Chapter 17
Here I am again. Hopefully I can get this chapter done today, even though I haven’t even started it. I am like, totally into it right now, and anyone who knows me, knows that if I get into something like that, I tend to finish quickly ^_^ I am a quick finisher…you know how it is.
Thanks to everyone who has reviewed! I love you guys/girls. Actually it should be girls/guys cause I’m sure it’s a majority of ladies. Anyways.. You are all awesome, and I thank you. My 10,000 hit mark is coming up… can’t wait for that.

Anyways. Here we go.
Chapter 17
“You have three minutes, Asshole.”
Sasuke stood looking at the blonde for a second, before realizing his time was ticking.
“Deidara, Sasori, could you leave us please?” He said quietly.
“What?” Deidara whined. “We did all the work and now we can’t watch the show?”
“Come on Deidara,” Sasori said. There was no room for argument in his tone. Deidara must have picked up on that as well, as they exited without another word.
Sasuke looked at Naruto, who looked almost panicked at the prospect of them being alone. Sasuke sighed, wanting to pour his soul, but knowing that would be a terrible idea.
“Whatever you have to say, you better get to it, Sasuke.” Naruto said. His voice was shaking despite the false bravado. “You are down to two minutes.”
“I…”Sasuke started. He had planned out what he was going to say, and now, staring into those sapphire eyes, he found his mind blank.
“You.” Naruto spat the word. “You are Sasuke Uchiha, the rapist.”
“You don’t understand.” Sasuke started, hearing that from the blonde had started his own panic rising. “I never wanted it to happen!”
“Then why did it happen Sasuke?”
“I was drunk!”
“Great excuse.” Naruto growled.
Sasuke recoiled a little. Naruto’s eyes appeared to flash red, like Itachi’s did when he was angry.
“Please understand.” Sasuke started, the fear rising, and the panic threatening to push out of his body.
“I think I understand perfectly.” Naruto whispered. “You, the big bad rock star needed to vent yourself on someone, and I just happened to be in your way. Just because you are famous you think you can just do whatever the fuck you please?”
“That isn’t how it happened at all.” Sasuke said miserably.
“I will tell you something else, Sasuke.” Naruto continued, cutting him off. “I had a nice little talk with Dr. Kakashi today. You wouldn’t believe the things I told him.”
A smirk rose to the blonde’s lips as he watched Sasuke’s black eyes grow wide.
Sasuke thought about these words for an instant, his emotions overtaking his rational thought.
“Fuck you Naruto Uzumaki.” Sasuke said as he bolted from the room.
“That would be redundant.” Naruto whispered to the empty room.
Although the meeting had been a shock to him, he considered it a victory. He hadn’t really told Kakashi about what happened, but oh the look on Sasuke’s face when he had said that. Maybe now he will leave town and never come back.
Naruto lay back down, and tried to go back to sleep. When he closed his eyes, all he could see were Sasuke’s black ones. They had looked miserable and haunted. The bastard should be miserable, Naruto thought, although he was more interested in the underlying look he had seen there.
“Why are you even thinking about it?” Naruto asked himself. It was frustrating to be so curious about someone you hate. Why did the bastard have to have that look in his eyes? It was almost as if his aloofness was an act. What was it that could possibly be bothering him more than what he had done at the bookstore? It was completely obvious that there had been something more on Sasuke’s mind when he had looked at Naruto.
“What the fuck?” Naruto said aloud. “Who the fuck cares?” He rolled over, and forced himself clear his mind. Within a few minutes, he had fallen asleep.
******
Sasuke tried to walk calmly back to his room. The urge to run was terribly hard to overcome. Once there, he shut the door and turned around, only to find he was not alone, as he had wanted to be.
Gaara sat in a chair in the corner of the room. “Where have you been, Sasuke?”
“I couldn’t sleep, so I went for a walk.” Sasuke said, trying to regulate his breathing. “Where are Deidara and Sasori?”
“I sent them back to the hotel. I was going to ask you why you had called them over here in the first place.”
“I was bored, and nothing entertains me more than seeing them argue over the fundamentals of their art.” Sasuke said, making up the lie quickly and hoping that Gaara bought it.
The redhead folded his arms over his chest. He hadn’t.
“I see.” He said, his eyes boring into Sasuke’s. He wasn’t sure why, but Gaara had the distinct impression that Sasuke was in some serious trouble somehow. Being the most emotionally stable (which was not saying much really, as he wasn’t what anyone would call stable) Gaara felt he needed to look after Sasuke, as Itachi could really be a bastard. Orochimaru seemed to pick on Sasuke more than any of the others as well.
“Gaara, please don’t ask me a bunch of questions right now.” Sasuke started. “But I have to get out of here.”
Gaara remained silent. He was right, Sasuke had done something really bad this time.
“Itachi is the only one who can get you out of here.” Gaara said. “He is your legal guardian, as you know.”
“Get him for me Gaa!” Sasuke said, his fear coming to his eyes. “I need him here as soon as possible.
“You have a phone two feet away from you, Sasuke.” Gaara said calmly.
Sasuke whipped his head around, saw the phone and dove for it. He dialed Itachi’s cell, getting pissed as it rang once…twice…three times.
“Hello?” Itachi’s voice was slurred with either sleep or liquor. Sasuke didn’t know which one was worse.
“Itachi, I need you to come check me out of the hospital.” Sasuke said, trying to be as much like himself as possible.
“Sasuke?” Itachi said. “What the fuck?”
“Don’t ask me that right now, just please come and check me out of here now!”
“I know, someone found out what you did to that blonde kid right?” Itachi said, a smirk clear in his voice. “What are you going to do for me, if I get you out?”
Great, he was drunk, Sasuke thought. This wasn’t going to be a pretty scene.
“Anything.” Sasuke said quickly. “Just come get me.”
“Good boy.” Itachi said, a slight moan in his voice, and there was a click as he hung up. Sasuke put the phone down and he began to tremble. He didn’t want to think about what he was going to be expected to do when he got back to the hotel, but it wasn’t going to be fun.
A few minutes later, he was dressed and he and Gaara had gotten everything of his from the room and put it in a plain white bag that had been put there for dirty clothes and such. All Sasuke could do now is wait for his brother to sober up enough to get here and get him the fuck out of here.
******
It was another half an hour before Itachi stumbled through the door, along with a nurse.
“Alright, Sasuke, your brother has checked you out so it is time for you to go now.” The nurse said, looking as if she didn’t agree with this at all.
Sasuke stood up and thanked the nurse before walking out of the room. Gaara and Itachi walked silently behind him until they got out of the hospital and were walking toward the bus, which Itachi informed him was ready to hit the road again.
“We checked out of the hotel, loaded up and came to get you.” Itachi said.
Silently Sasuke thanked him, but outwardly he was indifferent. He wasn’t going to do anything to remind Itachi of what he had agreed on earlier. Apparently his brother had been too drunk to remember, which was fine with him.
They got on the bus and Sasuke went straight to his room and sat down on his bed. He could feel the movement as they left the parking lot, and it calmed him down considerably. He lay down and closed his eyes, just wanting to get some sleep.
“Anything huh.” A voice came from behind him, making him jump a little.
Sasuke heard the door to his room slide shut, and then a hand rested on his hip.
Sasuke closed his eyes as a tear slid down his face onto his pillow.
