I don’t want to have a baby – Especially that baby

17: I don’t want to have a baby – Especially that baby

Sasuke opened her eyes and tried to focus on the room around her. A bright light shone in her face and added difficulty to the groggy feeling and sleep-muddled eyes.
The walls were white and nondescript, giving those eyes nothing to focus on and adding to the fuzzy feeling she had.
A cool draft brought her attention to the fact that she was completely naked and bound to the top of a metal table. There were straps holding her feet, thighs, wrists and across her shoulders and forehead.
Her legs were slightly parted and her hands secured at her hips.
Sasuke tugged at the restraints and felt pain travel up her right arm. Something was tied around her upper arm. She moaned in automatic response.
“Who’s there?” came a call from somewhere well beyond Sasuke’s feet.
“I’m Tsuki.” She responded clear headed enough to remember her cover.
“I’m Meichan. I was vacationing with my parents. A man caught me by the pond.” She said in a frightened and nearly hysterical voice.
“How old are you, Meichan?” Sasuke asked.
“I am fourteen. How about you?” she said.
“Nineteen. Do you know what is going on here?” she asked trying to keep her talking and calm her. The last thing Sasuke wanted to deal with was a panicked female.
“That man. He said something about an experiment. What is he going on to do to me?” she asked.
“Hopefully nothing. He may decide to use me instead. I have a friend who will be looking for me. We need to stall so he can find us. Will you help me?”
“I’ll do what I can, Tsuki. I’m scared.”
“I know. So am I.” She lied. Sasuke was not scared, she was mad.

Naruto had searched all over the small resort village and come up with nothing.
The only clue he had was the sound uniform and the red shoulder bag.
He combed the area he had left Sasuke and all he came up with was a small strip of cloth from Sasuke’s dress that had caught on a nail in the side of one of the buildings. Naruto needed help. He pulled a scroll out of his pocket and after cutting his thumb he ran it down the length of the paper and speaking the terms needed for the summoning, Gamatatsu popped up in a cloud of smoke and greeted Naruto.
“Hey Blondie, You look hot. What’s up?”
“Gamatatsu I need you to help me find Sasuke.” He said.
“Are you still looking for him? Maybe you should give it up, Blondie. Find that pink haired girl and settle down.”
“He was just here and we had plans. Some one stole him in the middle of our date and I am not gonna sit around and let that happen.”
“Okay, Boss. Where did you see him last?” Gamatatsu asked.
“Right over there. I went to investigate a familiar chakra that was following us and when I came back all I found was his purse.”
“Purse? Boss are you sure we are looking for the same Uchiha guy?” the little frog asked.
“He’s using Orioke no jutsu. Look, this piece of his dress was caught on a nail there.”
“Let me see it. Hey, that does smell like Sasuke. Okay, let’s go find you your lady.” And the little frog turned and leapt down the street with the blond ninja at its heels, sort of.

The door opened and Kabuto entered. Crossing to the other girl he closed the curtain and shielded the view from Sasuke as he went behind and moved to her.
Sasuke growled low as he heard the girl whimper and beg the man to leave her alone. Then, she was silent and Kabuto stepped out from behind the curtain pulling off a pair of rubber gloves and crossing to where Sasuke lay.
“Now, let me see. You were going to explain how you have a small child and are still a virgin. I am very interested in this explanation.”
Sasuke squirmed on the table as Kabuto placed a hand, palm down, fingers splayed, across her stomach and concentrated. A light blue glow emanated from the point of contact and Sasuke could feel a tingle.
“Yes, there has never been a baby here and you are yet untouched. Tell me the truth and you may remain that way.”
“He isn’t my baby. His father was an important man in my village. I take care- of him and love him like my own.” Sasuke growled out. Kabuto’s hands traveled down and gently brushed at the tight black curls. “I was here with my boyfriend and I wanted to . . . . but we never got around to it.”
“And where is it you are from, Katsuki Tsuki?” the maniac asked.
“Sunagakure. My boyfriend will be looking for me,” she said.
“Mmm, I see. An important child from the sand. That could mean that he is related to that brat, the Kazekage. Is that it? He is the son of Gaara?” Sasuke turned her eyes away, as her head wouldn’t move. “That man did look like the brother. Yes, that must be it. You are raising the son of the Kazekage and trysting with his brother. Well, I may just have to add another twist to this little drama. You see I am searching for a female to bear me a child. Not my child, mind you. This baby is very special. I have prepared for quite some time, and have been thwarted by those nosey Leaf ninjas.” Sasuke barely suppressed a twitch at the reference to her comrades.
“What is so special about this baby?” she asked.
“Ah, he is created by a forbidden jutsu. It is my former master I have reincarnated. Don’t you think that is a very special thing, to be the mother of a great man? And to think I could chose you. But first, I must prepare you and see if you are capable of this.” And the traitor pulled out a syringe and injected it into the prepared vein of Sasuke’s arm. She winced at the pain, but other than a small hiss gave him no more. Kabuto tugged at the small strap and it released, sending the injection through her veins.
“I’ll be back, when that is working.” And the man left. Sasuke fought against the panic that was brought about by the raving of the madman.
“As if I am going to be the mother of another Orochimaru. I didn’t even like him when he was alive.” She pulled at the bonds once more. “Naruto you better get here soon,” she said as the lethargy took over and she faded into unconsciousness once more.

Naruto followed the small orange frog through the wakening town and they found themselves in front of a small cottage. The frog stopped and turned to the ninja. “There is someone very strong in there. I can feel the wards all around it.”
“We have to be careful. I have an idea.” He said, and his hands moved to begin his seals.

Sasuke awoke once more to find her face reflected in the glass of Kabuto’s eyewear.
“You are an unusual woman, Tsuki. I am tempted to keep you alive and find out why. There is some reason that you have a dwindling supply of chakra. You are not very strong, but I don’t understand what you are using this for. Are you trying to call to your lover? I have already checked. He left you. He took the baby and disappeared. All that is left in your rooms are two small packs of clothes and some travel supplies. I guess he means for you to hike back to him. That is funny, since you will be with me for a long time.”
“I don’t think so.” Sasuke said.
“Yes, you will. I have decided to keep you. I need someone to keep me company as I raise my master. You will stay with me. Now, as for the baby that I have implanted . . . ” and the man turned to lift a beaker and hold it before himself. Then he dropped it into the trash and turned back to the table.
Sasuke began to panic at the idea and pulled against her bonds again.
“I don’t want to have that. Tell me you didn’t?” She begged.
Kabuto smiled and leaned down, his hand ghosting over the soft skin of her inner thigh.
“But, I have. I have implanted my god and he will be with us in less than one year. I am so looking forward to it, aren’t you, Tsuki?” he purred to her.
“No.” Sasuke responded.
“You might want to back off,” a voice cut in. “Or I’ll remove that hand with a kunai.”
Kabuto stood suddenly; removing his face from Sasuke’s view and out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of a shock of blond hair.
“Naruto.” She said, relief flooding her body.
“Naruto-kun. What are you doing here?” Kabuto said, his fingers gripping Sasuke’s flesh in his anger. Sasuke winced in pain.
“I already told you to let go. Don’t make me repeat myself, Kabuto-san.” Naruto said, his hand dropping from the place on his hip to the kunai holder on his right thigh.
“Don’t threaten me, boy. I have beaten you before. I will kill you this time for what you did to Orochimaru.”
“And I will kill you if you don’t take your hands off of what belongs to me!” Naruto said, moving faster than Sasuke had ever seen to send the kunai through the air and graze the man’s hand with it. The air over Sasuke’s thigh moved with the weapon and cooled a path behind it. Sasuke twitched away in response.
“Be careful, Dobe. You almost hit me.”
“No I didn’t. Stay out of this. Just lay there all nice and naked and let me rescue you.”
“Ch!” Sasuke said, rolling her eyes.
“Kabuto untie her, now. I am giving you one more chance.” Naruto ordered his hands forming another Jutsu.

Gaara rolled over and moaned from his chest. Choji hurried over and touched the redhead’s shoulder lightly.
“Are you all right?” he asked as he was caught in the deep green gaze.
“My head pains me. Where am I and who are you?” Gaara said pushing up on his elbows and looking down at himself. “Have I been ill?”
“What do you remember last?” Choji asked aiding the Kazekage to a seated position.
“I remember Karura coming in. She was taking care of me. It must have been a dream.” Gaara’s eyes went cold. “Who are you?”
“I’m Akimichi Choji from Konoha. We saved you from the Hidden Springs village. Shikamaru says they hypnotized you.”
“Shikamaru? The Nara Jounin?” Choji nodded. “I see. So that is how I ended up like this?” Choji nodded again. “Shukaku was involved?” As Choji went to nod again, Gaara raised a hand.
“Sorry. The hypnotism was directed at the demon. You were just brought along with it. If you want to change, I’ll help you.” Choji suggested standing. Gaara nodded this time and Choji aided him in standing and eased the shirt over his head.
Soon, dressed in his chosen clothing once more, Gaara with the help of the Akimichi, was seated at the table sipping some soup and tea.
“So, you and the shadow ninja rescued me?” Gaara asked.
“There were six of us. Neji, Shikamaru, Sasuke, Kankurou and Naruto.” At the sound of the new names, Gaara paused.
“My brother is here?”
“Yes, he is with Neji and Shikamaru. Naruto and Sasuke are late and they went to find them.” Choji explained.
“Naruto and the Uchiha are missing? Why were they not with us?”
“They stayed in the Resort to confuse any pursuit. They are pretending with Henge so no one will be looking for us.”
“I see. Where are we now?” Gaara asked finishing his tea and watching as Choji refilled the cup.
“On the borders of the Stone country. We are taking you back to Konoha to see the Godaime and then we will send you home.”
“You understand that term refers to me, also. Perhaps you should call her the Hokage.”
“You’re definitely back to yourself. Do you want me to call you Kazekage?”
“Gaara is fine.” He said lifting his cup.
Gaara sipped his tea as he looked around the room. His eye caught on something then snapped back to Choji. “We have been her for a while. Have I been ill the entire time?”
“Yeah, pretty much.” Choji said, scanning the area that had upset the redhead.
The small table near the wall had been turned into a catchall and on it were several kunai, a shurikan, and empty soda can and two baby bottles. Choji winced.
“Who has cared for me?” Gaara asked leaning back again and eyeing Choji oddly.
“Mostly your brother. We all agreed that if you might be . . . ill for a long time, he needed to become accustomed to your care. I helped a little. I’m sorry.”
Gaara’s eyes snapped up to the chubby young man’s face. He eyed Choji and seamed to measure him carefully. “What are you sorry for?” he asked.
“That you were tricked. I wouldn’t want anyone to be forced into . . . . it’s not something you chose.” The Akimichi explained, finding it difficult to put words to his feelings. “It isn’t right.”
Gaara stared back, his eyes wide and his jaw slack. Choji became uncomfortable under his scrutiny and turned away.
The door opened and the three other ninja’s entered, surprised to find Gaara seated at the table with a cup in his hands.
“Oh, Otouto. Good to see you are better.” Kankurou said, putting his puppet against the wall and leaning on the dresser.
“Hnnh.” Gaara responded.
“He woke up about an hour ago.” Choji said rising and walking to the safety behind Neji. The Hyuuga took a step to the side and moved in front of his friend.
“So, are you all right?” Shikamaru asked, “What do you remember?”
“I was meeting with a woman from the mist village. She asked me about my mother and told me that she knew her. I wanted to know more, so I met her at the edge of the Sand. She showed me a picture. You and Temari were in it.” He said, turning to his brother.
“Was it by a lake?” Kankurou asked, and Gaara nodded. “I was two and Temari one. It was before Mother knew about you. Father was holding Temari as mother was putting lotion on a sunburn I had gotten. Yashamaru took the picture.” He explained.
“The woman told me that my mother was thrilled to be having another child, she said that all she talked about was how she would spoil me so that I would never leave her. And then she found out about the demon.”
“That was when father became distant.” Kankurou added.
“The woman told me what I wanted to hear, I was a fool.” Gaara shook his head as he paused in his tale. “She told me that she could show me what my life should have been like.”
“And you wanted that?” Kankurou growled.
“Of course he did!” Choji snapped at him and Neji wrapped an arm around the Akimichi’s waist. “Don’t judge what you don’t understand.”
“You stay out of this, I need to understand why we had to go on this mission. Why I just spent three days changing my village leader's diapers, after a week of playing Daddy to Naruto and pretending the Uchiha was my wife.”
Gaara looked around as the group argued and finally he rose on shaky legs and lifted his hand. The room stopped and everyone turned to him. Gaara glared at Kankurou. “What did you do to the Uchiha?” he said, his voice tense and his anger barely suppressed.
“Relax, Gaara. He didn’t do anything to Sasuke. Naruto made sure of that.” Neji said smiling as Gaara’s eyes went wide and then narrowed on Kankurou again.
“Besides, he is just cranky because if Sasuke was here he would have been off the hook. Sasuke would have been taking care of you, based on the way he looked when he turned you over to us before we escaped.” Shikamaru mused.
“Yes, there was a certain look in those Sharingans that was beyond motherly.” Neji added.
Gaara lowered into the chair and returned to his soup. He didn’t speak again or seem to acknowledge them as they continued to talk around him.
Just as the shadow ninja was becoming concerned, the sand Kage handed Neji the empty bowl and rose. He turned to Shikamaru and said, “Where are they? Naruto and the Uchiha?”
“No Idea. The hotel room was empty all the bags had been sent home and there was no sign of them. They were seen a few nights ago, eating out, and then walking down the street. No one has seen them since.”
“We should go find them,” he said as a whirl of sand rose and returned to his back in the form of his gourd.
