Prologue pt 2

Prologue 2
***

In the shadows, five demons watched Naruto, Iruka, Shino, Shikamaru, and Neji, knowing full well that if they died, their masters would have their hides. Why these three humans and two half-breeds commandeered the attention of five of the most powerful supernaturals on the planet is a mystery to the demons and one they don't dare understand. Their masters aren't the most powerful and respected because of blood-lines after all.

"That one half-breed resonates as human," muttered the amber-winged demon quietly as their charges entered the school.

"That's Master's Chosen," proclaimed the amethyst-winged demon proudly, but quietly. The less people who know they're there the better. There are plenty of enemies who would love to get their hands on the Five's Chosens. "He resonates as human because he has elven in his blood-lines. It hasn't completely died out of his blood so although he's technically a half-breed, he is seen as human."

"My Master's Chosen is half-fire Elemental," proclaimed the emerald-winged demon quietly but just as proud as the violet-winged demon.

"Your masters' chosens are no better than my master's chosen," growled the moonstone-winged demon coldly. "Quit bragging or I will have no problems telling your masters'. You know better than that!"

"I knew there was a reason our lord Werewolf sent you," grinned the ruby-winged demon as he floated down and landed beside the amethyst-winged demon. "Any chance of telling us which lord werewolf you serve? There are at least three of them I know personally and five that have just recently attained lordship status."

"Nice try but no," said the moonstone-winged demon calmly as the amber-,amethyst-,and emerald-winged demons snickered quietly. Nothing seemed to perturb the moonstone-winged demon and so the ruby-winged demon took it as a personal challenge to annoy him. It had yet to work and he'd been doing it for nearly 300 years so far.

"Ah, come on Lunacalx," pleaded the ruby-winged demon. "Pwease?" He adopted a little child attitude causing the other three demons to fall to the ground rolling in laughter.

"That's enough Russuscalx," said Lunacalx, still calm. "Or you can explain to your master why his Chosen have been left unprotected."

"That reminds me," said the amethyst-winged demon as he glanced at the building. His Master's Chosen is in the middle of his third period so it's safe to be a little lax in attention. "Who is your master Russuscalx?"

"None of your business Conchacalx," smirked Russuscalx calmly.

"Lay off him Russuscalx," retorted the amber-winged demon. "None of us know who the other's masters are. It's
the Rules."

"Electrumcalx, you're an old prude," drawled Russuscalx as he laid down and spread out his wings to absorb the sun's warmth. They're hardly ever allowed outside and they take advantage of it when they are.

"Viridiscalx, who pulls you-" started Conchacalx curious.

"Am not telling so don't finish," said the emerald-winged demon calmly. He alone knew who everyone's master was and he alone knew that to reveal such would cause his death. The Rules are very clear on that. Only masters may reveal other masters. Their minions, i.e. the demons, may not. He had no reason to reveal them anyway. He was content in his duties and had no thoughts of betraying his master or the others'.

"Oh no, you five are here?" moaned a succubus as she crouched low in the shadows. "Why did they send you?"

"Lady Sangria Morbus! You wound us!" said Russuscalx dramatically. "We have done no harm here yet!"

"It's the 'yet' that scares me," said the succubus dryly as she sat down. "So, Russuscalx, Conchacalx, Electrumcalx, Viridiscalx, Lunacalx, tell me why you are here."

"We cannot." Lunacalx said quietly. "We are not allowed to reveal our masters' infront of the others."

"True," said Sangria slowly. "I forgot that. Hmm...I'll just go bug your masters then."

"Take care with mine," warned Viridiscalx. "He has been in a foul mood for the past couple days."

"As has mine," said Conchacalx slowly. "However, it is the full moon so that may have been affecting him."

"Thanks for the warnings," said Sangria as she stood. "Now I'm off. Tell your masters I said hi if I don't end up seeing them today."

"We will," said the five demons as one. Sangria nodded and seemingly disappeared.

"Is it just me," started Electrumcalx slowly. "Or does she seem more powerful than usual?"

"She's half-succubi, half-elemental Electrumcalx," said Conchacalx slowly. "She has had her succubi powers for most of her life. Maybe, just maybe she's finally tapping into her elemental."

"You know what scares me more?" asked Russuscalx, sounding serious for the first time in years. "She's the half-sister of the half-breed Fire Elemental down there."

"Crap," cursed Lunacalx. Fire elemental, succubi, *and* half-sister to one of the most powerful half-breeds he's seen in years? They're screwed if they piss them off.

"You know you probably scared the shit out of the demons," remarked Lord Sasuke Uchiha calmly as he watched Lady Sangria Morbus play with her new toy. A 20 year old male who mistakenly blamed his girlfriend for the fact that he can't get an erection. The girlfriend, outraged and annoyed, accidently summoned Sangria to her side as she broke it off and left her ex behind, never knowing that Sangria was watching the idiot with a blood-thirsty grin. She immediately claimed the human and brought him down to the vampire section of Undercity.

"They need to work on their shields," retorted Sangria as she ran her fingers through her toy's hair, the fear wafting off him feeding her addiction, She won't truly harm him but he'll remember this encounter and the time spent with Sangria the next time he decided to blame any female for *his* problems.

"True, but scaring the living nightlights out of them won't help," said Lord Kakashi Hatake without looking up from his book Icha Icha Paradise.

"Bite me werewolf," retorted Sangria as she curled up beside her toy. "I have no problems making sure your Chosen distrusts you from the moment he meets you."

"Too late," said Lord Kiba Inuzuka as he collapsed beside Sasuke on the couch, his demon-dog Akamaru growling lowly at Sangria's human toy. "They've meet though I doubt Iruka knows."

"He likes me," said Kakashi simply as he turned a page in his book.

"Why anyone would is a mystery," teased Sangria as Prince Gaara Sabaku entered followed by his brother, Lord Kankuro Sabaku.

"Problems Gaara?" asked Sasuke as he materalized a goblet of dark-wine for the dark elemental and a goblet of blood-wine for the incubus brother.

"The humans want to declare outright war," growled Gaara as he accepted the dark-wine with a nod of thanks and collapsed beside Sangria. Kankuro nodded his own thanks as he sat down beside Kakashi, stealing Icha Icha Paradise away from him and tossing it at Sangria. She giggled and hid it behind her pillow, both ignoring Kakashi's glare.

"Why?" asked Kiba slowly. "We have done nothing to the humans,"

"Itachi's gang," said Gaara after a look at Sasuke. Two brothers who couldn't be completely different if they tried. A full-blood vampire and a half-blood vampire, both who were accepted by the supernatural but Sasuke rose into his power and placement while Itachi let hatred and jealousy consume him. "They've gone after too many humans and half-bloods, often recruiting the half-bloods into his gang."

"What about the half-breeds at Konoha High?" asked Kiba. "I know there's at least three attending."

"Four half-breeds and one pure-blood air elemental," said Gaara. "If he dares go after my Chosen he will sincerely regret it."

"I think Itachi regrets it already," snickered Sangria. "Apparently he went after Orochimaru and Kabuto while your chosens were outside. When they saw, they interfered and now Itachi has at least four finger-burns from Neji."

"Why do I think we've got problems in the future?" muttered Sasuke to himself causing Sangria and Kiba to burst out laughing.
