Destiny of a Shinobi

A/N: I do not own Naruto anime/manga, but I do own this plot.

Chapter Two
The Sudden Fight


Naruto stealthily hid himself both physically and also his chakra presence. Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura were all doing the same, all of them with a different vantage point of the new tool of Orochimaru. The boy had long black hair, with a build similar to Sasuke's. The boy was no older than twelve, which gave all the members of Team 7 a shock. It appeared that he was in the midst of training, jumping to a fro, katana flashing wildly from bunshin to bunshin.

He has two katana, and his chakra is outstanding. And Kaka-sensei's plan wont work because Orochimaru, Kabuto, and several other seemingly skilled ninja's watched the boy practice. Naruto thought, a look of horror on his face. He had just seen the eyes of the boy, and they scared Naruto right to his marrow. They looked exactly like Sharingan, except they were black pupils, with ten white dots around the edges, with three red tear drops closer to the middle.

A kunai whizzed past Naruto then, signaling him to reatreat to a previously found location. So, Naruto grabbed the kunai, and headed the short distance back to the meeting grounds.

"I wish we had Shikamaru on this mission. His strategies are top notch." Kakashi said once all of them had arrived.

"Well, Kakashi, I have an idea. You create 4 shadow clones, turn three of them into each one of us, and we attack from cover, hiding our presence as we sneak around the back. Naruto can fling the drug to sedate the boy with his chakra, and then I can use my legs to run and poof away. Sakura, you will have to knock out the sentries we fround, and Naruto, you will have to be as quiet as a mouse, if not quiter." Sasuke said, his theory sound.

"Sasuke, that is pretty much what I was gonna say before you cut me off." Kakashi smirked under his cloth mask. "Okay, lets head out. You three go around the long way to get behind them. "

He disappeared in a cloud of smoke as the other three ran around the long way, heading towards Sasuke's old vantage point. Once they arrived, they had a quick whispered conversation, and Sasuke made a distinct birdcall behind the crowing of the crows in the forest. Four splitting images of Team 7 appeared, kunai's flashing, techniques coming into life instantly. Kakashi focused on the unknown shinobi first. He had Naruto do a combination of Rasengan and Chidori. It needed both because the Chidori would be using less chakra, and Kakashi did not fully know Rasengan. His attacked killed or incapacitated three of the guards around Orochimaru. Orochimaru himself looked pissed off.

"Go, Naruto, knock out the boy before he interferes."

And Naruto jumped into action, is chakra mixed with the Kyuubi's flaring wildly, the needle filled with the drug was in the grasp of his chakra. The needle flew through the trees, forced by chakra to go in at an odd angle. It flew a loop around his charkas reach, trying to confuse the boy's now roaming eyes. He had felt the explosion of chakra. Naruto had made a shadow clone right before he flared his prowess, the bunshin flew into combat with the boy, his taijutsu obviously superior. Maito Gai had been teaching him the same taijutsu as he had learnt Rock Lee. Naruto's bunshin fought for a moment before the boy landed a hit right on the clone's breastbone. Shattering three ribs, and the sternum, the boy obviously had power like Tsunade. The needle hit the boy right in the neck, and almost instantly he hit the ground, unconscious.

Sasuke took his flight, flying past the boy without seeming to grab him. He ran on, not stopping. That was their orders. If one of them grabbed the boy, the others had to fend for themselves. Getting this boy away from Orochimaru was the main concern of the Hokage.

Naruto flew into combat to help Kakashi, who had lost all his clones after bringing down the guards of Orochimaru. It was now Kakashi, Sakura, Naruto standing straight across from Orochimaru and Kabuto.

"So, Tsunade sent you out here to take my new tool out, I'm guessing?" Orochimaru's slithery voice said, the sound scratching the ears of Naruto. Kakashi removed his forehead protector to reveal his Sharingan, and suddenly, Kabuto crumpled to the ground, bleeding profusely.

"That's right, Orochimaru. Sasuke is on his way, running at full speed to get back to Konoha, where Tsunade can study the boy." Kakashi said, noticing Kabuto getting up, a sardonic smile twisting his face in two.
"Kakashi-san, you do realize you three are not leaving here, right?" Kabuto said, his snakelike eyes glittering with bliss. After he finished speaking, several Hidden Earth shinobi appeared.

"We are ordered to protect Orochimaru and his belongings." One of them said. "We've dispatched seven Junins to follow the young boy of yours. Please forgive us for being late, Orochimaru-sama."

Orochimaru began to speak, his eyes saying he was smiling on the inside when Naruto suddenly launched himself forward, "Dai Mizu Gokendai." A demon-looking form of water appeared, a large sword held within it's three fingered grasp. The technique moved with the speed of a snake, and the slipperyness of a bunny. It went straight for the Hidden Earth nins, while Naruto released three tails of the Kyuubi. One tail whipped out the grab Kabuto by the throat. All before anyone could react. Orochimaru went towards Naruto, a kunai in his very pale hand. His face held an expression of fury. Kakashi jumped to intervene, his own kunai blocking that of Ororchimaru's.

"Kakashi-san, I'm disappointed. You still believe you can beat me, don't you?"

"No, but I can at least slow you down while Sakura does," he paused, smiling underneath his mask. "That." Sakura had flowed towards Orochimaru's body, her fist flying at full speed and power towards his ribcage. His body flew several meters to the side after her fist hit him. Kakashi had heard the sounds of bones breaking when Sakura hit him, so he stopped paying attention.

Sakura and him went to help Naruto's demon-like jutsu dispatch the Earth nins. Naruto was slowly killing Kyuubi, when Itachi appeared from nowhere, slapping Naruto's throat. He picked him up in a fireman carry after Naruto passed out, and Itachi gracefully flew away. Kakashi and Sakura finished knocking all the ninjas unconscious only to find Naruto missing, Kabuto and Orochimaru both coughing and bleeding from multiple areas.

"Let's go Sakura. I don't wish to press our luck. Naruto must have headed after Sasuke." Kakashi said, running and jumping into the nearest tree as he did so.

Naruto awoke slowly, his neck hurting, his eyes watering, and his stomach aching. He was moving at an extremely fast pace. He was being carried by someone.

"Naruto-kun, do not be frightened. I am not here on Akatsuki business, This is personal."

"Itachi!" Naruto exclaimed

"That's right."

"What the fuck are you doing here?!?!"

"As I just said, I'm here on a personal matter. It has come to my attention that Kyuubi is beginning to accept it's confinement, and allowing you more control as you sub-consciously get use to it. This is unheard of for a Tailed Beast, and I must find out why. I am not going to kill you, not today. I just need ten minutes to place myself inside the seal, and talk with the Kyuubi."

Naruto felt Itachi's chakra enter his body, making him fall asleep. He appeared before the huge gate, which held the Kyuubi, Itachi in the room with him.

"What do you want, gaki?"

"Shut up, you damn fox! I didn't come here of my own will!"

"I forced him here." Itachi said, hiding his eyes.

"A Uchiha!?" the Kyuubi growled. "What does a famous Uchiha want here?"

"I want to know why you're coming to terms with being confined." Itachi asked, his voice icy calm as usual.

"Hah, like I'd let that happen. I am just tired of this boy getting close to death, and the darkness that comes with it. He needs my power to survive, because he is not all that strong."

"Oh." And Naruto was back to himself.

"That's all your going to do, Itachi?" Naruto asked, noticing that Itachi actually had an expression on his face, betraying his emotions.

"For now, yes. I watched Sasuke back there. He is almost as fast as me, and his chakra is outstanding. He still lacks ability, but he is becoming a skilled ninja. Tell him that he must increse his hatred, otherwise I will increase my skills faster than he can cope with. Good day." And with that, Itachi disappeared.

Naruto got up off the ground and dusted himself off. His mind was raging right now, and he was low on chakra. Controlling the movement of the needle has used up most of his energy.

He surged forwards, running at full speed, jumping from tree to tree, trying to catch up with Sasuke and the others. Sasuke had seven Junins on his tail, and he was busy carrying the boy. He wouldn't be able to fight them by himself, even if he wasn't. He had been refusing to use his Sharingan since he returned back to Konoha, saying it gave him the chills.

Naruto wished he would make it in time so hard, he didn't notice the three shadows following him.

Next time: Chapter Three: ANBU is in trouble.

Naruto and his squad of ANBU find out that they are hated among the villagers for being traitors, working with the demon vessel. Naruto must fight his way through shinobi of Konoha to reach his house, only to find he is to late.
