The Apartment

Neji walked as fast as he could - which, considering how hard he was, wasn't very fast - to his private bathroom, hurriedly yanking his clothes off him. Buck-naked and sweating, he hopped into the shower-stall and reached for the cold-water knob, already gritting his teeth in anticipation of the shock.

Fucking cold-water showers. Ever since he (and his hormones) had made the realization that Tenten was a GIRL, with all the fascinating curves that entailed, he'd become all too familiar with them. A few times, on missions, he'd had to resort to throwing himself fully-clothed into freezing lakes just so his teammates - especially Tenten, who seemed to know things about him even he didn't - wouldn't notice the tell-tale bulge in his pants. His teammates thought his Byakugan's extreme range was making it too difficult to pay attention to what was three feet in front of him, which was annoying - and Gai-sensei, shockingly, seemed to know exactly why Neji kept falling into water, which was horrifying. He'd taken to wearing a dark garment around his waist to help disguise his too-frequent erections (seriously, was he some sort of horndog? Shit, was he like INUZUKA?!) but he still needed to cool his blood whenever she bent over - or jumped - or smiled at him just so - or played with her kunai - or....

Dammit, he WAS a horndog. (At least for her. Thankfully, he was not this stupid when it came to anyone else. This thing - this problem - seemed to be Tenten-exclusive.)

Things had been getting worse since they made the decision to move in together. He loved being out of the compound - he liked their apartment - and when she wasn't unintentionally turning him on, Tenten and Lee were much better company than any of his relatives.

But having her so near to him, all the time, that certainly wasn't helping his problem. Knowing that she was asleep in a big soft bed only a little away from his, without the distraction of being on a mission to help him tamp down fantasies of crawling into her sheets...being able to see her fresh-waked, sleepy-eyed and clad only in the overlarge shirts and boy's boxers she liked to sleep in and her hair bed-tousled...oh gods her hair. And now that image of her in those ought-to-be-illegal shorts and that strap slipping off her shoulder and her FACE when she rolled the can against her skin...

He groaned her name, and unconsciously his hand dropped to gently rub his aching erection. He startled back at the wave of pleasure he'd brought himself, and forced himself to let go. Biting his lip, he reached for the cold-water knob again...

Only to freeze in utter shock as another, smaller hand reached out and stopped him from turning the water on. He stared in utter shock at the hand now entwining at his own, swallowing hard as he registered someone pressing themselves against his back - a naked someone, he could feel nothing but bare skin on skin...

"...Tenten?"

Next chapter: Neji finally gets some relief. The end of the "Heat" arc. After that is ShikaIno.

Question: Any ideas for het pairings you'd like to see? I'm pretty sure I'm going to write Shika/Ino (because I LIKE them) in this series, and maybe KibaHina, but any others? Especially, any ideas for Naruto to pair with? So far I'm playing with NaruTema, NaruSaku, NaruHana or even NaruSakuSasu. Or Naru/female-Sasuke.

Or any ideas for the older ninja, like Genma, Kakashi, Anko, Shizune?
