouth feeling Sasuke’s warm tongue as it began playing with his.
They broke the kiss but only for a second to get a gasp of air before they continued. The kissed became more passionate and Sasuke gently pushed the sitting boy down on to the bed, the blond boy moaned into the kiss as Sasuke moved his hand down Naruto’s torso.
Naruto could feel he was getting hard from Sasuke’s kisses, and the dark haired boy moved his mouth down to the blond’s neck kissing it gently. Then they both moaned as their erection was pressed against each other, Sasuke was lost in Naruto’s scent and began moving his hand under the blond’s jumper and t-shirt.
But as soon as he felt the other boy’s hand on his bare skin Naruto flinched “s-stop S-Sasuke” he pulled down his jumper trying to break free from under Sasuke.
Sasuke looked at the blond who displayed fear in his beautiful blue eyes “Naruto?” He felt guilty now, his lust had taken control and he had forgotten how sensitive the blond was to being touched.
“I’m sorry Naruto, I lost control.” He didn’t want the blond boy to be scared of him touching him so he needed to at least try and calm down his lust for the blond.
“I’m sorry. I-I’m j-just not r-ready yet” Sasuke smiled and nodded in understanding.
“You don’t have to be sorry. I’ll wait until you’re ready.”
The blond boy relaxed a little but he was still holding on to his jumper “w-we c-can still k-kiss” he asked the dark haired boy who began smiling from ear to ear, “of course.”
Naruto looked at Sasuke’s clock trying to figure out what the time was but it was hard to read it upside down “oh I just lost my last subway” he sighed, “well you can always just sleep here, I promise I won’t do anything to you” Sasuke held up his arm showing him that he was serious, making the blond laugh.
“Promise” Sasuke nodded. “Can I at least sleep in you arms” the blond asked “it was so warm and nice last time.” Naruto added looking at Sasuke with puppy dog eyes, the dark haired boy couldn’t say no to those eyes and began undressing until he stood only in his boxers. Naruto took the hint and undressed as well, but unlike Sasuke he left his t-shirt on.
Unlike Sasuke he had lost his smooth skin as it was now covered in scars and he was too afraid that Sasuke would see the scars and feel disgusted.
Sasuke wrapped his arms around the blond boy and gave him a goodnight kiss before they both fell asleep.
