ALL ALONG ch2.

Naruto walked up to the door of his home with a rather large smile plastered on his face at the memory of his first date with his beloved Hinata. As he opened the door and kicked off his shinobi footwear he was greeted with the smell of ramen and the gentle sound of Hinatas humming, with that he made his way towards the kitchen. Then he saw her standing at the counter adding the final touches to, two steaming hot bowls of ramen and he had to give it to her she knew how to please him, she had on a simple white t-shirt and a loose pair of his sweat pants......to him she never looked more beautiful. he made his way over to her hugging her snugly from behind she in turn melted into his embrace, looking up at him she let a gentle "welcome home naruto-chan I’ve missed u" glide over her lips and then brief kiss was shared between the two before he pulled back from the embrace to lean on the counter, his curiosity now getting the best of him. "Hinata chan what was the good news u said u wanted to tell me it must be good for u to sound so excited over the phone ne?". She looked at him with loving eyes "Naruto chan......" he leaned forward anticipation evident in his eyes "go and take a shower first and ill tell u over ramen". he looked at her with a pout on his handsome face it was enough to make her cave, but she shooed him in the direction of their bedroom where the shower was located and went back to finish preparing the ramen.

"Damn" naruto cursed aloud as he stripped off the familiar orange shinobi out fit and turned on the hot water, stepping into the shower "this curiosity is gonna kill me, I wonder what it could be I hope its good news". As the hot water ran over him relieving the tension of the day and rinsing the sweat from his well sculpted muscles, a product of years of missions and training he thought of the day he had proposed to Hinata or should he say blurted out that they should get married he laughed at the memory...

*-1year prior-*

It had been the day of Sasuke and Sakura chans wedding, shortly after his return to Konoha Sasuke-teme had finally realized that he did in fact have feelings towards his pink haired teammate, naturally the cries of all of the single women of konoha could be heard as crazed fangirls everywhere had to find a new idol it was then that I felt sorry for Shikamaru and Neji unspoken for, leaving them wide open..... gods was I glad to have Hinata. The day of the wedding was bright and sunny, a light breeze could be felt as well as heard rustling through the trees and I was excited I had a beautiful girlfriend that I was totally in love with, my former teammates that had found each other were getting married, and ill be damned if Sasuke teme hadn’t made me Uzumaki Naruto his best man. I put on my tux and headed to the Hyuuga compound to pick up Hinata when I arrived she had been their standing at the gate in a light blue knee high dress waiting for me I greeted he with a brief kiss as she looked me over from head to toe straightening my tie and she said "well don’t u look handsome Naruto-chan"of corse I smiled a goofy smile and returned the compliment and it was the truth she was stunning I wondered how I could’ve been so lucky as to catch the beautiful little women as I took her by the hand and we made our way to the church where the wedding was to be held.

it was a small dignified ceremony, Sakura insisted that she not only be given away by her father but Kakashi sensei as well every thing went smoothly as I stood at the front of the church behind Sasuke teme staring at her, she was beautiful and thinking about the possibility of marrying Hinata and having a house full of little Uzumakis and waking up to those beautiful eyes each morning for the rest of my life. it was only when I was nudged in the ribs sharpy by Sasuke teme did I realized I had missed my cue and scratched the back of my head nervously while fishing the ring out of my pocket and handing it to him.

later there was a reception where there was a frenzy of girls congratulating a blushing Sakura chan and an unusual sight a smiling Sasuke, a speech from myself and the hokage and a few toast wishing the newlywed couple the best later the party had really begun laughter and the sounds of friends and family could be heard throughout. It was then when I asked Hinata to dance a light blush caressed her gentle features and she accepted with a nod as we worked our way onto the dance floor and I pulled her into my arms I realized how great life was it was when the music stopped that I looked down into her eyes and decided she had to be mine, then I took her hand into mine......
"Hinata chan?" I asked with nervousness evident in my voice
"yes Naruto-chan"she replied in that sweet gentle tone that was distinctly Hinata
"WE SHOULD GET MARRIED" I blurted out unintentionally that loud
"What, Naruto Chan I.......UH" she looked confused'
"I mean" I breathed out " I love u Hinata and cant imagine not being with u forever, Marry me?"
she thought for a minute turning a deep shade of crimson. I held my breath awaiting an answer
it was then when a drunken Hiashi Hyuuga himself put his hand on my shoulder, "Well, Well if it isn’t Uzumaki I hope that you are taking care of my little girl I would hate to have to unleash Neji on u"
Hinata blushed and just as I was about to spout a "yes sir" in my most respectful tone Hinata jumped in
"actually father Naruto chan just asked me to marry him" she said blush still adorning her cheeks
I gulped waiting for the worst, "is that so " Hiashi questioned with an unreadable look on his face "well then I suggest you say yes and take the boy off pins and needles he is after all one of the best shinobis in Konoha"
now I was the one blushing and before I could do or say anything I heard a gentle " I was about to do just that" my mouth hit the ground as she pulled me into a tight embrace "is love to marry u Naruto chan" it was then I returned the embrace whispering "I love u " into hinatas ear over and over again as I heard the leader of the Hyuuga clan calling everyones attention to share the good news

end flashback

Naruto laughed as he turned the water off and reached for a towel, he stepped out of the shower he mused to himself "not a normal proposal but when have I ever done anything normal, im just glad she didn’t say no"........
