Lil' Sakura

The moon sat high in the sky. Sakura's cheeks were covered with the salty residue of her tears. She would jerk back and forth in her sleep, imagining the rest of her life. She would be considered inferior to any ninja, even one with the lowliest skills. Her only two career options presented themselves to her; she could either try to use her charm to be a salesperson and make dirt money at a store, or she could use her body to be a prostitute and make dirt money on the street.

Sakura's eyes darted up and down under her eyelids. She saw Sasuke standing in front of her wearing a black cloak laced with golden thread. At his hips were two daggers. The handles shone with pure silver. Sasuke looked in front of his feet to see a puddle of mud. Then he looked to his left into Sakura's eyes. She bowed her head in obedience and threw herself across the mud puddle. Sasuke stepped directly on Sakura's spine. As Sakura winced in pain, Sasuke laughed.

Sakura pulled her blanket over her head as she suffered through her nightmare. Too focused on her own hellish thoughts, she could not hear her own door open as a dark figure crept into her room.
