Chapter 16: Lilly
Chapter 16: Lilly
For the remaining of the week that the girls spent at the Hot Springs Naruto had been very weak and remained in bed the entire time. Each of the three girls took turns looking after him the entire time. On the last day of the vacation Sakura said, “Tsunade-sama I do not believe that Naruto is ready to return to the village. I think it would be better for him to slowly readjust to the world now that he is no longer Kyuubi. I am more afraid of him being the center of attention within the village when he is not ready for it.”
“Who is not ready to return Naruto or you? Or is it that you want more one on one time with him huh…Sakura” said Tsunade.
A couple of hours later Naruto woke up and Sakura was sitting beside the bed. “Sakura where is everyone and what is going on?”
“Relax Naruto, Shizune and Tsunade have already left and went back to the village. It’s just the two of us now”.
“What about Sasuke did we get him back to the village?”
“Yes thanks to your efforts and sacrifice we were able to bring back Sasuke to the village. However ever since he returned to the village he just wasn’t the same as he was before. He even had the nerve to ask me to marry me and he even asked me to bear his children. Also a little while ago he even killed several members of the village.”
“But I thought you would have been happy that he had returned to you. That was the reason I allowed Kyuubi to take over because there was nothing left for me back in the village. Why did you try and find me I was at peace with Kyuubi?”
“Of all the things you have to say for yourself you self righteous bastard. You never thought of the people that you would leave behind, did you”, said Sakura as she began to cry.
“I didn’t mean to hurt anyone you yourself were in love with Sasuke and I had no one that loved me. I have always been alone and I will always be alone. The people of the village probably still see me as a demon and nothing more. I have no family the only person who would ever consider me family is Tsunade, so don’t ever criticize me again Sakura you know nothing about me still”.
Sakura felt she had enough verbal abuse from Naruto and slapped him across the cheek which sent him flying to the other side of the room. After he regained himself he started to rub his cheek and said, “Does that make you feel a little better, why in the hell did you do that to me, you little bitch?”
Sakura stopped crying and began to crack her knuckles, “Why indeed Naruto if you insist on using such foul language to me and in front of me I will be forced to reeducate you. Now that this is settled why don’t you get dressed so we can leave this place”, said Sakura.
After nearly half an hour Naruto emerges from the room in a white shirt and a pair of black shorts. “Sorry about the clothes all of your possessions are back in the village boxed up in the Central Office Building. We didn’t feel the need to go back and get them while we were on vacation. Oh and one more thing we will not be going back to the village for a little while so just relax.”
“Sakura how many people know that I am back to normal?”
“Only a few know that you have returned back to your original form. Now we need to get going…”
Naruto butted in and said, “Where are we going Sakura, back to the village I want to see everyone again.”
Sakura hit him on the top of his head and said, “Stop talking when I am talking alright. Now then we are going to go to the Sand Village and meet up with Gaara.” She then knelt down and kissed him on his cheek and in a soft gentle voice said, “Are you ready to go now?”
Naruto fell down and began turn red and said, “What if I do not want to go Sakura?”
Sakura formed the tiger had seal and said, “Well if you don’t want to go then I will just have to give you ‘a thousand years of pain’”.
Naruto jumped up off the ground and landed on a tree limb nearly thirty feet in the air and yelled, “OK…OK You win Sakura I will go”.
She could only look up at him in disbelief ‘How in the hell did he manage to jump all the way up there while sitting down.
Naruto and Sakura traveled for almost a week and a half and reached The Village Hidden in the Sand. When the two reached the gates of the village the two jounin guards stopped them as they approached. One of the guards said, “Stop who goes there”.
Sakura replied, “I am Sakura Haruno and this is Naruto Uzumaki we are here to see the Kazekage. He should be expecting us otherwise inform Temari that we are here.”
“Wait right here so that we can confirm with the others” said one of the guards as he left.
A few minutes later the gates opened up and the first person to greet the two ninja was a red haired man with a smaller black haired kunoichi at his side. “Naruto it is good to see you again. The last time I saw you; you were fifty feet tall and had nine tails. I am glad to see that you have returned back to yourself again” he then stood next to him and gave him a big hug.
“Gaara it is good to see you again and believe me it seems like a lifetime ago that we last met. So tell me Gaara who is this lovely lady that was standing next to you?”
Gaara broke the embrace and went to stand next to the kunoichi and said, “Naruto, Sakura this is my fiancé Lilly. We had planned on getting married when you finally returned or died. However now that you are here we can get married. Naruto it had always been my intention to have you be my best man at my wedding. So do you accept the job?”
“Of course I will accept, Gaara. When will the wedding be?”
“Tomorrow”, said Gaara.
In order to jump in Sakura said, “So then I take it you got the message”.
“Oh Sakura I did not see you there, but yes I did receive a message from your Hokage. I believe the messenger is a little tied up at the moment with Temari. Now then Kankuro will take you to the guest house so you can get some rest. Tomorrow we will have a wedding.”
Everyone left from the gates and went to their homes to get some rest.
