"Fiance'e.." The word rang in Naruto's ears along with a buzzing noise that made his body go numb.He stared at his friend, unable to say anything. He lightly heard the sound of thunder rummble and heard Lee murmur something about the wheather and dissapeared back into the house.Gaara ran a hand through his marroon locks and shut the door behind him and stared back at his firend.

"Naruto...I'm..So sorry..I didnt mean to keep this from you.." Gaara's voice was almost pleading. He walked towards his hurt friend and tried to give him a reassuring touch on the cheek but the blonde backed away, his head hung, his golden locks covering those beautiful blue eyes from him.

"..I think I've made a mistake..." Naruto murmured lowly as raindrops fell from the sky.

"Naruto.." Naruto continued to back away before he turned away and ran off into the rain.He didnt care where he was running to. He just didnt want to be near there. He didnt want to feel this way... The rain seemed to drizzle onto Naruto, soaking him to te bone, but he didnt care. He was cold and tired from running. He stopped in the rain as he noticed a large tree. He slowly walked under it and wrapped his arms around the large trunk. Tears streamed down his cheeks and he let out loud broken sobs, them being drowned away into the rain. Why would Gaara, his best friend in the world, the man he loved, do this to him? He couldnt understand..

Why didnt he tell me..? We've been friends for years..Why didnt he tell me?! Naruto felt so stupid, so foolish. He continued to sob, completly heartbroken..

"Naruto!" he heard a familiar voice out in the rain. He knew who it was, he just wished it wasnt him. He slowly looked over his shoulder, at his panting friend standing there, soaked as much as he was. He turned his head away and lay his forehead on the tree trunk, holding onto it tighter as he sobbed some more.Gaara walked over quietly and gazed down at the blonde beofre laying a gentle hand on his arm.

"..Naru--" Naruto slapped the hand away, whipping around to face his friend, anger and hurt burning in his tear filled eyes.

"Why?! Why didnt you tell me?! I thought you were my friend.." Naruto looked down, more tears flowing down his cheeks.Gaara felt horrible..

"..I..Naruto, you have to understand..I..Thought...It would be easier for our friendship if I hadnt told you.."

"I dont understand..You were so nice to me..You always were there for me..And I..I fell for you.." Gaara was shocked at what his friend was saying, but he continued to listen.Naruto stared at his friend.

"..Why...Why did you get so close to me?! Why did you let me get so attatched.." Naruto voice cracked on the last sentence and he let out a small sobbing noise. "Why do you even care about me?!!" Naruto screamed. Then, the sides of his face were grabbed harshly and he was pulled forward into a rough, passionate kiss. Gaara pulled back from the blonde and stared at him desperatly.

"Because I'm in love with you, you idiot! ..So much it scares the crap out of me.." Now it seemed Gaara would cry by the sound of his voice.Naruto's heart pounded in his chest, hardly beleiving what his friend was saying.

"You're always so happy, so fragile.. When we first met, I couldnt tell you I was engaged! I couldnt tell you anything about Lee! I wanted you to be in love with me too..!" Gaara laid his head against Naruto's."I tried to keep my distance, but I just couldnt help but fall in love with you.." Naruto let out a sob and wrapped his arms around the taller man, nuzzling deeply into his chest.

"Gaara.." Naruto looked up at his friend. He tip-toed upward until his lips met Gaara's. Gaara let out a surprised gasp, but kiss back deeply.The red-head left a trail of butterfly kisses down the younger man's neck, causing him to shiver, he licked and sucked at his neck,leaving a rather noticable hickey. He nibbled at the thick vein on the blonde's neck, causing him to moan. Gaara breathed hot onto his neck as he spoke. "Naruto...I want you.." Naruto blushed heavily at his friend's pleading voice, gripping his soaked jacket.He knew all of this was wrong..But Gaara's voice made it sound so right. Naruto bit his bottom lip and sighed. He reluctantly pushed Gaara away. His friend made a fustrated groan as he was pushed away.

"G-Gaara...I...I cant do this..Not if you're engaged.." Really, Naruto wanted Gaara just as much as he did..But he just couldnt do this.. Gaara sighed heavily and laid his head down on Naruto shoulder.

"Gods, Naruto..I'm just..So torn.." Gaara whimpered. Naruto felt his shoulder dampen. His eyes widened. Was..Gaara crying? He had never seen his friend cry before..Naruto wrapped his arms around the red-head and brought him down to sit. He allowed Gaara to lay his head on his lap. Gaara nuzzled into the shorter man's stomach, wrapping his arms around his waist. Naruto smiled weakly down at his friend.Gaara never acted this clingy towards him. It was kind of cute in a way..But it also made his heart ache.

It's hard to see him this way.. ...Did..Did Lee get to see this side of Gaara..? Did he get to cuddle with him and laugh? It all made Naruto want to cry again, but all his tears were spent.

Naruto sighed as he closed the door of his apartment.He kicked off his shoes and removed his wet socks.He walked silently to the bathroom and flicked on the light.Naruto blinked at the unfamiliar person in the mirrior. This person coudlnt possibly be him. This person was pale, all the color drained from his usually pink lips. He looked incredibly tired. His usually bright blue eyes were dull and sad. His eyes were red and puffy and his cheeks felt slightly sticky and had a slight stining sensation from the tears that ran down his cheeks. He touched his face and stared blankly at himself.He lowred his hand and blinked at the hickey on his neck. He touched it.

Gaara-kun.. He sighed once more and removed his wet clothes. Gaara..You're in love with me..? You cant do this to yourself..You should just forget all about me.. Naruto felt tears form in his eyes.

"Naruto..I want you.." Naruto alowed the tears to roll down his cheeks.He backed into his bathroom wall and slumped to the floor. He wanted Gaara. He wanted to be with him. He wanted to feel Gaara inside of him..

"Because I'm in love you!" Naruto looked down at his naked body with teary eyes. His eyes widened as his saw his arousal, hard and throbbing. He hated himself then. He bit his bottom lip as his hand strayed down between his legs. He took hold of his throbbing erection and stroked it once. He gasp as pleasure shot through his body. He stroked it more, moaning with each pump from his hand. He bit his bottom lip harshley, but not enough to draw blood. He pump himself faster, being only able to think of the red-head that he loved. Naruto yawned as he walked into the living room the next morning. His eyes hurt but he tried to ingore them. He sat on his knees on the couch, facing the window above it.He opened the window, a cool breeze making its way into his stuffy apartment. He took in the crisp scents of the morning, resting his arms on the window sil.He looked out at the world, at the people jogging down the streets, the passing cars. he rested his head on his arms and sighed.

"What will I do today..?" He asked himself aloud. He felt his stomach growl and thought it'd be best to eat something. He got up from the couch and moved to his small kitchen area. He opened his cabinets, hoping to find some ramen inside, but only found a box of cookies. I need to go shopping.. He thought. He opened the small box and reached inside. He grabbed a cookie and shoved it in his mouth. He heard the doorbell ring and he blinked.

G-Gaara?! N-No Naruto. It's problably just the landlady. She hasnt picked up your rent for this month, remember? He ran back to his room to grab his wallet. The doorbell rang again.

"I'm coming!" Naruto called, running to the door. He opened it and smiled, but his smile immediatly deflated.

"G-Gaara-kun..?" Naruto asked in a bit of a high voice. His red-headed friend gazed sheepishly at Naruto.

"Unm..Hey,Naruto.." Gaara looked down for a moment before speaking again. "How're you doing..?"

Naruto blinked. "Er..I'm fine.." Then silence.

Gaara shuffled his feet nervously. "Uhm..Hey, Lee isnt in town this weekend..Wanna come over?" Naruto looked over to the side. "U-Uhn..I..I dont know..I mean.." Gaara gave a somewhat saddened look. "So, you're never gonna hang out with me again?" Naruto jumped a bit. "N-No, no! We can still hang out! Sure, I'd love to come over." Gaara smiled some and bent down slightly, laying a gentle kiss on the smaller man's lips. Naruto's heart beat sped up and he pulled out of the kiss.

"Gaara! P-Please stop.." Naruto looked down, blushing. Gaara placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, Naruto." Naruto wouldnt look up at him but he knew his friend must've been smirking.Naruto slowly looked up at his friend.

"Look, if we intend to continue being friends, no more kissing and stuff! Let's just act like we normally do!" It almost killed Naruto to come to that conclusion, but that's the way it had to be.

Gaara sighed some. "Fine..no kissing." Naruto smiled at his friend. It was refreshing to see his friend in higher spirits today. And he was glad he was actully getting to see the other side of Gaara for once.


"Alright, come over tonight, M'kay? I'll have movies and stuff. I promise no kissing and no funny stuff." Naruto only smiled wider. He knew when Gaara made a promise, he made a promise. But it also made him kind of sad, in a way..
