The New Avenger

“Sasori, you and Daidara go down there in Konoha and have a little fun with the Hyuga boy. But don’t kill him just yet.” said the dark haired man with a sinister voice. “But why keep him alive? Why not just kill him as well as the others?” responded the blonde haired boy. “We don’t want Konoha to know of our plans nor of our presence here in the city. And imagine how much pain it will cause the young Hyuga to know he was the one to exterminate his own clan.” explained Itachi. “Now go.” “Alright Itachi.” responded the red haired boy and the blonde.

Meanwhile, in the peaceful village of the leaf, the young Hyuga was still training. Hours turned to days, and the young Hyuga still trained, preparing himself for the worst. After mastering new fighting styles and Jutsu, the young Hyuga finally decided to go home. After his usual routine, Neji turned to face a photograph of his father, who had died when Neji was very young. He died to preserve the safety of his clan. Neji dropped to his knees and burned his incense, paying tribute to his fallen father. After his tribute, he decided to head off to bed. He was in the midst of his slumber, when he heard a noise coming from outside. The young Hyuga walked to his door, opened it slowly and peered outside. It was too dark to see anything. He heard another strange noise coming from the trashcans, so he slowly walked towards them. But sure enough, it was only a cat, rummaging through the garbage cans.

Then Neji felt something strange on his arm, it was a thin string. He brushed the string off, and another appeared. He was being tied by the thin, barely visible strings. He was moving in all directions and couldn’t control his body, he was being controlled. Finally, the movements stopped, and the strings forced him to turn around. He then saw who it was controlling him. It was a member of the akttasuki, the marionette master Sasori.

“What the hell are you rogue ninja scum doing here?!” asked the Hyuga angrily. “Oh, no real reason at all. We’re just here for you.” said the blonde who slowly crept up behind Sasori. “You must be Deidara, the explosive ninja.” said Neji . “Wow! You know all about me ehh?” said Daidara. “I know enough to know that you’re the lowest scum in the barrel and not worth a second of my time.” said Neji with a smirk on his face. “You have some nerve kid, talking to your captors like that!” said the blonde in a annoyed mood. “Sasori, Deidara, quit fooling around.” said a mysterious voice from behind. “Aw come on Itachi, you never let us have any fun. You take everything too seriously.” said the blonde in a childish mood.

“Do what we came here to do. Or I’ll kill you both.” said Itachi in a firm tone. Then all Neji heard was “Feather Illusion Jutsu!”, then all was black.. “It’s about time you guys followed orders. Now, we use this young Hyuga to our advantage. Onward…”

Neji slowly opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings. Everything was all in flames and there were lifeless bodies scattered. "Blood? Why is there blood on me? Why am I sitting in blood? And more importantly of all, who does this blood belong to?" thought the young Hyuga to himself. There, in front of Neji, was a body, a familiar body. It was the head of the main branch, Hinata's father, lifeless and covered in blood. "Hinata's father, what is he doing there? And next to him...Hanabi? What happened!? What happened to my clan!?" Neji yelled furiously. There, out of the corner of his eye, was the body of Hinata, trembling and drenched in blood.

"Hinata?...". The young Hyuga ran over, trying not to trip in the pools of red liquid. He sat there, gently picked her head up, and rested it on his lap. "Hinta, what happened to you? What happened to our clan?..." asked the young Hyuga, now in tears. "T-The clan...the clan was murdered,...by..." Lady Hinata said as she coughed up blood and slowly passed out. "Lady Hinata! I must take her to see Lady Tsunade at once." He gently lifted her and began to walk away, passing the remanants of his clan and housing.

Minutes later, Neji and Hinata, both drenched in blood, arrived at the hospital. "Nurse, please help! She is bleeding to death!"said Neji in a worrisome tone. "I'll see what I can do. Please wait here." said the nurse. Neji sat down and put his blood-stained hands on his brow and began to think. 'What or who could have done this? Why did they do this?...And .....' Neji just remembered, "The Akatsuki! I saw them and then blacked out, probably from some genjutsu. And when I awoke, I saw chaos and destruction. I will get those Akatsuki scum!" "Excuse me,Mr. Hyuga, Lady Hinata is in need of extreme medical help. You must go get Lady Tsunade, she is the only one able to heal her."said the nurse. "Alright. I will go get her..."
