Chapter 16: Twins!

“Naruto?” Sakura poked at the blonde’s shoulder to gain his attention, as he seemed spaced out.

“Are? (Huh?)” He blinked a few times before looking into bright green eyes.

“Naruto, are you alright?” Kakashi asked from behind the pink-haired medic. The silver-haired nin was lending a supportive hand to Sasuke, who seemed very confused.

“I´m fine… Kyuubi… She explained it to me!” he said calmly. “She made it happen and will help me to stay pregnant ´til I´m… eh… due.” He grinned shyly at her.

“But how and why are you pregnant? And who’s the father?” the medic asked. She had not been aware of Sasuke´s reaction since she had had all of her focus on the blonde.

“I´m… I´m going… to be… a father?” She jerked her head around at the Uchiha´s surprised words.

“What?! You’re responsible for this, Sasuke-kun?” Sakura said in disbelief. Her heart ached as she realized the connection between her two former teammates. Sasuke and Naruto… were… lovers?

“Oh God!” she whispered. She knew that Sasuke had never shown any interest in her or any other girl… but still she had never lost hope that he would eventually fall for her.

“That night? The Sexy no Jutsu?” Sasuke made his way to his blonde on shaking legs and dropped down on the bed next to his Kitsune. He wrapped his arms around Naruto´s slender shoulders and looked into his beautiful blue eyes.

“Yeah… She’s a clever fox after all!” Naruto said as he looked a bit concerned for the Uchiha´s reaction to it all.

“You had sex while you used that Jutsu?” Kakashi chuckled with amusement. “Heh… heh! Well it only takes once to get pregnant!” That comment earned him a glare from his three former students.

“Why would the demon fox do something like that?” Sakura sighed, still very shaken from all the new information she had received that day. This was not what she had expected. She had only come to celebrate Sasuke twentieth birthday.

“… She knew about Sasuke´s dream to rebuild his clan! And she knew that his birthday was coming up…” Naruto gave his dark-haired lover a hesitant smile.

“She kinda likes me and knows how much I… love Sasuke and want to make him happy. I guess she wanted to do something nice for us.” Sasuke´s expression changed at his lover’s whispering words. His crimson eyes widened as he realized what all of this meant.

“I´m going to be a father… we are going to have a real… family!” His lips turned into a small but happy smile.

“I love you, Naruto… and I love that sly fox of yours too!” He embraced the blonde and kissed him lovingly. He felt like jumping all over the room of sheer happiness, but an Uchiha didn’t do jumping of joy. He restrained his happiness to a warm and loving smile that made his dark eyes shine.

“Happy birthday, Sasuke!” The blonde whispered as their lips parted.

“This and that you are here with me is the best present I could ever get, Naruto!” he whispered to his blonde lover.

“Awww! So cute ne Sakura-chan?” Kakashi chuckled as he saw the pink-haired girls pale expression as her two former teammates kissed.

“Oh God!” She blushed at their open display of emotions and turned away. She was angry, disappointed and her heart was in turmoil.

Sakura had always been in love with Sasuke and Naruto was like a big brother to her. She had always wanted both of them to become happy… just not with each other.

“Congratulations to both of you! I´m happy for you,” Kakashi smiled underneath his mask. “This changes a lot of things, ne Sasuke-kun?” He liked the idea that a man could be pregnant and he was happy that Naruto and Sasuke finally got their share of happiness.

“Yes it does, sensei… it really does!” Sasuke couldn’t restrain himself from softly patting the blonde’s stomach. He grinned as he received a small growl from his lover.

“Hey! I´m not a girl and I´m only in my fourth week!” Naruto pouted.

“Better get used to it, Dobe. Because I’ll do this a lot in the future!” the Otokage teased as he once more claimed the blonde’s sweet lips.

“I suggest we call Tsunade… She should have a look at you, Naruto-kun,” the pink-haired medic said with a sigh.

“Why? I have very skilled medics here and you are here as well, Sakura!” the raven-haired said.

“Tsunade is the best medic there is… and probably the best suited to examine a pregnant male!”

“No! She’ll force Naruto to return to Konoha with her… I won’t allow that. Naruto belongs with me!” Sasuke felt anger build up inside of him. How dared she spoil his and Naruto´s happiness like that… he wouldn’t forgive her for that!

“Let her come, Sakura!” Naruto said with a sigh. “I know that you are just as good as Baa-chan… but I do understand why you want her to take over. She won’t force me to go back with her… of that I´m sure!” he added as he looked her into anger filled green eyes.

“I’ll send her a bird then!” she replied coldly, turning to leave the room. She was glad that at least Naruto had been able to see that this was hard on her.

“I’ll never allow Tsunade or anyone else to take Naruto away from me!” Sasuke said firmly as she walked towards the door.

She had loved Sasuke for so many years and now all her hopes for a future with him were definitely gone. As she stepped through the door something suddenly struck her. Had Sasuke been into boys all along?

Kankurou sighed as he saw Gaara’s wry expression. He had been like that since he had returned from the meeting with the blonde fox yesterday.

“Gaara, you have to decide what to do soon. It´s almost time for the Uchiha´s birthday party and I´m sure that Naruto-kun is waiting for an answer,” the painted nin said.

“I know!” was the only reply from the Kazekage. He wanted to help Naruto to become happy. He loved the blonde more than anyone could imagine, but he also hated the Uchiha and kinda had the urge to hurt him.

Then there was the fact that he didn’t want to pick a fight with Tsunade-sama... It wasn't that he feared a war with Konoha or her wrath (Gaara didn’t fear anything,) but he knew that there was a lot more at stake here than Naruto and Sasuke´s relationship. The ink on the peace treaty that the six hidden villages had recently signed was still wet and Otogakure was regarded with suspicion.

If there was any other solution than to threaten the Hokage to give up on Naruto he would rather use that option.

Sasuke seemed to love the blonde just as much as Gaara to risk the fragile peace to stay with the one he loved.

To risk the safety of his city, his people and his title for love…Yes… the Uchiha was definitely in love… Gaara knew because he had been willing to do the same… to give up everything to be with Naruto.

“I need to see Naruto!” Gaara suddenly turned towards the door and left the room. He had to ask the blonde a couple of questions… and the damn Uchiha as well. He had to see if they were serious about their relationship… and through that he would make his decision on what to do.

Kankurou leaned back in his chair and sighed as he saw his little brother walk off.
“He really has to get laid soon… Too much tension!”

“I´m really going to become a father!” Sasuke said with pride still hugging Naruto close to his heart. “That means you’re gonna be a mommy,” he said with a smirk.

“Teme, that’s not funny! “ the blonde growled, but actually he wasn’t angry at all… in fact he was just as happy as Sasuke. They would have a family of their own… a real family.

“So how are you going to give birth, Naruto-kun?” Kakashi asked with an amused tone.

Both teens turned their attention towards their former sensei. They hadn’t really thought about that yet.

“You could use the Sexy no Jutsu and give birth the normal way or we could do a Caesarean operation!” The three males turned their attention to the pink-haired girl who had just entered the room.

“A Caesa… what?” the blonde asked in confusion.

“We make a small cut on your stomach and remove the child surgically… It´s a well used procedure and won’t leave much of a scar… “ she explained calmly.

Slowly Sakura was accepting Sasuke and Naruto´s relationship. They seemed so happy together, that she couldn’t stay angry with them. She really wanted to stay a part of their lives, even if it was only as a friend.

“Oh!” the blonde exclaimed. He felt a hand on his own clenching hands and looked up to see that Sasuke smiled reassuringly at him.

“Everything will be fine, Dobe… I´m here with you!”

“Why don´t I do a second check up on you to see if the child is alright? I would like to tell Tsunade that everything is going smoothly when she arrives here," she said with a small but sincere smile. The truth was that she love both Naruto and Sasuke. She realized then that she actually felt happy for them.

“Sasuke, you can stay but I would ask you to leave, Kakashi-sensei!” she said, motioning at the silver-haired nin to leave the room.

“… See you later then!” Kakashi chuckled and threw them a wave as he used the transporting jutsu to leave the room.

“Would you please lay down for me, Naruto-kun?” she said as she positioned herself next to the blonde. As he lay flat on his back, she began to concentrate her green jutsu in her palms.

“I´m gonna check out if the infants heartbeat is regular and if everything is as it should be in the fourth week of pregnancy!” she explained calmly to both parents to be. “I’ll be glad to tell you about the phases of a pregnancy afterwards,” she added as she caught Sasuke´s questioning expression.

“Alright auntie!” the blonde grinned at her. She was going to be an aunt? She smiled warmly at both men. Yes she was going to be an aunt! All the previous anger was gone in a heartbeat.

“Well let’s see, then...” She focused the green chakra to search for the child inside of the blonde. She hovered her hands over his rippled stomach with a concentrated look on her face.

Both Naruto and Sasuke followed her every move with out making the slightest sound other than breathing.

“Here we have it… One very tiny and normal looking… Huh? What is this?” she muttered in wonder.

“What? is there something wrong with our baby?” Sasuke almost choke at the words. Naruto just stared at her with worry in his eyes.

“No, everything is fine… Both of the babies are just fine!” She smiled at the stunned parents to be.

“Congratulations… you’ll be having twins!”

“I want to see Naruto-kun!” Gaara crossed his arms above his chest and gave the beautiful blonde girl an irritated glare. Damn that girl looked a lot like Naruto… just like a female version of him, without the whisker marks though.

“I´m very sorry, Kazekage-sama, but I can’t let you in. Naruto-kun is being examined by a medic as we speak, and they are not to be disturbed.” Kirah bowed politely at the handsome redhead.

“It´s wasn’t just the flu then?” he asked her in a friendlier tone.

“I´m sorry but I don´t know, Kazekage-sama… but I´m confident that Naruto-kun is fine," she said with a reassuring smile.

“Gaara!” he said.

“Excuse me?”

“You can call me Gaara!”

“… Alright, Gaara, I´m Kira,” she said and offered him her hand. He hesitated for a millisecond but then decided to take the invitation and shook her hand.

“Why don´t a give you a tour of the city as compensation?” she offered with a warm smile that reminded the read-haired Kage of another blonde.

“But don´t you have to stand watch here?” he asked. Gaara actually did feel like going out with her, but didn’t want her to get into trouble with the Uchiha because she left her post.

“Nah… I just wanted to be here when they come out. I wanted to know what was wrong with Naru-kun as well. He a good friend of mine!” she replied, still smiling cutely at him.

“I see, lead the way then!” he said with a small shy smile in return. He wasn’t use to be smiling, but it felt kinda good. This girl had a similar effect on him as Naruto, he realized, as he walked next to her down the hallway.

“So whatcha wanna see first?” she asked him.

“I don´t know?” he wanted to say but his growling stomach beat him to it. Suddenly he realized that he hadn’t eaten anything after the meeting with Naruto last night.

“How ´bout we get something to eat? I know this little place down on third street that serves a very tasty ramen… Naruto and I go there all the time!”

“Sure!” He smiled at her. He really liked this girl and the more he got to know her the better.

“You know what? You should smile more,” she said. ”It really suits you, Gaara!”

He smiled back at her. Naruto had said a similar thing to him once. Yes, he definitely liked this young cheerful girl.

“Let’s go eat some ramen, Kira-chan!”
