狐火 - Fox Fire

A/N: this is the revised ch2,with sai and different ending

A crash echoed through the forest around the training grounds as another tree fell. To say that Naruto was angry was an under statement.

Naruto paused to catch his breath, he looked at the tree he had just broken. It wasn’t enough, he moved onto the next one. Ninja in the training fields paused as Naruto tore into the second tree in a flurry of Kicks and punches, the sheer power he was putting behind his blows tearing through the bark and wood.

Suddenly Naruto danced backwards away from the tree as it started to sway wildly. Everyone’s attention was brought back to Naruto and the tree as what was left of the base tore apart sending splinters in all directions.

Naruto watched as the tree trunk took a freak spin causing it to fall in his direction. He watched as it crashed to the ground mere inches from the spot he was standing. *sigh* It still wasn’t enough.

Sakura and Sai had been training together at the other end of the fields but when the trees started falling and the other ninja started talking about Naruto being the cause, the went to find him. They had just got within sight of Naruto as the tree fell next to him, the branches obscuring him from sight.

They looked at each other for a split second both fearing the worst for their blonde friend. “Naruto!” “Dickless?”

Naruto just climbed out of the branches surrounding him when he heard Sai and Sakura call out to him.

“What do you guys want?” his voice held an angry edge that the two were not expecting

Sakura stopped short of him “Naruto…”

Sai continued, as though he didn’t notice naruto’s agitation “We saw the tree fall on you cand came to determine your condition, isn’t that what friends do dickless?”

Naruto’s mood thunderstormed at hearing the casual insult “Lay off sai, im not in the mood to deal with your shit!”

Sai turned to sakura “Am I doing something wrong? Why is dickless angry”

Naruto suddenly spun quickly around aiming a roundhouse kick at Sai’s head.
Sai spun around with Anbu speed to block naruto’s kick and flip him backwards.

Naruto deftly twisted in the air and landed in a crouch and glared at Sai “Just leave me alone”

“What is the matter Dickless? You are acting heven more hotheaded than usual”

“You are! Now back off!”

Naruto turned back to the forest to continue his conquest. Behind the tree that he had just felled was a large rock. Naruto grinned to himself ‘maybe this will be enough’ he thought as he sprinted forward and began pounding into the boulder.

Sakura turned to her teammate “It might be best if you didn’t talk to him Sai, he’s pretty agitated right now”

Just then Naruto threw his fist against the rock one last time with all his might. Sakura gasped and Sai winced as Naruto’s fist broke against the rock with a sickening crunch.

Naruto screamed in pain as Sakura ran up to him “Naruto let me see it, I can help”

“Don’t touch me, I can go to the hospital”

Sakura glared at her friend “I’m an experienced Medic Nin Naruto, I can help fix that” she said as she reached out for naruto’s hand.

Naruto used his good hand to push Sakura away from him. “I’m fine ill take care of it just leave me alone!”

Sai had had enough of this. “Naruto, you are hurting yourself and refusing medical attention, what is the problem?”

“You want to know what’s wrong! Fine! You two are what’s wrong! For the past three months I have been cooped up in this town doing crap D Rank missions, then I find out that you guys have been out doing normal missions!”

Sai was confused. “THAT is what this is all about? Missions!?”

“Its about the fact that you guys didn’t tell me! For the past three months you two and Kakashi have been disappearing for days! I thought you guys were avoiding me, but u were out on missions without me! I don’t know what is worse, You should have told me...” narutos whispering trailed off into a whisper. Naruto’s eyes were filled with tears at this point his team, his only family had betrayed him and left him in the dark.

Sakura and Sai were stunned. They weren’t prepared to see their usually upbeat friend so down. He looked vulnerable they didn’t know what to do.

Naruto stood up and cradled his left arm ‘thank god I didn’t break my right hand’ he thought to himself. Naruto started to walk away then stopped and groaned “Damnit!” he turned to his teammates “Sakura, can you set the bones? I don’t want to have to deal with Tsunade”

Sakura stepped foreward and took the offered hand “O-ok” she murmered as she started healing it “you should still go to the hospital to get it looked at though.”

Naruto took his hand back when she was finished and shrugged. “The damn fox will take care of it” with that, Naruto turned and walked away, still cradling his arm.

Naruto leaned wearily against the door to his apartment once he was inside. He hated coming back to this tiny space he called home. Everyone else he knew had a better apartment than him, a few even had houses. All he had was a two room hole in the wall, one room was living room, bedroom and kitchen rolled into one. The other was the bathroom.

Naruto slid down the door and winced as his hand touched the floor. *You seemed pretty sure that I would heal that for you kit.*

Naruto chuckled darkly “Its not much of a life but you’re kinda attached to it.” He replied to the fox.
Kyuubi laughed *True kit, true…*

Naruto sighed as he got up from the door, he glanced down at his hand as he felt the familiar red chakra swirl around and through his hand. “Thanks Kyuu.”

Nobody knew of his friendship with the demon fox. It would just make things more complicated. It would make it harder for people to accept him, especially the villagers.

*So why did you do this to your hand anyway?* Kyuubi questioned.

“I was trying to take some frustration out on some trees, they didn’t work so I tried a rock.” Naruto muttered

Kyuubi laughed uproariously at this *what’s got you so frustrated that you tried to kill a rock kit?*

“For the past few months I’ve been reduced to D rank missions inside the village to keep me safe from Akatsuki.” Naruto fumed “On top of that nobody will train with me except my friends, and they have been out on the normal missions that I would be on!”

After a while of sitting there naruto figured that the fox had receded and wasn’t going to respond. He slowly got up from his spot at the door and looked around his room.

“Might as well get something done around here” with that he grabed his headset and started cleaning his house

Naruto screamed and tore off his headphones as the fox’s yell echoed through his mind
“Ohh my god! Kyuubi what the hell, that scared the crap outa me!

*Well if that music wasn’t so loud maybe I wouldn’t have to yell. I’ve been trying to get your attention for a half an hour!*

Naruto grinned sheepishly “Heh heh, sorry bout that. So whadaya want?

*Do you want me to teach you?*

Naruto fell aver at the simple question the size of a bombshell. ‘Why the hell would he want to teach me’ Naruto thought to himself “what do you mean Kyu?”

*I mean that you made me realize that I have thousands of years of knowledge going to waste. Because of this im asking you if you would like to take advantage of it* Kyuubi stated

Naruto thought to himself for a second ‘This is a chance of a lifetime, but if anyone found out about this the id be in deep shit…’ Naruto quickly weighed his choices

“Kyuubi, I accept
