Chapter 2
Naruto watched angrily as the typical group of girls swarmed around Sasuke. They were all worried about his bruised cheek. One girl was even trying to take Sasuke’s books for him, like a bruised cheek affected the ability to carry things.
“Bastard.” Naruto mumbled jealously as he walked over to his own locker. He hated the fact that Sasuke got attention of the girl he wanted so easily, and yet brushed her off like she wasn’t good enough to lick the dirt off his shoes. Naruto didn’t even want to think where that put him on the social ladder. But if nothing else, Naruto had something
Sasuke didn’t. He had friends. Sasuke may be liked by all the girls, but he had no friends. Naruto had a few. But that’s all he needed. They were loyal, they were funny, and they liked him the way he was. He was sure Sasuke couldn’t say the same thing about himself.
Sasuke tried looking past the group of girls so he could scan his surroundings for someone worth dragging into his sex world. He looked over at Neji, and quickly thought about him. Neji would be the closest thing to Sasuke’s rival, in sports and in academics, and he knew from experience that Neji didn’t like to lose. He immediately scratched him from the list, the last thing he needed was to defend himself against two bastards.
And then he locked eyes with an angry looking blonde teen. The school was small enough that he knew who the boy was. Naruto Uzumaki, the boy with apparently no talents. Sasuke didn’t know enough about him to judge him though. But he knew how to test him.
“Move.” He growled at his followers. They all got out of his way. He stepped over to the blonde who was now digging through his locker. Sasuke took a peek inside and noticed lunch bags, books thrown in so badly there had to be spine damage and torn pages, and tons of other trash.
“What do you want?” Naruto turned around to glare at Sasuke.
“You should really clean out your locker.”
“You should really mind your own business.”
Sasuke shrugged, “You’re going to have to pay for the damages to those books.”
Naruto looked thoughtfully into his locker, grabbed a book, closed it, and threw it back in on top of the rest of the trash. “Happy?”
Sasuke arched an eyebrow, “Did you do that to make me happy?”
The locker door slammed shut and Naruto made a ‘tch’ sound. “I couldn’t care less if you are happy or not.”
Sasuke smirked, guessing the opposite. Maybe there was some hope for this boy. “Hey, wait. Naruto, can we talk real fast?”
Naruto turned on his heel and stared at Sasuke. He wanted to walk away, but he had to admit he was curious what Sasuke, a boy who he had never talked to, except to exchange an insult or two, had to say to him.
Certain that Naruto would follow him, Sasuke lead him into an empty classroom.
“Close the door.”
Naruto absentmindedly pushed the door shut. “What is it?”
“Why do you always glare at me? Are you jealous?”
“Of course not.”
“Are you sure? What do you have going for you? You suck at school. You’re in detention almost every day. You’re horrible in sports. The only thing you seem to be good for is getting beat on, and being able to stand up for more.” He watched Naruto carefully. Naruto had his hands fisted at his sides. Sasuke took a step closer, “And I know you have a crush on Sakura. Doesn’t it bother you to see her throw herself at me day after day? She barely even recognizes your existence. And that’s only because she thinks you’re a nuisance.”
Sasuke wasn’t surprised when Naruto took one of his fists and punched him in the stomach. He was surprised how much it actually hurt. It was a punch that matched Gaara’s, if not beating it. And he was also surprised he had said as much as he had before Naruto had reacted. Sasuke bent over slightly, trying to catch his breath.
“You’re a jerk, Sasuke. Is that what you brought me here for, to insult me?”
“You could leave.”
Naruto looked back at the door. He didn’t know what the hell Sasuke was doing, or what he was trying to accomplish. “I have friends.” Naruto stated.
Sasuke raised an eyebrow.
“You’re such a stuck up ass that no one actually wants to be your friend, they just want to fuck you.”
Sasuke dug his fingers into this sleeves. The longer he stayed in the same room with Naruto, the more he hated him. He wished he could lock the door and fuck Naruto into submission right then and there. He mused over the fact that whenever he got angry he got horny. That had to be another unhealthy habit.
“You’re right.” Sasuke said, trying to keep his voice in check, “What about you? Do you want to fuck me?”
Naruto jerked back in surprise and made a non-too flattering face. “Hell no.”
“Then…” Sasuke knew how cheesy he was about to sound, “You actually want to be a friend?”
“Uh…”
“Good, then you can come over tonight."
“Come over to the Uchiha house?” Naruto said in surprise.
“Seven o’clock.” Sasuke brushed past him and left the room with a shocked Naruto.
“What the hell was all that about?” Naruto yelled into the empty room.

“You’re not really going to go over there, are you?” Kiba asked, slightly shocked by the whole story.
“Maybe he really wants a friend.”
“Sasuke Uchiha does not want friends.” Kiba emphasized by swinging his fork.
Naruto shrugged. Talking to Kiba hadn’t helped clear up any confusion he was feeling. He still didn’t know why Sasuke hadn’t hit him back after Naruto punched him. He didn’t know why Sasuke said all those mean things. And he certainly didn’t understand why Sasuke had asked him to come hang out. It all seemed like an episode of out some screwed up high school twilight zone.
“You’re not seriously thinking of going, are you?”
“If you don’t hear from me, you know where to look for the body.”
“That’s not funny.”

“Uzumaki? Are you sure?” Gaara’s staticy voice carried over the cell phone.
Sasuke smirked, “I think he’ll work well. He’s got a strong personality and he hits hard.”
“You had him hit you? Did it turn you on?”
“Yes or no?” Sasuke gritted out.
The other end was silent for a moment, “Yes.”
