Chapter 19: I want to stay with you!

“Sasuke, wait! They mean no harm… Am I right, Baa-chan?” The blonde grew a shy smile as he made his way past his protective friends and lover.

“Naruto? Is that really you?” The tears were visible in the golden eyes of the busty leader of the hidden Leaf as she slid the hood of her cloak off.

“It´s me, Baa-chan. I’m sorry that I made you worry.” He knew she would most likely hug him and then hit him hard on the head… if he was lucky that was.

“Naruto-kun?” Another cloaked figure pushed his way past the sobbing Hokage and embraced the blonde in a tight hug. Sasuke rushed forward to free his blonde, who only shook his head at his lover.

“Hi Iruka-sensei,” the blonde wrapped his arms around the man that were like a father to him.

Sasuke suddenly felt a knot in his throat: he feared for the moment when he had to tell mother hen Iruka that he had knocked Naruto up.

“Hi Shikimaru and you’re here too fuzzy eyebrows?” The blonde fox grinned. He extended a hand to greet his friends as he couldn’t hug them as Iruka refused to let him go.
“So how long have you been hiding here?” the Hokage said with a hint of anger in her voice.

“I brought him here about six weeks ago,” the raven tired to pry the blonde away from the possessive brunette.

´Iruka-sensei is just as possessive as the Uchiha, when it’s about Naruto.´ The Kazekage realized. He and Kira eyed the visitors with suspicion. Why did the Hokage bring so many shinobi along with her?

“And where have you been before that, Gaki? I should kick you ass for running away like that! And you, Uchiha, why didn’t you send a message that you had found Naruto and brought him here? And how did you manage to find him, when even the Inuzuka family’s best noses couldn’t find a trail?”

“Eh heh… well you see, Baa-chan, I was-“Naruto mumbled shyly. He felt a little bad that he hadn’t even send a note to her, to tell her that he was alright.

“He was with me at the Sand!” The red-head calmly stated. “Naruto was recovering from some minor wounds and stayed a few months before moving on…I heard that the Uchiha was looking for Naruto-kun and sent him a message.”

“I then asked the Kazekage to send a messenger with a note to Naruto… and that is how I managed to bring him here in the end,” the raven coldly explained. There was no need to tell her or any of the others anything else. Those who had to know more already knew.

“… I see. You are conspiracy behind my back and Konoha´s then?” She took an aggressive stand, which made Gaara, Kira and Sasuke step in front of Naruto to shield him.

“Not really, Baa-chan. It’s not like we plan to go to rip the bonds between us or anything… but I’m not coming back with you to Konoha. Things have changed… I have changed. I’m gonna stay right here at Otogakure.”

“WHAT?!” she growled. “You are a shinobi of the hidden leaf and a missing nin. I have the law on my side to bring you back home with me-“

“And then what? The counsel will have my head for this, for sure. They hated me before I left and they surely hate me just as much if not more now that they are certain that I am a threat to them and Konoha.“ Tsunade just stared at the angry blonde with wide eyes.

“And I will not allow anyone to harm Naruto… He will stay here with me. People here are not as narrow-minded as the citizens of Konoha. They will have no problem with accepting Naruto in our midst… I will see to that!” Sasuke said with determination while he was still standing in front of Naruto.

“I love Konoha and all the people that live there… always have, always will. But I just can’t take it anymore… Besides that… I feel happy here.” The angry and disappointed look on the Hokage´s face changed into a sad, knowing expression. She knew what her favorite blonde had been going through. All those years of resentment and loneliness had left its mark on the boy’s soul.

Had Naruto ever felt happy in Konoha? He had seemed so sad and lonely since the Uchiha had left on his quest for power. Could it be that Naruto´s happiness was here… in the Sound… at the side of his best friend?

“Yo, Ruka,” the silver-haired nin dragged the brunette away from the commotion.

“Kakashi?”

“I’m here to congratulate Sasuke for his birthday, remember.”

“Did you know that Naruto would be here?” the brunette inquired. Kaashi was always very good at keeping secrets from his younger lover, and Iruka hated it.

“No, I was surprised to find him here as well… Sasuke dragged me and Sakura into his office and demanded that Sakura examined Naruto as he had been ill.”

“WHAT? But Naruto never get’s sick, he-“They suddenly had everyone’s attention.

“I said so too,” the pink-haired medic sat back down at the table and motioned to the others to do the same. “That’s why I examined him myself and called for Tsunade-sensei afterwards!”

Kira left the room with a sigh to arrange for some more chairs. This was going to be a very long night.

“Maybe we should talk about this in the morning instead, when we have all had a good nights rest.” Gaara said calmly. Tsunade and her party were tired from the long trip. Gaara had to wonder how they could have made it to the Sound in only half a day. The trip to the Sound usually took at least two days from Konoha… but then again, this was one of the legendary sanin, if she couldn’t pull something like that, no one could.

The other half of the people in the room had been celebrating with a lot of alcohol and some were pretty wasted, like Kiba who was still cuddling up against Kankurou, who seemed to have gotten used to the groping.

“No, I want to know what is wrong with Naruto, and I want to know it right now!” Tsunade walked to sit next to her former student, as Kiba was now sitting on Kankurou´s lap, nuzzling playfully with the puppet master’s hair. Kankurou had his one arm around the blushing dog nin to prevent the teen to fall of his lap.

“The note you sent to me didn’t state anything about Naruto´s condition…it just stated that Naruto was here at the Sound with the Otokage and that Sakura needed me to take a look at Naruto. You seem fine though, so what is the symptoms and what is wrong with you, Gaki?”

“I am also curious, and I´m sure that Kira wants to know too… She is a close friend of Naruto´s, just like most of us here, so go on and tell us the truth!” The Kazekage said with his usual cool and uninterested tone, though he really wanted to know more. He turned his gaze to look at his brother and the dog lover on his lap. Gaara couldn’t help to think that he wasn’t the only one who had found something appealing and very attractive here at the new official hidden city of the Sound.

Kira and a few of Sasuke´s subordinates brought in more chairs as well as snacks and drinks. Tsunade grabbed a few bottles of sake, a poured herself a drink and gulped it down.

Naruto nodded at Gaara and took a seat between Sasuke and Kira. Gaara smirked as he watched his sister drag a chair next to her and force Shikimaru to sit next to her with a smile. Lee took a seat next to the Hokage to stay as close to Sakura as possible.

“My condition is the other reason why I won’t return to Konoha!” the blonde said calmly. He could hear encouraging words from the Kitsune in his mind. ´Go on and tell them… they will understand and let you stay here, and if not... Sasuke would never let them take us away from him.´

“You all know that I´m the carrier of the Kyuubi no Kitsune, right?”
“Yeah.” Everyone nodded.

“Is there something wrong with the seal?” The Hokage rose from her seat with worry in her golden eyes.

“The seal is intact, Hokage-sama!” the pink-haired medic stated.

“Then what? Is the Kyuubi doing something to you, Gaki?”

“Yeah, she is… I’m six weeks along… I’m pregnant…” There it was, finally out in the open. Now they all knew.

“WHAT?!” Iruka, Gaara, Kira and Tsunade yelled in unison.

“I’m pregnant…with twins!” The blonde grinned as he scratched the back of his neck.
“That is why I wanted to have you come here, Tsunade-sama. You have more experience and knowledge than me. I thought it would be best if you double checked my findings… so far everything is proceeding normally for someone who is pregnant with twins,” Sakura explained.

“I have never heard of male pregnancy before… how is that even possible?” Iruka asked with wide eyes. He leaned against Kakashi for support because his legs felt like jelly.
The silver-haired man was more than happy for this opportunity to hold on to his dolphin as he smiled widely beneath his mask.

His little Naruto… pregnant… with twins? Iruka was going to be a grandfather? He felt like a father that had just learned that his innocent little daughter was pregnant. But if Naruto was pregnant… then who had put him in this situation?

“… Kyuubi, she is an active part in this. She uses her power to make my insides female somehow and she is going to keep this up during the whole pregnancy so I can make it to term.” Naruto smiled warmly at Sasuke as he could feel his dark-haired lover’s hand cover his reassuringly.

“Alright, I get the idea… but if she only keeps your pregnancy stable… then who is responsibly for impregnating you?” Tsunade asked, though she could already guess what the answer would be.

“Eh heh… “The blonde blushed slightly as all eyes were on him. The blonde looked shyly at Sasuke who just nodded at him with a smirk.

“I am the father!” the Uchiha said proudly. Everyone’s attention was now successfully diverted from Naruto to Sasuke.

“…You?” Iruka managed to word before passed out, while the rest of the party just stared in disbelief at the smirking Uchiha as he wrapped an arm possessively around his blonde lover.

“I think I’ll better take him outside… guess he could use some fresh air right now!” Kakashi held Iruka in his arms and walked out the door.
“The Uchiha knocked ya up?” a very drunk dog nin blurted out in the room before laughing out loud.

“Is that the reason why you want me to help you to stay?” Gaara asked. He was still a bit shocked to hear that Naruto´s illness was just a normal reaction to his current state.

“No, we just found out today,” the raven explained.

“Hmmm, I’ll better take a look at you condition first thing in the morning, Gaki.”

“So, does that mean I can stay legally?” the blonde asked the busty Hokage.

“No, it won’t,” she answered thoughtfully. “You are still a shinobi of Konoha and have no other reason to stay here!”

“What?! But he carries my children! I’m the god damn Otokage and I won’t let you take him away from me! I will do everything in my power to keep Naruto at my side. I’ll even give you full access to Orochimaru´s hidden files and even the forbidden jutsus I’ve managed to salvage-“

“Thank you, Sasuke, I appreciate that… but I can’t allow Naruto to stay.”

“But Baa-chan?” Naruto cried desperately and wrapped his arms around Sasuke to show her that he didn’t wish to leave either.

“I’ll declare war against Konoha if you don´t change your mind,” the Uchiha growled. He gritted his teeth in anger and fisted his hands. He would not let anyone take his light away from him. The Uchiha would fight till death to keep his blonde with him.

He had finally found comfort, trust and love and so had Naruto. No one was going to take that away from them, no matter who it was.

“And Suna will help!” Gaara stated coldly. His pale eyes glared at golden orbs with determination and seriousness. He crossed his arms and felt Kira´s blue eyes smiling proudly at him. She tugged an arm under one of his and stood by his side.

He looked into her azure eyes and nodded at her. She flashed a shy smile at him before her expression turned serious again. She was happy that Gaara was on their side.
“War?” Lee, Sakura, Shikimaru and even Naruto gasped in disbelief.

“But Sasuke, war against Konoh-“the blonde cried out with sadness in his voice. Naruto still loved Konoha and wouldn’t dream of doing anything that could harm the city or in inhabitants in any way.

Tsunade leaned backwards to lead against the chair more comfortable and crossed her arms below her bosom. “Tch… are you threatening me…? Brats. “She smiled at their confused glares. “The law states that Naruto belongs to Konoha… It’s not like he is married to the Otokage, so he had a reason to stay or anything, is he now?” she grinned.

“Not married?” Sasuke and Gaara looked at each other in confusion at first, then a smirk grew on their pale faces.

“Nani?” The blonde looked at Sasuke and Gaara, before turning his gaze to Kira. “Kira-chan, I don´t get it? Why is everyone smiling?”

“Naru-kun,” the young woman smiled warmly at her whisker-marked friend. “Everything will be just fine, trust me!”

Kiba was too interested in nibbling playfully at Kankurou´s ear to notice the change in the conversation. And Kankurou was enjoying the other nin’s advances to much to listen either.

´Maybe I should take advantaged of his drunken state and take him somewhere where I can enjoy this alone with him heh heh.´ Kankuro felt the light buzz of the alcohol he had been consuming, but didn’t care. He got up quietly and dragged the pouting Kiba out through the back door of the room without any of the others even noticing.
