Hidden Love

The next morning Lee left Gaara for a moment to get his books then blinked hearing Riku suddenly yelling obviously to Gaara. "Tu es fou!? Tu es une pute!! Comment pourriez-vous tricher un moi??" (Note: Are you crazy?! You are a dick! How could you cheat on me??) Riku yelled his arms waving around at he yelled at Gaara.

Gaara flinched and picked up his notebook and stood up from his spot next to the tree. "Riku? I didn't! What are you talking about?" He asked and Naruto winced from his spot on a bench next to Kiba. 'Oh fuck...' He thought.

"Naruto told me.. he saw you and Lee kissing.. I cannot believe you... you.. you told me that you would not go back to him... that your crush had been over for a long time.." Riku said his voice quieting since some tears filled his eyes now.

"I...I was trying to calm him down he was having a break down...Riku please you got to understand.." Gaara said reaching out to set his hand on Riku's shoulder. Naruto bowed his head a little feeling like a jerk, he hadn't meant to tell Riku it just kind of slipped out...'Great now I got them into a fight.' He thought.

"Je n'y crois pas à ces conneries! You do not kiss someone to calm them down!" (Note: I'm not buying that bullshit! ) Riku yelled and he raised his hand pissed off at the moment and slapped Gaara across the face. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he glared at Gaara. Lee noticed this and quickly ran over. "Hey what is going on?" He asked.

Gaara stood there for a moment feeling his own eyes tear up and turned running away and easily hopping over the fence. 'T-The moment something g-good happens in my l-life something always goes wrong!' He thought not realizing he had left his backpack and his notebook under the tree. He didn't want to be at school if his heart was breaking. Naruto started to make his way over. 'Oh shit...having someone close hit him is something Gaara can't handle..' Naruto thought wincing.

"Riku! What is wrong with you?" Lee asked. The older male yelled at him, "You! You are what is wrong!! You ruined my relationship with Gaara!" Riku yelled and turned storming off. Lee felt so confused but leaned down and picked up Gaara's backpack and his note book. "Naruto.. what is going on..?" He asked when the blond came over.

Naruto looked at the ground guilt easily being seen in his eyes. "I kinda accidentally told Riku...that I saw Gaara kiss you...I don't know what I was thinking..I was just so mad...I'm so sorry." The blond said then blinked looking at Gaara's notebook. "Uh...you should give that to me.." He said reaching over to take it.

Lee stared at his friend and backed up. "No... why would you do something like that Naruto..?" Lee asked keeping the note books out of his reach since now he did not really trust his friend all that much.

"I'm sorry!...I really didn't mean to do that...I hate seeing Gaara cry...I guess I was jealous..." Naruto muttered and leaned on his crutch staring at the ground.

"... Jealous? Why would you be jealous Naruto?" Lee asked and he slung Gaara's backpack over his shoulder.

Naruto sighed then looked up at Lee. "I like Gaara...a lot more than a friend ok?...I got jealous at how happy Gaara was around you...it takes a lot for me to get him to smile and for you...he smiles right away.." He replied then sweat dropped a little. "Uh...you should really give me that notebook." He added.

"Naruto... I had no clue.." Lee said but then blinked and backed up. "No I'm going to go give it to Gaara.. I will talk to you later about this ok..?" Lee said to him and ran off in the direction of Gaara's house. While he was walking there Lee got a bit curious and opened up the note book starting to read through it. He found that it was Gaara's journal and the last entries really got to him. They spoke about last night and all that had happened, how much he loved Lee and Lee felt his heart warm then sink. Riku got hurt because of him. Naruto was hurting because of him, could he really accept Gaara's love? When he reached Gaara's house he sighed having to go around and try and slip through the area he used as a kid.

Gaara was sitting at their old spot at the pond and was throwing little bits of fish food in for the Koi swimming around. 'I wonder if my day could get any worse..' He thought and then got annoyed with how long it was taking and dumped the whole bag in the water the fish spazing out.

Lee got stuck again in the gate however and frowned. "Oh come on... uhh Gaara-kun!" He yelled out hoping the younger boy was outside nearby and could hear his yells for assistance.

Gaara ran his sleeve over his eyes then blinked when he heard Lee yelling. "Eh..?" He got up and walked over to where he heard the yell and blinked seeing him caught in the fence. "Well this is a blast from the past." He said walking over and helping Lee get free from the fence.

"Thank You Gaara-kun..." Lee said and went to hug Gaara as he did when he was little but this time he succeeded. "Gaara-kun.. I am so sorry... I ruined everything for you.." He then muttered embracing the boy tightly and burring his head into his hair.

Gaara blinked and wrapped his arms around the older male and hugged him tightly. "Lee...it's ok you didn't do anything wrong...How did you know I went home?" He asked and blinked noticing Lee had his backpack. "Oh my bag..thank you."

"I guessed.." Lee admitted and he rest his head into Gaara's hair breathing in. "I have this too.." Then he said and held the notebook up. "I am sorry.. I read it... is.. is it true you love me..?" He asked his voice smaller not really wanting Gaara to hear him.

Gaara's eyes widened and he pulled back so he could look at him. "Y-Y-You see I...I uh..." The redhead blushed and slipped out of his arms. 'Oh shit..oh shit! He is gonna be disgusted with me...why did I have to forgot my notebook?! I don't want to lose Lee to...' He thought starting to panic a little. "Y-Your not m-mad r-right..." He said looking down.

Lee gently cupped Gaara's face and tilted it up to look into those green eyes he enjoyed seeing so much throughout his life. "I feel the same way.." He breathed out voice barely audible as his eyes closed and he leaned in. His full lips pressed against Gaara's soft ones in a loving kiss.

The redhead felt his heart skip a beat and gripped tightly onto Lee's jacket. 'D-Did he just say t-that...he l-loves me??' He thought and closed his eyes kissing the one he had never thought would like him in a million years back.

After a moment Lee pulled back from the kiss and he blushed a little. "I always have.. Sakura.. she just told me that it is wrong.. but screw her.. I will admit it.. I love you.. I love you so much it hurts.." The older male started to stroke Gaara's cheek but then froze hearing a loud howling noise. "What is t-" Lee got cut off as a giant Saint Bernard came out of no where and tackled Lee down to the ground, starting to drool all over his face while laying on him.

"Toboe! No down boy get off him!" Gaara yelled moving over and trying to push his dog off the older male. "S-Sorry he does that a lot." He said pulling a cloth out of his back pocket and handing it to Lee. He couldn't focus on his dog though his mind going over what Lee said. 'W-Wow...He really said it...my heart won't stop pounding..' He thought setting a hand on his chest feeling like he was in a dream.

Toboe whined a little and rolled off of the taller boy who was on the floor. He got up and walked over to Gaara's feet laying down and flopping onto his side showing his chest a little asking to be pet. Lee laughed lightly and sat up whipping his face. "I like this pet better than Bob," He admitted and got up dusting himself off.

Gaara laughed a little and knelt down rubbing his dogs stomach. "Heh...both my pets like you." He said and looked up at Lee and started blushing again. "I uh...just how much of my notebook did you read?" He asked sounding a little awkward. 'I had wrote down a lot of my dreams in there...' He thought and started to playfully mess up his dogs fur.

Lee smiled a little then blinked, "Oh I uh read it all.." Then he blushed a little and looked away from the redhead. Toboe whimpered and wiggled around, enjoying the attention. Then he rolled back over and jumped up his tail wagging and smacking Lee in the leg hard and the older boy almost fell, "Ah! careful boy," He said patting the dog on the head.

Gaara turned red and pulled his hat down over his face. "A-All o-of it??...U-Um...t-this is uh awkward.." He said his voice sounding a little muffled. 'Good thing I didn't bring my other notebooks today...oh god this is sooo embarrassing..' He thought and sweat dropped a little when he heard his dog bugging Lee again.

"Uh.. yeah.." Lee said and smiled when Toboe licked him then gently bit Lee's sleeve and tug him over to Gaara then he pushed his head into Lee's back. Lee was pushed into Gaara and he blushed looking back at the dog, "U-Uhh Toboe s-stop it.." He said since the dog was now pushing Gaara and Lee back into the bench.

Gaara got even redder and lowered his head gasping as he almost fell back. "T-Toboe what are you doing?" He asked giving a confused look to his dog then awkwardly grabbed onto Lee's jacket again to try and keep his balance. "W-What uh...w-were you thinking w-when you were r-reading that..?" He looked up at Lee feeling extremely embarrassed.

"A-Awkward..." Lee confessed then he looked away. "Uh..T-Toboe!" Lee suddenly yelled when the dog playfully bumped him and sent both him and Gaara falling onto the bench. The dog barked and his tail wagged happily as he sat down and drooled looking at the two. "Ow.. S-Sorry.."

Gaara yelped when they fell over then was sure he was matching his hair now. "I-It's o-o-ok.." He stuttered and lifted a hand to rub the back of his head. "Owww...w-what has g-gotten i-into you Toboe?" The redhead muttered trying to see where his dog was.

Toboe seemed to grin and he got up hearing his name coming over and licking all over both Gaara and Lee's faces. "Bleh," Lee complained and laughed pulling away from the dog. "He slobbers a lot," The boy said playfully and sat up only to turn red realizing he was still on Gaara and he got off of him.

"Gah dang dog.. he drools a lot which is way I carry a cloth in my back pocket.." Gaara said whipping his face off with his sleeve, he sat up and glanced at Lee before shyly looking down. "Um...do you w-want to stay for lunch?" He asked and stared down at his lap feeling to awkward to met Lee's gaze.

"My dad is probably going to be upset that I am skipping school but ok," Lee said and walked over not being able to help himself and he kissed Gaara lightly. "Sorry it just feels right kissing you..." Lee commented and smiled.

Gaara blushed deeply and smiled back shyly, he then stood up and hesitated for a moment before stepping in close to him and hugging Lee tightly. "I-It's alright...thanks for leaving school for me..." He said and laid his head on the older male's chest.

"Of course Gaara-kun... I care for you..." Lee said and smiled picking Gaara up bridal style and he started to carry him inside. "Hold on," He said softly. Toboe started barking a little seeing Lee pick up Gaara and he walked along side him jumping up a little bit.

"L-LEE!! P-Put me d-down!" Gaara yelled blushing dark and quickly wrapped his arms around his neck. He got even more embarrassed seeing one of the maids was in the hallway giving them a confused look. He sweat dropped watching his dog running around on the marble floor and cleared his throat. "D-Do you l-like making me t-turn red or s-something?" He asked looking up at Lee.

"Hm.. you look kind of cute when you are like that..." He said and kissed the side of Gaara's head only to turn red seeing a butler cough and look confused at them. "Sir Gaara, would you like me to inform the chiefs to prepare lunch for you and your friend since you are home early?" He asked and Lee awkwardly set Gaara down.

Gaara coughed then gave a small nod. "Y-Yes that would be fine, thank you." He said and glanced at Lee. "Uh nothing super fancy ok? Are my siblings home?" He asked and stuffed his hat in his pocket before folding his arms. "Toboe get back here!" He said watching his dog run around in the hallway.

"Understood and afraid not Sir. They sent a letter for you today though," The butler said and handed Gaara an envelope before going away. Toboe jumped hearing the yell then got too excited and ran over tackling Gaara down and he started licking him happily. Lee tried not to laugh to hard and got confused when a maid walked over. "Sir do you want me to put him back in his kennel? You know your father has been trying to get him to stop that.."

Gaara laughed and turned his head to the side so his dog was not licking his mouth. "Hahaha..if you can restrain him then you can I don't want him trying to eat my tarantula again." He said with a sweat drop and tried to push his dog off him. "Lee can you help me?" He said whipping his face off again.

Lee went to get the dog but the maid shook her head. "No, No I got it," She muttered and grabbed onto the dogs collar, "Toboe come on.." The maid obviously was struggling but she would not allow Lee to help her and she finally got the dog off of Gaara and started dragging him away occasionally tripping because the dog was trying to drag back to Gaara. "Ow Toboe!" The maid yelled and the dog's tail fell flat and he whined starting to follow her as she dragged him outside. "It is weird to have a woman yell at me for trying to help her.." Lee admitted and sweat dropped then watched the dog go away. "Your dad is kind of mean you know that.." He couldn't help but add.

The redhead got up and then looked at the floor. "Yeah..." He muttered and grabbed Lee's sleeve and started to lead him to the dining room so they could eat. "Ada is just a tough maid who puts up with a lot of crap from my siblings." He added shrugging slightly.

"Oh.." Lee said and he followed Gaara into the dining room and gulped looking at the huge table. "Uhh where do we sit..?" He questioned and stood next to Gaara. But when he noticed three servants setting up the table over in a corner he took that as their area to sit and gently started tugging Gaara over to that area.

Gaara blinked then shyly slide his hand into Lee's once the people left the room leaving them alone for the moment. "Sorry if this is making you uncomfortable..but just be yourself alright?" He said feeling Lee was a little tense.

"No I am sorry.. I am just still not used to this.." Lee muttered and leaned close to Gaara resting his head on the redhead's shoulder. A little while later a maid came in and poured them both some root beer in nice glasses before setting a fancy looking plate of macaroni and cheese.

"See? Simple food, I don't like to eat really fancy stuff...though what they make you eat at the school scares me sometimes.." Gaara said and gave a small smile before starting to eat feeling really hungry since he left before lunch.

"I guess.. still looks better than what I eat at my home.." Lee stated and poked at the food with his fork before starting to eat and he grinned a little. "It tastes delicious though.." He couldn't help but say and he glanced at Gaara.

Gaara smiled a little then playfully flicked a little bit of cheese at Lee. "I'm glad you like it, it's my favorite." He replied then took a sip of his soda still thinking about what Lee said outside before his dog had tackled him. After a long silence Gaara finely spoke. "Naruto was telling me we should start our own group...what do you think?" He asked.

"I think it would be best because Sakura diffidently will not allow me back and I do not want to go back.." Lee said and laughed lightly wiping the cheese off and he took a sip of his soda as well. "So uh... how long can I stay today..?" Lee questioned looking away from Gaara embarrassed to ask to spend the night again because of what had happened last time.

Gaara smiled and scooted his chair close to Lee so he could hug the older males arm. "Well...I can't say I am not happy since now I get to spend as much time as I want with you.." He said happily then blushed and let go of him. "S-Sorry...um a-and as long as you like...I am not going back to school today.." He mumbled awkwardly rubbing his elbow.

"No no... It is ok.." Lee said and his smile turned into a grin again. When they were done eating he stood up and was about to ask if Gaara wanted to watch a movie but changed his mind and quickly asked something different. "Do you want to play a video game?" He inquired.

Gaara finished the rest of his soda then stood up. "Sure...oh and you are holding Bob this time." He said smirking and led Lee up to his room; he unlocked his door and walked into the room. "Oh my window is open." He said walking over and shutting it. "Heh that old tree is still there I remember when you had to help me down when we were little." He said and leaned on the wall next to his pet's pen.

"You almost fell a lot though," Lee said and smirked a little at Gaara sticking his tongue out. Then he gulped looking at Bob. "Alright... but only for a bit.." He said obviously a bit freaked out and he moved over holding his hands out ready for Gaara to place one of his only fears on his hand.

Gaara stuck out his tongue back at him then moved the lid off and picked up his spider. "Relax he never bites." He said and set his pet in Lee's hands. He stood beside him in case Bob fell and set a hand on Lee's shoulder. "See? Harmless." He added smiling again.

Lee shivered a little because Bob was moving a little in his hand before settling down and he let out a long breath he had been holding. "I guess it is okay.." He murmured before leaning into Gaara a little wanting some bit of comfort. Lee was yes strong and usually never afraid of anything, but spiders really got to him.

Gaara watched Lee for a moment before getting on his tip toes and kissing Lee on the cheek. "He is fuzzy huh? It tickles when he walks around." He said not able to help himself and snuggle a little into Lee's side. Knowing that Lee had feelings for him and was wanting to be close made Gaara want to snuggle. 'I'm a bit worried though...I don't want to be hurt again...Riku said he would never harm me and he slapped me...' He thought sighing deeply. "Just don't breath on him and he will sit still..they hate when air is blown on them.." He muttered.

"Oh kay.." Lee muttered then he couldn't take it anymore. "T-Take him please..." He mumbled looking awkward and slightly terrified at the same time. When Gaara took the spider and put it away he smiled and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you sorry.."

Gaara laughed a little and pulled two bean bags out from the corner of his room and dropped one behind Lee, he stepped up close to him making him think he was gonna kiss him before shoving him back into the bean chair. "There you go." He said playfully and laughed again. 'No harm in messing with him a little.' He thought and walked over setting everything set up then tossed Lee the controller.

Lee had been so happy about possibly getting a kiss though and frowned when Gaara pushed him back into the bean bag. "Oh no you do not.." Lee said and reached up grabbing onto Gaara's sweat shirt and tugging him down. He didn't think about it until Gaara was on him and he blushed. "Uh.. I only want a kiss.." He informed just to let Gaara know he wasn't doing anything too bad.

Gaara blushed a dark red and set his hands on Lee's shoulder's. "O-Ok.." He stuttered and shyly pecked him on the lips getting embarrassed. He blinked and moved one of his hands onto Lee's chest. "Your l-like a human heater your s-so warm.." He said tilting his head cutely to the side.

Lee blushed a little looking at Gaara and feeling his hands on his chest and he had to gulp and look away. "U-uh.. thank you I guess.. You can sit in my lap while we play if you want.." Lee told the redhead and he shifted awkwardly, letting go of him.

Gaara gave a awkward look then slowly sat down on Lee's lap. "Y-You s-sure this is alright?" He asked and felt his heart beating faster, he straighten out the older males jacket. "I never thought you would ever like me...I'm still trying to get used to the idea..." He said looking off to the side. 'GAH! Why am I being shy? I wasn't this shy around Riku..' He thought.

Lee wrapped his arms around the smaller boy's petite waist and grabbed his controller resting his arms on Gaara's legs. "It is alright I do not mind.." Lee muttered yet he was still a little embarrassed and he waited patiently for Gaara to get the game loaded and set up.

"Alright..lets see how well you play this game." Gaara said and awkwardly leaned back on Lee's chest, he almost felt like a child when he compared how different their sizes were. He rested his head back on Lee's chest and stretched a little.

Lee tried to calm his heart beat feeling as if the redhead could hear the loud ba dump noise it was making. "U-Uhh I think I have played this before it is alright.." Lee murmured to the redhead and he tried to resist just snuggling the smaller boy right there instead of playing the game.

Gaara reached up and playfully pushed pause on the controller. "I kinda left off on a random place so good luck." He said and sweat dropped when Bob hit the side of his pen again. "Damn it! I wish he wouldn't do that I always worry he is gonna hurt himself." He muttered.

"Then put padding on the glass," Lee said with a laugh then started playing the game. However halfway through he was noticing that Gaara was moving around a lot because he was awkward. Of course Lee had to bite his tongue not wanting to upset the smaller boy but soon it was causing a problem and he shifted himself really hoping the smaller boy could not feel anything and that he could relax unlike the night before. "Gaara-kun... stop moving around so much.." He finally complained.

The redhead blushed and shrugged. "S-Sorry...I'm just not used to sitting in someone's lap...do you want me to get up?" He asked and started to get off the older males lap. 'Why do I keep having to get so awkward so easily.' He thought biting his lip a little.

"No.. It is ok you j-just need to stop moving.." Lee said and complained, gently tightening his arms around the smaller boy that he was liking so much. "I like holding you.." He pointed out and shifted a bit to relax.

Gaara blushed darker and lightly set his hands on Lee's. "R-Really?...You are rather comfy.." He replied and shyly nuzzled his head under Lee's chin.
