Hardships
Hardships
Thanks for reading my fanfiction! This will be a kinda short chapter, and there are no warnings for this one. Koroshi found Sasuke at the pier after the academy had let out for the day. She walked up to him, and he looked back at her to see her crying. He stood, and ran to her. "Koroshi-chan!" Sasuke said. ".....You're cry--" "This must be hard on you, Sasuke-kun. If it’s this hard on me, then--" "But you had a Blood Ceremony with Itachi, Koroshi-chan. You actually carry his blood in you. You are like my big sister. You love him so much, and I know you must be hurt." "Sasule-kun.....come here." She pulled Sasuke into her arms, holding him, letting him cry against her. She rubbed her hand through his hair, comforting him. She held his hand as she pulled him to the street. "Come on, Sasuke-kun. We'll go and get something to eat. What would you like?" "It doesn't matter, Koroshi-chan." They went and had rice balls and stewed tomatoes, and then she walked with him to the Uchiha estate. He was still staying there. "How would you feel about me moving in here with you, Sasuke-kun?" "Really?" He smiled. "That way I wouldn't always be alone. Sure! You can move in here!" "Great! Let's go and get my stuff." And so they went and got her things from Guy's house, and he grumblingly agreed to let her leave. Koroshi set up her things in Itachi's old bedroom, and Sasuke chose not to comment on her choice of room. He knew that she truly loved his older brother, but that was too bad, because he planned to get strong and kill Itachi someday. She would just have to move on. He didn't want to hurt Koroshi, of course, but this was something he had to do. He was an avenger. He would kill Itachi one day. They took turns bathing, and then they went to bed. Koroshi lay in Itachi's bed, under his blankets, thinking of how many nights he had slept in this bed, his head laying on this pillow, his body laying in this very bed, under these very blankets, and she cried in silence as she longed to see him again. There would be many hardships from now on, and she hoped that she could live through them so that she could see Itachi again one day. *** The next day, she continued training with Guy-sensei, and then she and Sasuke had supper and baths and went to bed. *** The next few months worked similarly, and pretty soon, she celebrated Itachi's birthday on her own. Soon, Sasuke turned eight, Koroshi turned thirteen. More time passed, yet another year where she celebrated Itachi's June birthday alone, and then Sasuke turned nine, and Koroshi turned fourteen. When she was fourteen, she became a jonin. She rejoiced, and spent that night celebrating with Sasuke. Missions kept her busy for the most part, and unfortunately, since the first few weeks after she had moved into the Uchiha estate, she was hardly ever there. She carried out many hard missions, keeping herself busy and away most of the time. She hated to leave Sasuke alone, but she had to become a strong ninja. He didn't really blame her, though. Sasuke knew that it was Koroshi's way of coping with Itachi's betrayal and loss--or what he thought that it was, anyway. Soon, Koroshi was celebrating Itachi's sixteenth birthday, and then Sasuke turned ten, and then she turned fifteen. From the time she turned fifteen, she kept her hair in a high pony tail. Time continued to pass, and shortly after she turned fifteen, she got accepted as an ANBU Black Ops superior member. She had finally learned to use her slight form of the sharingan, and though her eyes didn't turn crimson, the black points were in her eyes, and she made it to the second second stage for now, with two points. This was the year in which Sasuke got put onto Team 7, under Kakashi Hatake. She had not seen Kakashi in a long time. Kakashi was just fixing to turn twenty six now, she recalled. Kakashi was hard on his squad sometimes, but she watched with pride as Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto completed many missions, and Sasuke grew stronger. Soon enough, the Chunin exams arrived, but unfortunately, she was not around for them, and when she returned from her mission, she found that Orochimaru-sannin-sama had killed the third Hokage. They all attended his funeral, placing one white flower on his grave. What would they do without the third Hokage? Who would be the next Hokage? There were many hardships.
