Chapter Two

(A.N) Hey. Day two and two chapters. I think that’s pretty good. Well for me at least. Well, same warnings and shit that came in yesterday. This is going to be a long ass fic series and shit, blah blah blah.

Same sex warnings and shit. Now I hope you have a good time reading this story.

Well, not really anything else for me to say here. Just have a good time reading.

Through the Eyes of the Insane ~ Chapter Two

Groaning, Naruto opened his eyes, warm and comfortable in his bed. He was alone this time, having had to leave Sasuke by the fire last night. The boy simply refused to go back to the bedroom, waning to stay in front of the fire. He figured it was fine, since it seemed to make him feel more comfortable than his bed had.

Staring at his ceiling, he lay there for a few moments thinking about the raven haired man he had found last night. Having gone out to try and find his cat, Kyuubi, he managed to stumble upon the man lying on the ground, screaming something or other about the lights. He had been freezing, pale and very incoherent, leading Naruto to believe he had amnesia. At least he had a name to go by though.

Sasuke. It was an odd name that he had never come across before, but he couldn’t say it wasn’t interesting. Such was who it was given to. Though he still couldn’t understand how it was that he had been glaring at the cat, calm, cool and angry one moment, then pretty much horrified the next moment.

Sighing, he stood and pulled his jeans on, zipping them up and running a hand through his blond hair. Walking out into the living room, he turned his head, seeing Sasuke curled up in front of the fire on the floor, sleeping peacefully. He couldn’t help but smile. Seeing Sasuke seem so peaceful seemed to warm him and make him feel all fuzzy inside.

Shaking his head, he walked into the kitchen to start breakfast, stopping only to spare a glare at all the piled high pots and pans that had yet to be put away. And it just so happened that the pan he wanted was right on the bottom of the stack. Figures.

Moving some of the things off the pile, he set them aside, finally reaching his destination at the bottom. Damned thing. He turned, only to knock over the small stack that he had been making to one side.

“GOD DAMNIT!” again, he stopped only to glare at everything littering the floor now, but left it to put the pan on the stove. He turned to pick them up, but stopped as he spotted the raven haired man in the doorway to the kitchen.

“Good morning.” He smiled brightly to Sasuke and bend down, picking a pile up and piling it back up on the side, though he knew he should actually just put the flippin things away instead of just letting them pile up like that. He had no problem with washing them; it was just when it came to putting things away that he always had the trouble.

Sasuke looked around the kitchen and raised an eyebrow, wondering what the hell happened. It looked like a war zone. There were pots and pans all over the floor, the fridge door had popped open with the impact of the pile, and Naruto looked like he had been hiding behind the table until he stood up with the pile in hand.

He had woken up on the floor, which confused him, but he let it go for now not wanting to try and understand the logic of IT. He didn’t say anything to the blond who had pulled out eggs and bacon and had began to cook, but he sat down watching him with an icy stare. He was angry. More so than he could even know why.

There was a meow from under the table, the cat coming up to rub against Naruto’s leg, back and forth looking for some food for the morning. Naruto smiled down at him and bent down picking him up. “Morning Kyuubi. You’re looking for food aren’t you?” He held the cat to his chest while he made sure the stuff on the stove wouldn’t burn and moved over to the cat’s dish, letting the feline down.

He pulled out a small jug of food and poured some into the bowl, the cat giving a happy prowl and rubbing Naruto’s hands once before turning to his bowl to eat.

Standing and putting the chow away, he jumped a foot in the air as a loud crash came from behind him. He turned quickly to see Sasuke holding his hand to his chest and glaring at the pan, which was now on the floor. He moved back, slowly trying to find the door to leave.

Walking over, Naruto bent, picking the pan up by the handle and sighing. Turning, he saw the raven jump away from him as if he was wielding something dangerous. Well, he figured he was, but the boy shouldn’t have been scared of a frying pan. He noticed the hand that the other was holding was turning red, and he quickly set the pan back down on the counter.

“Are you alright?” He moved forward to the other, only to have to stop short as Sasuke moved back quickly away from him to run into a wall. Ok. No fast movements. He moved slowly, holding his hand out, again trying to coax him out of the corner, mostly so that he could make sure his hand was alright.

Again, Sasuke contemplated trusting Naruto, but eventually reached forward, taking his hand with his good one, and gasped as he was pulled forward, jerking back slightly when his injured hand was taken into the other warm ones.

Naruto examined the burned hand, sighing slightly and pulling him carefully towards the sink, turning on the water and letting it run over the burns. The cool water soothed his hand, but he still watched the blond carefully, not really knowing whether it was safe to simply let the other that close to something that hurt so much without the icy feeling flowing over the pain.

This was going to be a long day.

After breakfast (during which, Naruto had to teach Sasuke how to use a fork and knife), Naruto had to leave for work. He had worried about this for the duration of breakfast and getting ready for his job. He wasn’t sure it was safe to leave the raven home in his house all alone. He couldn’t be sure whether he was simply a guy who couldn’t remember anything at all or whether he was someone putting on an act only to steal everything. Then again, it wasn’t like he had much to steal in the first place.

He sighed, slipping his shoes on and looking back into the house. It wasn’t like he was really going to be gone for all that long. He had locked the sliding glass door at the back and closed the curtains everywhere in the house, blocking out the outside and hopefully quelling the urge to go outside. The last thing he needed was the guy leaving the house again, only to be found dead later on because of hypothermia or whatever other crap was floating around outside. Or animals. He grimaced at that particular image.

The raven poked his head around the corner, looking at the blond with curious eyes and slowly making his way forward. Naruto smiled to him. “I’ll be home soon. Be careful and be good. Stay inside.” Though he realized that if the guy really couldn’t remember anything, it wasn’t like he was going to be able understand what he was saying, he still said it hoping that somehow the message got across.

Sasuke jumped high in the air as the cat hissed from behind him, and he turned, growling low in his throat back at the cat. Naruto sighed and simply turned, walking out and locking the door behind him. He turned his head skyward, looking up at the clouds and at the bright sun, then turned back to look at the house once more. Sasuke was poking his head out from behind the curtains, looking at him, and watching him as he walked back off the porch towards his car.

He opened the car door, and when he disappeared inside, the head in the window disappeared as well. He backed out of the driveway, and took off down the road, soon coming to the highway, which was packed more tightly than it was on any normal morning. Naruto groaned.

This was going to be a long, long day.

(A.N) Ok. So this story is starting off slowly. Mostly because Sasuke doesn’t know how to speak English, but that will be fixed soon. At least I certainly hope so. Well, ya. It will be fixed soon. Alright, thanks guys! Please review!
