Dinner With the Hyuugas
Ten Ten had decided today was the day she would tell her mother she had a boyfriend. She wouldn’t come clean about everything but at least her mother would know that she did have a boyfriend. Her mother was home on her lunch hour from the library.
“Mom? Can I talk to you?” Ten Ten asked sheepishly.
“Of course, come sit down with me. What’s up?” Ten Ten watched her mother nibble at a sandwich.
“There’s something I need to tell you that you don’t know about me.” Ten Ten took a deep breath she didn’t know how her mother would take this news, even though Ten Ten was 16. “I…have a boyfriend.” Ten Ten could have slapped herself for saying it. It sounded so much better when she was rehearsing it in her head. Ten Ten’s mother looked at her.
“Oh! My baby girl! Who is he honey?” Her mother was more or less doing that ‘my baby is growing up’ face. She wasn’t angry nor was she suspicious.
“Well, mom, he’s on me team. Hyuuga Neji. You’ve heard me mention him before.” Ten Ten’s mother smiled at her.
“Well, dear. I’m happy for you if you are happy.” The conversation pretty much ended there. The phone rang and Ten Ten went to answer it. It was Hinata.
“Hey, it’s me. Come to dinner at our house tonight. Dad wants to meet you. Oh, but before you come to our house, meet me at Naruto’s apartment at 4:30.” Ten Ten hung up the phone and was slightly mortified. “Me and Hyuuga Hiashi in the same room at the same table with his family…and no Neji!?” Ten Ten gulped. She figured she didn’t have anything to hide from him; after all he knew that she and Neji had slept together. But she wondered what the hell do you say to the father of the guy you’re sleeping with. This wasn’t just a normal father, not like Shikamaru’s dad or Chouji’s dad…this was the head of the Hyuuga Main Branch House!! Ten Ten told herself not to freak out.
“Mom that was my friend Hinata, that’s Neji’s cousin. She wants me to join her for dinner tonight. Is that okay?” Ten Ten asked, her face pale.
“Sure it’s okay. I’ve got to get back to work I’ll be home by 5:30 tonight. I’ll see you later.” Ten Ten’s mother left and Ten Ten started to panic about what to wear. She immediately called Hinata back, she knew Hinata had called from Naruto’s apartment. Hinata giggling on the other end.
“Hinata! Get Naruto’s hands out of your pants and talk to me!
“How did you know where his hands were?” Hinata asked on the other line.
“Lucky guess. Now, talk to me.”
“Ten Ten, relax you can wear whatever the hell you want to wear. Dad won’t care.” Hinata insisted.
“Hinata! This is the first time I’ll be meeting your father. I don’t want to be known as ‘that girl Neji is screwing who dresses badly’.” Ten Ten was getting no where with Hinta because every time she started talking she could hear Hinata giggling. This could only mean she was fooling around with Naruto. “Okay, I’ll see you later!” Ten Ten hung up the phone and sat on her living room couch. She tried as hard as she could to think what Neji would want her to wear. That was useless because Neji could care less what Ten Ten wore or didn’t wear. At any rate, Ten Ten chose one of her better tops; got in the shower and got dressed. She brushed her hair so that her long tresses flowed loosely around her shoulders. No one was there to tell her, but she looked beautiful, she looked like a young woman. As she looked at herself in the mirror she thought about Neji, what he may be doing and if he was okay. Then, she thought about Hiashi’s beautiful wife. Ten Ten decided she would love to look like her, because that woman had it all.
Ten Ten left her home to go to Naruto’s apartment. She rang the doorbell and Hinata quickly answered. “Hey, you look nice, come in.” She said. She saw Naruto lying on his couch wearing nothing but his boxers. Of course, Ten Ten had never seen this much of Hinata…she had no idea the Hyuuga heiress was that curvy. So much for the little girl who hid her body in a great big coat; Hinata was gorgeous! The Hyuuga’s must have been blessed before they were even born because Hinata was a radiant young woman and Ten Ten already knew how sexy Neji was. “Come here, we need you.” Hinata said walking back over to the couch and lying on top of Naruto. Hinata had never ever been so…not shy….in her life!
“Okay, I know what you take and we want to know where you got them and how I can get them?” Hinata said, being as vague as vague could get. Ten Ten looked puzzled at first.
“You mean my pills?” she said.
“Yes! Spill.” Naruto said from underneath Hinata.
“Well, it helps to know Shizune. Go to the hospital and tell Shizune you want to start them. She’ll give you all the information you need. But, it may help if you schedule a physical with her.
“Okay, but why do you take them? I mean, you were already taking them before you and Neji got together. He told me about finding them in your pack.”
“I have a medical condition that requires it. I have to take them.” Ten Ten answered.
“Lucky you. Okay, that’s what we wanted to know. So Shizune is my ticket, right?” Hinata asked.
“Yeah…so what are you doing now?” Ten Ten questioned. Both Naruto and Hinata hesitated.
“Nothing…that’s why we needed you over here, because we have to start something.” Naruto said.
“Well, the hospital has everything you need.” Ten Ten said “By the way, how long have you two been dating?”
“Four months, but we’ve only been sleeping together three months.” Hinata said. After a while, Hinata looked at the clock and told Ten Ten it was time to head to the Hyuuga Manor. They couldn’t leave before Ten Ten witnessed the way Hinata and Naruto kissed. She personally thought her and Neji’s way was much better…but who was she to judge. They made their way through the streets and to the entrance of the Hyuuga grounds. Hinata led Ten Ten to the door. Ten Ten took her shoes off and Hinata opened the door for Ten Ten.
“Dad! Come in here!” Hinata called. Ten Ten had never before seen Hyuuga Hiashi in person. She couldn’t help but blush all over. He was a striking man indeed; Neji looked so much like him on the count that his father was Hiashi’s twin. Ten Ten decided that Neji would most likely look like this when he was nearly 40. “Dad, this is Ten Ten, she’s on Neji’s team.” Hinata introduced her.
“Ten Ten, welcome to our home; please come inside. We’re glad to have you.”
